Juggernaut Cav like Skullcrushers seem a little OP with 70 Speed, maybe 66? so that Chaos Knights have some advantage?

I don't want to change Cold One speed, as I believe their slowness is balanced around their power. Also, one of the main things that sets Horned Ones above Cold Ones is their enhance speed, and I don't want to lose that difference.

Mechanical Steeds are a bit of a tricky one, they are currently slower than the armoured warhorse option but IMO should be slightly higher as they are described as being capable of near perfect movement.

It should work with anything that doesn't modify the same values in the battle_entities table. That said, it won't affect modded units that use unique entities (but it shouldn't break anything).

Yeah. Bretonnian warhorses had an equivalent rule btw, but theirs didn't give them strider.

That's interesting. I would consider making them all (meaning Black Knights, Black Knights w/ Barding, and Wight King on Skeletal Steed) 78 speed in that case. Does that sound reasonable?

In the VC army book, skeletal steeds have a special rule which makes them move the same speed regardless of barding. Not exactly a big deal, but it would be a nice little detail to add. Cheers for the mod.

Mod updated! Juggernauts (mount for Skullcrushers/Bloodcrushers) speed increased from 62 to 66 (same as Cold Ones). Thanks to Pious Skeleton for the suggestion.

You make a good argument. I didn't realize they were slower than Pox Riders. Increasing their speed to match Cold One riders would only be +4 speed, but it would put them just over Pox Riders, which does feel right. I will implement this change for the next version tomorrow. Thanks for the thoughtful feedback.

@Dux They're slower than Nurgle's Pox Riders, the slowest cav in the game in fact. In tabletop they had the same speed Cold One Knights but fair enough. It's your mod. I just hope CA adjusts it at some point.

Nope. These units are relatively slow for cavalry, but they pack an insane punch. I think they're balanced as-is.

The mod you mentioned also alters the battle_entities table, so in areas where our edits could overlap (e.g., missile cav units), this would explain the incompatibility. It would be possible to combine both together, but this would require a submod.

Nothing has changed really, but the mod has been tested for compatibility with 4.0. Also added a fix for Imrik's steed being slower than the rest; he gets 84 speed on horseback just like all of his elf friends (thanks for the report, @Indie Benninging)

A very nice mod, looking forward to combining this with your elite cavalry mod! One thing I noticed is that Imrik still has the old speed of 78 on his horse (I believe that is also the case in the standard game, so a slight oversight by CA) Would it be possible to amend this too?

Mod (finally) updated for 3.1! Bretonnian cavalry speed returned to 80 as standard, high elf changes removed, and CA's mass changes brought into the mod. Check the change notes page for a full list of changes.

Might be mistaken but I believe Grail Knights did have a lot less armour hence the difference which has now been updated.

In 3.1, CA decided to use the same 84 speed value for High Elf cavalry in vanilla, so these changes will soon be removed from this mod. They gave Bretonnia the same speed, however, which I personally disagree with. 80 will still be the standard for Bretonnia in the next update, but I will be bringing Grail Guardians up to 80 as well to reflect the fact that CA now has them moving at the same speed as Grail Knights (and this was always a bit of an odd difference, anyway).

Mod updated for 3.0! Not much has changed, but there were a couple of things:

- Fix for Unicorn mount entities has been incorporated into the base game by CA, so that's been removed from this mod.
- CA removed Mark of Nurgle's negative effect on speed, so this mod now only reduces Nurgle lord mounts to 70 (previously 65) to match the new standard.

Chorf Hobgobling wolf cav is currently set to 92 in vanilla, which matches Greenskin wolf cav, which was never modified by this mod. I don't intend to change it.

CA has updated the speed of Bretonnian cavalry to match Empire cavalry for the most part in 2.2, but I still think this balance is off. Bretonnian cavalry should be faster than Empire cavalry. This mod remains unchanged but is fine to work in 2.2.

Good catch. This mod doesn't actually touch any values for Chaos cavalry (or hero mounts), so this discrepancy exists in vanilla as well. Whether or not it's good balance is another question, but I am inclined to agree with you that it seems off. For the next update, I will probably bring these values down so they match the main units, with an exception for Archaon who is especially fast by design.
