Small changes to Squaddie/Corporal perk setup:

  • "Warden's Advance" now provided at Squaddie
  • "Insight" now available at Corporal in the Flow Perk Tree
  • "Parting Strikes" moved to the Ebb Perk Tree

    These changes were made in order to allow Wardens to be able to use an attack in Defensive Stance, which normally isn't granted unless the user purchased "Warden's Advance" or ranked up to Tier 3 Proficiency.
Allowed the following perks to be used in Defensive Stance:
  • Barrier
  • Bulwark Strength

    These supportive defensive abilities can now be used on allies while Defensive Stance is active.
This update requires your class to be rebuilt due to an ability change, type "RebuildSelectedSoldiersClass" in console with Additional Soldier Console Commands in order to update your class.

  • Removed Psi Amps from Secondary Weapons - Due to an issue fixed last patch, no longer needed to switch weapons.

  • Minor fix to general coding mistakes that might prevent weapons from being equipped - Meant to include with last patch, but forgot.
This update fixed the issue that prevents Psi Gauntlets from being equipped normally, Psi Amps will be removed in the next update.

  • Minor change to "Warp Shield" Effects - Shield applied to the Warden now uses the same shield visuals as allies, removes visual clutter.

  • Minor edit to "Warp Shield" ability tag - Changed to be more in line with Templar Knight's Warp.

  • Fixed an issue that wouldn't show "Psionic Potential" in Crit Bonuses at Tier 3.

This should be one of the final updates for the class, it has finally reached a state that I am happy with. In the future there will be a few patches and maybe a small update to the Psionic Effects, but at the current moment, there will be no more major updates.

  • Implimented Ability Tags for Custom Abilities - Custom Abilities (not ported Warden Abilities) changed in XComKPPWardenSkills.ini will now reflect when viewing the abilities.
  • Updated descriptions for some Custom Abilities to include cooldowns.
  • Updated "Mass Stasis" description to reflect ingame tile range. - This is how it previously worked in game, if too weak, it will likely increase to previously intended value of 6 tiles.

  • Fixed a typo that allowed "Warp Shield" to have unlimited range - This has existed since the ability was made and I literally never noticed until now.

  • Refined Psionic Effects for the following Abilities:
  • Lockdown - Now has a new animation, looks more solid.
  • Warp Shield - Now has new FX for the landing animation and reworked shields for Allies and self.
  • Barrier - Now has new shields to applied Ally.

  • Added new preview pictures

Bastion Psionic Effects Update:

Implemented Psionic Effects for the custom Bastion Perks (Lockdown, Barrier, Bulwark Strength, Mass Stasis, and Warp Shield).

"Barrier" now takes a single action to use.
"Bulwark Strength" can now be removed from an ally with new "Release Connection" ability

Fixed a code issue that allowed random AWC perk generation. - How did I not notice this until now.

- The effects should come the next time I update this, but has been taking a bit longer due to working on an interesting project.

Psionic Rework:


Schism removed from AWC.
Solace moved to AWC from Major.

Psionic Tree renamed to Bastion.
Bastion now focuses on Defensive/Supportive abilities.

Added 5 custom abilities (Barrier, Bulwark Strength, Mass Stasis, and Warp Shield) that rework the Psionic Tree to be more Defensive.
"Piercing Strikes" custom passive now replaces Bloodlet at 3rd Proficiency Rank.
The custom abilities currently don't have any effects, but function completely as intended. - To be fixed in the next update.
