Thanks mate - watch this space =)
LoXyO  [author] 20 May, 2023 @ 3:16pm
@Zipzod no problem, do what you want with the changes, they're probably for the best, you're probably more experienced than me. :)
Zipzopdippidybopbop 20 May, 2023 @ 2:42pm
Hey bud,

I love this mod, but disagreed with some things; as such, I've removed some things and kept others (e.g. removed the siege boost, naval attrition restored, removed defender assault nerf, have increased upkeep for high professionalism etc.), - and I've also updated it to 1.5.

Considering you are not playing EU4 at present, could I upload it as a mod in its own right? I would include you in the credits of course!
LoXyO  [author] 22 Apr, 2023 @ 9:26am
@Arbe I don't know, I stopped playing EU4 so i probably won't update the mod anytime soon, as it is mostly define changes it shouldn't cause major issues, but if the update balanced some of the aspects i changed the mod will overwrite those values.
A.R.B.E. 22 Apr, 2023 @ 5:45am
Any need to update for the new patch ?
bigzthegreat 27 Feb, 2023 @ 9:13am
Insta-siege is annoying. Either you refill the garrison, thus losing all the drill you spent a few years training your troops for, (Which by the way is buffed in this mod.) you can do nothing and let the AI annoy you by insta-sieging your forts, (Making it so you either have to hope you can siege the AI faster then they can siege you or forcing you to unsiege your forts over and over.) or you can have a army behind your main armies with the sole purpose of refilling garrison, which requires a lot of micromanaging, wastes forcelimit, and defeats the whole purpose of making wars more combat based because of said micromanaging taking a lot of time (Wouldn't want your garrison army to die from enemy armies.).
bigzthegreat 26 Feb, 2023 @ 2:04am
I wish base manpower and army size didn't exist, swarms of small countries are so powerful in this game.
Gutter~Bunny~Vivian 4 Feb, 2023 @ 8:41am
These siege changes are so bad
LoXyO  [author] 26 Jan, 2023 @ 1:24pm
@EmeraldPhoenix, it is, by changing ideas modifiers and development modifiers, however it's a very delicate balance and i don't want to change that in this mod, it's not just you, i also feel the same way.
EmeraldPhoenix 26 Jan, 2023 @ 9:45am
I wonder if it's possible to lower the amount of troops everybody has, as well as lower the manpower gained from exploiting dev (maybe?)

Maybe it's only a problem for me, but it always seems like the AI can just keep pumping out troops after losing massive numbers of men in huge battles. The casualty numbers in even early game wars are kinda ridiculous as a result. I feel like losing a critical battle should cripple a country's war effort much more than it does, but I don't know how that would shake out in balancing.
LoXyO  [author] 21 Oct, 2022 @ 1:00pm
@Gnasty Because i think that siege are too long and make the gameplay slow, this is a preference.
Gnasty Gnome 20 Oct, 2022 @ 2:46pm
why nerf siege phase? defensive mechanics are already a joke in this game, but this is one of the biggest offenders possible.
LoXyO  [author] 17 Oct, 2022 @ 12:45am
@Maou Aleady reported multiple times, i don't care, i'm bad in english, the name doesn't change the content of the mod.
Maou 16 Oct, 2022 @ 9:32pm
reborn*
LoXyO  [author] 16 Oct, 2022 @ 9:11am
@Kaisar yeah it is really annoying and hopefully this makes it more balanced :)
Kaizar Luso (REX) 16 Oct, 2022 @ 8:30am
Me: *sees a lot of values of this mod that is fine* hmmm

