Intetesting, I'll have to reinstall the game and check this, putting that on my todo list.

VC Loyalty locked in at 1 and won't raise which makes offices impossible to fill. Also, only LL's can disband a unit, generic lords are stuck with whatever they recruit and can only make space through unit swap or casualty consolidations.

The footprint of the mod is so small, that any update to the game shouldn't break anything, so unless you experience something actually not working with the mod, then it'll be fine, even if flagged as out of date.. I don't play the game these days so I don't feel like downloading it just to upload the exact same files ^^

Any updates? The last one was from april last year and we have soon 4.1 - 4.2 ? so this needs to be updated.

That's awesome :D Thanks for the feedback ^^

Well after recruiting a new lord as the VCoast, and them raising dead and disbanding over 50 units in that one army in a single turn, I think I can safely say that whatever you did has fixed the issue. Much thanks Nez! :er_heart:

Thanks a bunch Nez, I'll try it out and see what happens and let you know.

I found some things in the data files that seemed relevant, some negative values that had to do with a few things linked to loyalty, a few had to do with defection chance or something, I added it in and set all negative values to 0, hopefully that should implement the changes.

I don't actively play the game, but I do feel a responsibility in updating the mod when needed, so my testing goes as far as checking that nothing broke, and the game boots up ^^

So please leave feedback if it did indeed work, or if it's still borked... If it is, then I'm not sure what I can change, but least then we know, until I may or may not figure it out, fingers crossed ^^

Been a while since I dug into the files, but when I have time I'll have a look around and see if anything stands out, I don't recall seeing anything referring to defection when I put the mod together, so to my knowledge, any defection based mechanics shouldn't be affected... But I could be completely off :P I'll have a look soon.

While using this mod, I've found that while the loyalty won't "lower" per se, if I repeatedly dismiss units from the army of a general as the Vampire Coast, there seems to be a chance that they will suddenly defect.

As the Vampire Coast as well, I've also found for lords for which "recruiting" has a chance to increase their loyalty, Raise Dead doesn't seem to be included in this. That's fine, most of the time, but combined with the other issue I mentioned, late game it becomes regularly necessary to recruit a new lord, transfer the troops, and then send the one I don't want anymore off to die somewhere. Which, while somewhat amusing, is frustrating to deal with.

Perhaps looking at whatever controls loss of loyalty/defection related to dismissing troops may solve the issue?

existing factions @kiro72727

Does this mod improve the system for existing factions (Skaven, dark elves and vampire pirates) or introduce this system for all races?

Nothing major has changed and no edits needed to be made, but I updated the mod just so it doesn't get flagged as "old" ^^ Everything should still be working.

Update to 3.0?

Nice, I guess it somewhat nailed the settings in the first go then ^^ Cheers for the feedback :) I do intend to keep the mod alive so should anything break (which I doubt), let me know ^^

i can say it works well in in medium length games (i have yet to get further than 200 turns on anything other than Beastmen,) playing as dark elves, i've played as skaven using it as well and it works rather nicely, i have yet to test it in Multiplayer but some friends of mine are considering possibly doing a Skaven playthrough with me at some point so i'll see how it goes when that happens, in terms of balancing i think it is quite balanced, it's not too sudden but it's not too slow either, it feels natural, as if it was a vanilla feature rather than a modded addition
Nez  [author] 23 Nov, 2022 @ 11:53am
I feel it's better than the alternative, which is straight up removing loyalty, I'm happy to hear that you enjoy it, how balanced do you feel it is during a longer (and maybe multiple) games?

this mod is great :D and thanks for keeping an eye on it, this mod makes loyalty factions so much more fun
Nez  [author] 23 Nov, 2022 @ 1:52am
No changes needed, but did update it in the mod manager in case it claims there's a version mismatch ^^

Loyalty should not drop with this mod. Ever.
sirkudjon 11 Sep, 2022 @ 12:56pm
Is this mod probide something like Loyal to the End after certain level cause I get tired of my lvl 30 lord revolt because reasons.
Hatami 8 Sep, 2022 @ 2:40am
Thank you for the answer and your help :D
Nez  [author] 8 Sep, 2022 @ 2:06am
Yes, the mod is save game compatible, and the changes are reflected in the game upon load, even the starting loyalty of the lords in the lord recruitment pool will be adjusted, however, any currently recruited lord will keep their loyalty level, but work with the new system.

Does this work on ongoing campaigns ? or do i need to start a new one
