im not sure if it was just my mod list but this didnt work for me even after playing with it all day and waiting half an hour to an hour for it to work.

@xormask UI Scale was my issue, I didn't realize min was at 125% for some strange reason. Sorry for the false alarm

@MadMax, it depends on how restrictive your criteria are. Less restrictive criteria should be generating multiple screenshots per minute (at least on my machine). Hours with nothing sounds like you're setting criteria that can't be found. Suggest trying with simple criteria as a sanity check to start.

Think you could give a time frame for how long finding seeds should take. like if I haven't gotten a single screenshot in an hour or 2 should rimworld just be closed out of? I know it'll vary depending on setting but some idea of when we should start getting screen shots would be helpful.

@xormask i'm on 1920x1080 res. UI scale 1. Pretty sure it doesn't matter, but I don't have Odyssey yet.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I will look into the various issues with landmarks and the faction issue changing randomization that time-is-money pointed out.

xormask - thx u i have tested it and it is good but due to recent changes in game it is no longer perfect. The issue i see is that map settings given in the mod to choose from are insufficient to replicate a seed once a landmark is chosen. Note that hitting a landmark changes map completly and its position on the map seems random and dependent not only on simple conditions like rain, temperature but also on factions choosen and order in which they were selected. I know this is difficult but perhaps a standard list of factions with option to add more and to change order within the menu (instead of faction in range option) would be the way to go as this is required to get same exact map with a landmark on. As an additional option perhaps you could add having a certain landmark to choose from while searching. Please continue your work ;)

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, however, under the "World Gen Parameters" the text for the "Landmarks" slider is totally unreadable and jumbled together, also, I believe it's the "Map Size" setting box is almost totally cutoff. Image provided on imgur.

- Follow up, changing the enemy factions does not affect the seed. You can still find your maps :)

Thanks for the work you put into this mod !!!. it would be great to have a search by Map features, landmarks, and Mixed biomes. i'm having trouble finding a landmark with mixed biomes.

Seems glitchy. Works like 1 out of 3 times for me. Either the mod window closes with a "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" when I click "Search" or an empty map is opened after I click "Search" and the loading screen shows "GeneratingMap".

Hi, thanks for this very useful mod. Can I make a request to improve it even more? I would like to be able to limit the location of the coast (north, south, east, west), as well as a "don't care" option for the biome type itself. Could this be done? (bonus points if you add the polluted option)
I want a map, I don't care about the biome, with a huge mountain with no caves to the north and a coast to the east/west, but finding maps with those patterns is very difficult, even more so when I set the stone types (out of 100, I only get 10, and I usually don't like any of them).

Unfortunately, unless it's really trivial I'm unlikely to add support for mods. What doesn't work with the regrowth mod currently? Just lack of sliders or is it totally broken?

Thank you for updating! Was really looking forward to it. Really there is no other mod close to that!

Any possibilty to add different faction settings and Regrowth map generation parameters (or even better ReGrowth: Expanded World Generation) ?

Updated to 1.5, sorry for the delay!

Please let me know if you see any bugs. I merged some QOL changes from github PRs as well. The biggest change is that the default world coverage is now 30%. I'm pretty sure most of the people who can't find the seeds don't realize the mod is searching 100% coverage worlds by default.

Few suggestions to add to the search filter, Pollution, Other than default factions and only 2 stone types would be greatly apreciated.

also a good feature would be a 2nd image with location of the location on the world map so you can see the surrounding area

Heads up: as of writing this, this mod requires the Royalty DLC and will otherwise fail to work due to referencing the Anima tree which doesn't exist without it. I compiled this mod from source wrapping all Anima references to check ModLister.RoyaltyInstalled and now it works fine.

I like it very much. It would also be great if you could filter by amount of ores on the map. For example, I need a map with lots of gold.

Could you add an option to choose where the coast is? I am looking for a beautiful mountain to the north and with a coast to the east (and other details), and out of 800 maps, only 76 matched (and I don't like any of them, I keep looking)

@saulmonela The mod was developed / used by me on linux, so it should work there. The most likely problem is a mod incompatibility (for you and others in this thread). I would recommend disabling all your mods, using seedfinder to find seeds, and then reenabling your gameplay mods after selecting your seed.

Yes that was the problem. I really appreciate your help. And thank you to xormask. This mod saves so much time in restarting just to find a decent map. Definitely one of the most essential mods for a new playthrough

A common reason for that would be the map coverage setting, which is 100% by default in the mod but 30% by default when generating a world.

I'm also not finding the maps on the world seed either. For example some of the coordinates for a boreal forest are in the ocean. I'm positive I'm typing the seed name correctly. This is such a great idea for a mod. Is anyone else having trouble finding the actual maps?

Any chance of adding an option to check for maps for a pre-determined amount of time instead of number of matching maps? That would be great for when you're searching for a map that might be REALLY rare. It won't just sit there searching forever and will automatically close.

Well I mean it is obviously a UI scaling thing. I can use it at 2.0x if I could comfortably read my screen at 2.0x when I already think 2.5 is too small...

So I have an issue where do to scaling the bottom is cut off and I have no means of selecting them.
