really sad that this doesn't work anymore. whenever I place either the flak cannon or turret, they won't fire and have a range of 1 km, so, for me, this mod is basically useless.

Unfortunately after a weaponcore update, game says these weapons can't be placed....

Looks great and gives players greater selection of ordinance and response to missiles and unknown incoming. Plus it increases the Battle Star weapons selection which is a good thing on it's own. Thanks for this mate.

just as in vanilla game possible you can with the "flakturret".
But not with the fixed guns.
The fixed guns may good against incoming fighters/ships as they fly into the barrage they will get damaged.
So sadly the limitations of the game a random shot isnt possible or i havent found a possibility to do this....thats why the fixed gunfire is script controlled :-(

I may do a WC version in the future... had begun with one but it is harder than i thought....eats lots of time....sadly

@Chief_IKD no only for the Flakcannon nut yes the Gun and the Turret now is Vanillamodel because i have no time to build stuff with blender/custom Models

@gumshoe, im working on a new version with a new turret, but i have to test it with vanilla weapon system first before i can start with a WC version.
At the Time i do a lot of testing and playing around with simple values like explosion radius MaxTrajectory and DeviateShotAngle....
I may have to remove the Script in the Future because it will cause Sim Speed drops if many Guns firing.... in my actual not published version the fixed guns fire now real projectiles and explode at a range of ~400m so hits from the projectiles do damage, have a bullet tracer effect and the explosion wall is still available but without the "random explosion" script + a flak turret for higher ranges and decreased fire rate but with a lot more damage.

We will see when i get it ready....it costs me a lot of time...

@gumshoe unfortunately not, the mod has no "pdc" functionality against missiles and torpedos

sure that was the plan but unfortunately i got no permission to reuse the pdtmodel from a mod i was thinking about.
current status of the mod are my technical possibilities at the moment.
as i said may i will get better turrets/models in the future if i have more time to mess around with blender.

Well... If you watch the series more closely you'll notice that the flack wall was made by smaller guns, not main high caliber turrets, so maybe it's worth to add to the mod not only 120mm flack, but a 20mm flack too.
Anyway awesome mod ^^ It will be useful in a lot of ways :cozybethesda:

There are simply no custom textures for it.
The vanilla Icon for the heavycalibregun is used here and i simply took the original model fbx of the gun and shortened the barrel and converted it to mwm.
had no time so far to mess around with blender and paint.net/gimp....maybe in the future.
so the empty folder are just for preperation when i may get nicer models/textures in the future

yeah that sounds a bit much :-) 10 per side should be enough and smoothly playable,
i have 8 on each side on galactica, on valkyrie 10 and on perseus 9

yeah if you spam too much of them no wonder :-) i would say maximum 20 on one ship and put them in groups 10 each. no lag if 10 fires at the same time. how much did you build ?
