woah, cool! good to know. and as far as resetting cooking RNG, it's been so long i can't remember if those were linked, my main priority was mutations tho!

Still working as of 1.0 - I do wonder though, I know this resets the RNG for the mutation seed, does it reset the RNG for the cooking of a drop of nectar?

so this good for molting update?

(oh and you can see the full list of numbers and all changes in the changelog, it's fairly extensive)
CoiledLamb  [author] 9 Jul, 2023 @ 4:22pm
welp! it's here, after uh, seven months of me sitting on the changes? the original numbers on the mod felt a little much, with every merchant having at least one treat, and arch dervishes dropping a minimum of 3 treats guaranteed. so i lowered chances for all drops across the board. wanted to couple this with a couple other things but couldn't rlly find the energy to, so this is what it is! hope y'all enjoy

awh, glad to see the love :Emil:

Just came back to the comments to say this is now a staple mod for me and I am still loving it, feels completely at home in Qud and it's easy to forget it's not vanilla.

currently collecting every disease like it's pokemon on my way to godhood

Sounds great! And with how free-form this game is I imagine it can be quite tricky to find a good balance, already love the idea and look forward to the updates, thanks for sharing your mod.

yeah, i did a pass over them, i think they can definitely be pared down and it won't be too difficult to. i'll check my work in the morning, make sure everything is in order, and then try and start working on the small additions and QoL i want to add. (mostly pronoun stuff, some disease bugfixing, and tweaks to the pool depending on mutant or TK.) not sure how much will make it in but hopefully i can figure some of it out!
CoiledLamb  [author] 21 Dec, 2022 @ 3:35pm
@jayjblin yeah, that's fair! it was my first time messing with poptables so i overtuned it a bit. a few people have given feedback as well, so when i finally get around to nerfing those a little (lol), i'll make sure to add in some nice QoL so people aren't mad :Emil:

Love this little addition to the game, its a neat risk reward but I feel that the drop rate is a bit high, it feels like every single girsh enemy has some and I feel like this should be more of a rare drop rather than I ending up with 30 or 40 of them in a short time.

@lamb Thanks for the tip I'll keep it in mind! I've already got Carapace and Gelatinous Form (Poison) so this will make my character even better :D
CoiledLamb  [author] 29 Aug, 2022 @ 2:23pm
@tutterfunks i'm glad to hear! chitinous skin was always a favorite of mine, that AV is extra nice. if you want to add on to your tankiness, just don't cure your ironshank and find a way to boost your move speed! thanks for the kind words!!
TutterFunks 29 Aug, 2022 @ 8:53am
Thank you for the detailed replies and reiterating what your mod does, I had yet to test it myself so got confused by @befel001 's initial message.

I can now say I've played with it myself and it's certainly fun as I'm using a mutation from another mod called Chitinous Skin(?) which gives me more AV and Strength at the expense of becoming more prone to disease...
After Slog I am now a diseased ruin with 8+ Intelligence :D

This mod might become one of my must haves for any playthrough at this rate, good work!

Tested on newest branch with only nightmare treat enabled: Regeneration level 5 cures both onsets and full diseases, unfortunately. (tested with monochrome and sore throat).
@bfel001 it looks like any level before 5 won't cure diseases or onsets, but that's consistent with base game. I will try with level 5+ after just to verify there's no bugs though!
CoiledLamb  [author] 28 Aug, 2022 @ 2:12pm
also @TutterFunks the item works by either rolling a disease, a disease onset, or a stat variant on you, with a higher chance for an onset than anything else. as for why regeneration isn't working, it's actually not intentional on my end, but it does help balancing a bit :Emil: i'll try and check it out so i can figure out why that's happening!
CoiledLamb  [author] 28 Aug, 2022 @ 2:07pm
@bfel001 never tested with regeneration - i figured it would cure them automatically, but since it doesn't you're in luck! you can now contract ironshank despite your superhuman regenerative capabilities - you're welcome!
Cure spoilers - if this doesn't work I'll get to makinga fix on it To quickly cure your diseases, cook with watervine + starapple till you get the "Whenever you drink freshwater, there's a 25% chance..." and "...one of your negative status effects is removed at random." or soul curd till you get "...all of your negative status effects are removed." Then drink water. that should work!

@bfel001 , wait I thought this mod did something different from what you're describing... what does it do? xD
bfel001 28 Aug, 2022 @ 5:19am
I uh...was not expecting this to make regeneration not instacure those diseases :P
I suppose it's for balance purposes, but still a BIT miffed XD
