What exactly does heatstroke do? My friends' health bars were dropping rapidly when they were at 40°C.
Is death from heatstroke preventable if you get inside in a reasonable amount of time?
the fog thing is too much effort for me when my goal is MP lol but i'll be fine without it, thanks for letting me know how tho
dig around in there for the heatdome.lua and delete or edit the line 20 ImprovedFog.setBaseAlpha(0) . that should get you where you're going
there's every chance i'll be revisiting this mod and giving it a complete overhaul once build 42 is released, but it's unlikely i'll be spending any time in mp prior to that.
at the risk of going into a bit too much detail: if you download my mod and dig around in the heatdome\media\lua\client\heatdome.lua file, you could tweak those values (at the top of the file in the season function) to set a much lower minimum temperature and larger temp diff. fair warning though, i haven't tried doing so and have no idea how tightly those parameters would adhere to seasonal shift versus daily fluctuations. could still make for a fun — if rather weird — playthrough.
super hot during spring/summer
super cold during autumn/winter?
this would go well with the floor is lava challenge
