@iSc00t it actually did that in 1.3. But now thats a vanilla feature, you can pick style by selecting the blueprint, and theres a mod that lets you pick style at any time https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2880145066

@test Sorry, this was my fault. I for whatever reason thought this mod unlocked all of the different building styles (for all the building types). Sorry for the bother. >.<

@iSc00t idk I just tried with just ideology and this mod and it works. All it does is unlocks all ideology buildings in ideology tab and ideo-floors and floor coverings in floors tab

Has anyone gotten this to work for 1.4? Doesn't seem to do anything for me (Clean start with just this mod.)

@eighmy_lupin VE does have a unique random texture option so I will port the converting part to 1.4 at some point. for now there are two mods I know of that could make style selection better, https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2880145066 and https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2831135025

I know that technically vanilla let's us change style, but the Vanilla Expanded way is so much more superior.

@Rusty9 sorry for long wait, I found the issue, the 1.4 changed carpets to a new terrain color chooser template thing. I've updated the mod so those will be unlocked as well

@Rusty9 havent checked in a while but I think it should unlock floors. If not its probably one of the latest game updates, I will check when I can

Can you consider making the floors added with ideology styles (like hex carpet, morbid carpet) unlocked too?

The vanilla feature (unlocking styles through deactivating ideo thing from scenario selection) doesn't quite fully unlocks all in terms of floors (not handy, forces deactivating ideos)

Even with god mode on, there were some floors unable to build. Those floors showed up only when i picked related styles through ideo-tab or menus styles selection which shows up with ideo deactivated game.

@Sura oh I didn't even know it moved some objects. I have a suspicion this is because I move affected buildings into a separate document because there are so many textures, to process them much quicker, and then merge them back. Rimworld doesn't give any control over item ordering, so I can't fix that. But it definitely doesn't happen in 1.4 version because it only modifies locked ideology stuff and doesn't use separate documents either.

@test Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe its from some incompatibilities with VTE. One thing weird is that every other objects like vanilla chair or pot doesn't share the same issue. Only for the standing lamp i've found so far.
I understand 1.4 is coming and possible fix can be delayed. And its quite a petty graphical issue.

+ One more thing, sorry. Looks like when Styles Unleashed is loaded position of some vanilla objects like door, pillar and chair in architect tab is changed. I believe its because Styles Unleashed modifies those objects making changes in object order.
Would the position changes of some objects not be made in 1.4, since Styles Unleashed will only unlock ideology buildings?

@Sura VTE handles which texture is the default. Maybe if you switch the texture, it will switch the default texture as well? I never played with sequential selection, only random. Unfortunately I can't easily test it right now because I have 1.4 and no modlist.

Thanks for the mod. It's so necessary for building cool looking ideology floors. Just one minor issue in my game.

Not sure its related with VTE or this mod, i'm seeing the default texture of vanilla standing lamp is set to 'morbid' (currently playing with VTE and Styles Unleashed)
The reason why i assumed its related with Styles Unleashed is that those default texture issue was gone when Styles Unleashed is unloaded. I recall it was fine last time i played Rimworld (couple months ago)

I tried re-subscribing the mod, modifying mod options in XML Extensions and changing mod order, but it couldn't be fixed without unloading the mod.
Though its a minor issue, can there be a way fixing this?

Since it "automatically" converts ideology styles into texture variants, I'm assuming this does the same for styles added by mods?

@1000TinyLlamas if you go to settings>Vanilla Expanded Framework, there is an option to make variation selection sequential

Great mod!
Wondering if you have a solution for my frustration with Vanilla texture expanded, where changing the style picks a seemingly random alternative texture, sometimes picking the same texture that is currently being displayed
