I'd recommend switching to a HD pawn retexture that doesn't do that if you want HD pawns (like mine: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2275310562) .

It's possible to add any number of colour channels with HAR races, skin and hair are just standard ones all races have by default. It's a surprisingly flexible system, just not many races make full use of it.
From my experience if the wing use the second color channel then character editor can change it. Arachne race is the same, the spider body uses the second color channel allowing players to change "Color B" in character editor to change the body color. If this race isn't using the second color channel for the wings then ill honestly be surprised and super impressed since I didn't even know it was possible to add a entirely separate color like that
Briefly testing it with [KV] Show Hair With Hats or Hide All Hats seems to fix the issue. However it's incompatible with CE, so you might have to find an alternative if you also use Combat Extended.
