Warden plays an effect whenever switching stance, and besides being limited with abilities, there isn't any other distinct notification for stance changes.

@Soul I've been wondering about that, and I think that might be a valid improvement to the mod, I'll see if I can find a way to make it more clear and add it to my todo list.

Man,mod is nice,but an indicator for stances might be cool,I'm legit never sure how the stance work and what stance I'm in lmao,its legit hard to get

@TradeGy The Shard Gauntlets are from Psionic Melee and are allowed to be equipped in your secondary (like a melee weapon). I'll investigate the perk and see if I am able to fix the issue that prevents it from working properly.

@KnowAHHHHHHHHHH I don't get the damage increase or the shred, I can't say with certainty it's not a problem on my side but I don't think I have any mods for shard gauntlets.

@TradeGy The melee hit chance increase for Parting Strikes doesn't work (due to Shard Gauntlets having a base 100% hit chance), but the Damage Bonus and Shred should still work. I'll check out the ability at some point and get it fixed in a patch if there is an issue.

I just want to ask but the Parting Strike ability is supposed to work with shard gauntlets? Because in my current game I don't get any of the bonuses and it reads like it only works with swords and not the shard gauntlet.

@Kinsect I believe Psionic Melee manually adds it to melee classes (along with most classes getting it in their pistol slot) so I do not know if there is a way to change that. I do want to return swords to the Warden at some point, so likely Psionic Melee will just have to be replaced in the future.

Is there a way or config to block the Psionic melee gauntlets from being usable with other sword wielding classes (like the Jane Kelly class)
unless they are gifted or have some psi stats?

@Soul That might simply be a Secondary Gauntlet issue that there is infinite, since I do not think it was designed with compatibility for CI. I wish there wasn't issues with upgrading the gauntlet tiers, but that likely comes with Psionic Melee being old and not worked on anymore.

ForcePsiGauntletUpdate seem to have worked,tho it give her infinite numbers of it,kinda weird since I use Covert Infi but hey I guess its a workaround for now

So the warden not being able to equip higher tiers of gauntlet is intended? Cause yeah I can't,she only equip the first tier,but I can equip it on the templars fine

The Psi Jack was specifically designed to be a primary weapon, the Psionic Melee's gauntlets are designed to be a secondary weapon. Unfortunately it won't work.

Unfortunately, it wont work in general due to the fact that the Gauntlets the Warden uses are a secondary weapon and also double as a Psi Amp for their Psionic abilities. I don't know any way to make those properly work.

I am giving this class a try, but I wanted to use the expanded lightsaber mod by MostlyHarmless. I edited the .ini so that some of the sabers are classfied as swords and some are gaintlets because I dont want actual jedi, just the weapons.

Anyway, it works with other classes, but none of them work for the Warden. It looks like it is because the warden gauntlet is a secondary, not a primary like the templar ones. Would you have any suggestions on having them work together?

if anyone converted the lwotc mec troopers for wotc use, replace the [PlayableMECTroopers.UIChooseMec] in the xcomgamecore.ini on both the psionic mec trooper mod and the proficiency templar to [MECTroopersLWOTC.UIChooseMec]

I just looked at the Psionic Melee mod, and someone in the comments recommended putting "ForcePsiGauntletUpdate" if the next tier upgrade wasn't showing up. Hopefully this is another fix.

You should be able to purchase the Gauntlet upgrade after you research Predator and Warden Armor, if it doesn't update.

Secondly, you should try to upgrade your Psi Amps, I am unsure currently is Psionic Melee's Gauntlets upgrade with Gauntlet Tiers or Psi Amp Tiers.

I'm not entirely sure what the true error is, but when it is known, I can update Issues/Conflicts with it.

I can't change the gauntlet to magnetic tier, i'm playing with proficiency and covert infiltration. and i subscribed to all mods this class requires. I tried changing to psi amp but i can't use the upgraded 'replace_psiamp' gauntlet, i only can use the base gauntlet

Whenever I updated the mod I reduced the weight because of their power, if you want to control how many you can have without changing code, pick up shiremct's "Choose My Class" so you have more than 1 option during promotions.

At the current state I don't plan on adding a system similar to what KPP_COMMANDER has due to the fact I'd have to rewrite code for warden and it would lock out recruiting more from the GTS.

If you personally want to massively reduce how many you see, use AML's config editor, you can reduce the weight to 1 if you want to still gain them normally, or 0 if you want to gain them only from the GTS. (Change NumInDeck=2 to 1 or 0, NumInForcedDeck=1 makes sure you can train them in GTS and guarantees atleast 1 unit). You will want to edit the file labeled "XCOMClassData.ini"

(Fun fact, if you use the MOCX Proficiency mod, you can manually change them off 0 so you can recruit them normally)

Any way i could limit these to only 2 per campaign, im getting them showing constantly.
I found this - MAX_KPP_COMMANDER_ALLOWED = 1
in the commander class.
Was wondering if i could make a warden version of this, and if it would work.

The Warden starts in Offensive Stance which allows access to almost all abilities, and Defensive Stance is restricted to few abilities with more stat buffs and I believe you can't use your bullpup.

I have used base Warden for a while and my own mod that brings it into proficiency and I still don't entirely understand stance either. I'll probably provide a proper explanation on the mod page at a future time.

TLDR: If you have access to all your abilities you are in offensive, if you are limited you are in defensive

As said previously, I believe they are tied to the Psi Amps instead of Templar Gauntlets due to them being simply just psi-amps with less bonuses and having Rend, but since this has been reported twice, I'll attempt to check if this is just me not clarifying things or it actually can't be upgraded

I got around to building better shard gauntlets, but I'm not able to replace the currently equipped ones for some reason. and yes, I double-checked that they were the right ones I was supposed to build. when I try to swap out secondary weapons on a warden, it lists absolutely nothing available to equip, not even the base shard gauntlets they come equipped with.

The gauntlets in the secondary weapon slot are listed as "replace_psiamp" so if the gauntlets you are trying to replace them with don't have that tag, that is why you can't replace it.

Sorry, I have a mod that adds an extra Sidearm slot to most characters, so I can actually equip a bullpup, psiamp, AND some gauntlets. So if I'm not even supposed to actually do this, then I can't be surprised I can't equip better gauntlets in that slot.
Psionic sword sounds cooler, though.

I believe the rend damage for replace_psiamps should scale with Psi Amp Tier; I could be wrong though. I plan on eventually attempting to get an actual "psionic" sword so it can be more in-line with the original Warden though.

That's weird. Does that mean Rend will always do bad damage, or am I misunderstanding? I'm trying to slap some celestial gauntlets and a plasma bullpup on my Warden.

I don't believe you need it, if you have Mizruti's Perk Pack, but you might want to test that as I do not have a concrete answer.

Due to this mod using Psionic Melee (or replace_psiamps in the code), I believe they scale up with Psi Amps not Psionic Gauntlets like Templars. Those are locked under the Priest and Gatekeeper Autopsy.

Just a heads up that some of the lwotc ported back mods screws up the images of proficiency classes perks