Also Me: *sees "Reduced attrition at sea"* Fking subscribing!!!!
LoXyO  [author] 13 Oct, 2022 @ 6:19am
@Kürassiere, AI is just dumb in Paradox games, you can improve it to some extend, yet i have absolutely zero knowledge modding AI behaviors, i recommend you to check other mods, as i won't be able to improve AI in any way.
Kürassiere 12 Oct, 2022 @ 7:06pm
Overall still the AI needs to be improved, for example when the Ottomans were fighting both Austria and Prussia, it is 100% possible that the Ottomans took a detour to North Germany first.
The situation in France is similar and the game designers have not taken into account that the attrition of armies travelling long distances should be greatly enhanced)
LoXyO  [author] 10 Oct, 2022 @ 2:57pm
@Khaos Yes, it only changes defines and shouldn't cause the game to crash, but I will always recommend keeping a second save file of your campaign if something might cause problems.
Supermash 10 Oct, 2022 @ 2:17pm
does your mod work on Extended timeline or in an already started game ?
LoXyO  [author] 10 Oct, 2022 @ 12:53pm
@Khaos Manpower recovery speed is usually impactfull during a war or after it, this represents the time needed to replanish reserves, as you already loose a lot (depending on the losses) of army drill after a battle this is already too punishing, so i won't add that.
Supermash 10 Oct, 2022 @ 9:21am
this mod is very good and make professionalism meta good. to make even more realism i would add a man power recovery speed maluses at high professionalism (like 25% at max professionalism) and recrutement time maluses to represent the time to prepare a war.
LoXyO  [author] 10 Oct, 2022 @ 7:21am
@Kürassiere, i believe that 1000 for an artillery regiment takes into account light infantry guards, and all required men to man each gun, for France, in 1789, 11k men were needed to use about 1000 cannons, in Waterloo, france had arround 250 cannons, so arround 2.75k men, so yeah it's basically a lot less than in eu4, however this would complicate thing when it comes to evaluating ennemy strengh, a 30k stack would transform into a 20-24k one. Furthermore, it would change the whole supply balance. In my opinion, you need to see the artillery regiment in eu4 as a mix of infantry and artillery guys.
Kürassiere 9 Oct, 2022 @ 7:47pm
The biggest problem in my opinion is that a regiment of artillery shouldn't have 1000 men at all. It's both not historically accurate and makes the game seem ridiculous.
Raising the price of artillery by a factor of 5-10 and modifying the AI's need for artillery (perhaps just above the level of the walls) would be best.
LoXyO  [author] 8 Oct, 2022 @ 5:48am
@Samsid Since i doesn't change techs anymore yes it should, but just in case i recommend doing a backup
Samsid 8 Oct, 2022 @ 3:54am
Does it work on preexisting saves?
Kitty 7 Oct, 2022 @ 3:38am
awesome mod :OtakusFantasy2_love:
keep up the good work :)
LoXyO  [author] 29 Sep, 2022 @ 3:24pm
@Obscure I kinda agree, however it seems that the AI struggles to get high professionalism because it uses it to get manpower in war, which regulates its %. If i make it so it takes longer to raise it will only cripple the AI even more, it's really difficult to actually balance but I'll try to find something (can't promise anything though)
Obscure-Reference 29 Sep, 2022 @ 8:32am
Does it also take longer to raise professionalism? I feel like you should even by meta gaming only reach 100% in the 1600s. The AI might need some help, but otherwise the troop count and bureaucracy, technology necessary for professionalism to warrant boni like that could only come to effect actually in the 18th century, but for gameplay sake a bit early in the early 17th maybe.
Marchingsword 26 Sep, 2022 @ 10:47pm
This mod really encapsulates what a professional army should be at this time period. Harder to crack and hits harder. Great job, modder.
LoXyO  [author] 26 Sep, 2022 @ 2:05pm
@Dogscape Thank you !
Dogscape 26 Sep, 2022 @ 1:20pm
Great mod!
LoXyO  [author] 26 Sep, 2022 @ 4:26am
@Patryk Yes it is
Patryk 26 Sep, 2022 @ 3:53am
it is update for lion of the north ?
Gallóglaigh 25 Sep, 2022 @ 8:22am
Thanks for the update! :)
LoXyO  [author] 14 Sep, 2022 @ 8:43am
@Arbe I'll work on the update for 1.34 as soon as i get back home, which is in 2-3 days, so don't worry it'll get updated soon :)
A.R.B.E. 14 Sep, 2022 @ 8:41am
Will you update for 1.34? Can't wait to finally see the breakthrough modifier in the mix!
Yoko Taro >= GOD 10 Sep, 2022 @ 12:36am
I believe that there is no in-game modifier that effect supply in enemy province except mil tech. I think something like that has to be manually scripted and I has no idea how to script in EU4.
LoXyO  [author] 10 Sep, 2022 @ 12:31am
@Yoko Well thank you for the help, i'll try that myself, but it's bothering me if it's only your provinces and not in hostile ones aswell
Yoko Taro >= GOD 9 Sep, 2022 @ 9:27pm
Going over the modifier list I think the correct modifier would be "global_supply_limit_modifier" if you want the extra supply.
Tested it and it seem to work, but only to your province.
19Peej 8 Sep, 2022 @ 4:07am
Thank you!
Yoko Taro >= GOD 8 Sep, 2022 @ 3:28am
I won't be surprised if the [global_supplies_limit_modifier] modifier never work in the first place. I feel like 20% of modifiers never actually apply.
LoXyO  [author] 7 Sep, 2022 @ 10:35am
@Yoko Oh okay, thanks for pointing it out, i believe supply limit cannot be applied to dynamic modifiers then, i'll try to find a way arround it, and if it doesn't work i'll remove it
Yoko Taro >= GOD 7 Sep, 2022 @ 10:02am
The +25% supply limit doesn't seem to apply. Actually all mod that has +supply limit never seem to work for me, so I just want to make sure that it's working on your end.
LoXyO  [author] 7 Sep, 2022 @ 2:49am
@SnowBall I will release a lite version of the mod that doesn't change technologies and will be compatible with a lot more mods, I just need to take the time to do it
BlueDestinyPiss 6 Sep, 2022 @ 9:58pm
lmao
𝓢𝓷𝓸𝔀 ℬ𝓪𝓵𝓵 6 Sep, 2022 @ 6:51pm
hey do you mind making it compatible with https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2133078783

the roads dont work because they get unlocked via tech levels, then again even the basic road isnt working.

anyhow i imagine it would be an easy fix that i dont know of.

awesome mod however!
Chewy 6 Sep, 2022 @ 12:55pm
Yo @Nicanor you gonna cry and pee your pants?
LoXyO  [author] 6 Sep, 2022 @ 10:07am
@Nicanor Well i'm just a big dumbass in english, somebody pointed it out already but i'm just too lazy to change the name & icon
