That's right, the cockpit can't withstand any fire, and in my case it doesn't have to. ^^ My goal was to rebuild the ship so that the immersion was right and that I liked the ship. I have achieved this goal; I have already spent hundreds of hours with the MX5E-C.

As for the passenger seats, that wasn't a question of necessity but also a question of immersion.

I really like this design but it feels like it's made out of paper and if there's a hull breach anywhere, you don't have your pilot protected like if they were in a standalone cockpit. The passenger seats are also completely unnecessary and should be optional, especially since one of them gets in the way really badly.

Ja, bei einem SV mit Innenraum sollte auch das Cockpit ein Teil davon sein, damit sich das glaubwürdig anfühlt. Für mich ist das wichtig, da ich hieraus einen grossen Teil des Spasses ziehe. Bei einem kleinen Ein-Mann-SV ohne Innenraum geht ein vorgefertigtes Cockpit natürlich in Ordnung. Aber zu der Kategorie gehört die MX5E eigentlich nicht.

jrandall hat das vorgefertigte Cockpit verwendet, weil das natürlich wesentlich robuster ist. Das ist für mich jedoch nicht relevant, da ich die MX5E primär zum Entdecken und Sammeln nutze, nicht zum Kämpfen. Und mit Upgrade auf T3 kann man durchaus den einen oder anderen Kampf bestehen, aber das ist für mich sekundär.

Super Schiff, bin genau der gleichen Meinung wie der Erbauer. Jrandall hat ein tolles Schiff gebaut aber das Cockpit ist hier deutlich stimmungsvoller. Vielen Dank für dieses Schiff

Revision 4 released which fixes the issue where you get positioned outside the ship when exiting the pilot's seat. The cause was one of the Empyrion updates since v1.8.8. Details as always in the changelog.

The fact that you are not outside the ship when you leave the cockpit seat was exactly the main reason why I did this, by the way, very complex conversion. I tested it now.

Heck, one of the recent updates is responsible for this problem. :-(
I haven't played the game since last summer due to lack of time.

I had so many hopes for this ship, unfortunately dashed the first time I used it. Default appears to be power save as I couldn't take off lol. When I used f to exit the cockpit I was standing on the top of the ship, It looks great, but it's more expensive and doesn't give the safe harvesting I was expecting. I'm hoping it's a glitch, but my search continues
