I think a unit of hedge knights would fit as a more lore friendly version of knight on foot.
Reason, a hedge knight cant effort to loose his horse in a charge.
And they could have a refers version of the hobgoblin chorf ability. So if hedge knights are close to peasents they'll stick to the battle ones mounted units are near they lose the bonus for a increased speed and lose of moral, representing them saying "you guy can take it from here"

@indeed, mob units have better stats) Looks cool but it should be at the same lvl as squire or a lit bit higher. By the way if you want core front line for bretonnia, use Lyly's Unmounted knights. amazing units and fit the roster well

It's an art of war in Arabia and Egypt called "Focused Limb Thrusts". You use the polearm to swipe ahead or thrust like a spear with the tip. The big move is when you fix the shaft atop the shield and use your thigh to hit the shield base to give momentum to level the shaft higher then you bash your enemy for staggering only to find themselves struck with the blade of the polearm and the Knight is called "Tabbardayya Fittwa" or in original Arabic "Kasih"!

Just an fyi I know this is just a game, but the men at arms unit is functionally impossible because polearms are a two handed weapon

Great mod, also i've been wondering if you know what could cause a glitch in the armor texture not appearing, helmet, hands, weapons and feets are fine but the armor is pure air :'(

Odd request, but is there any chance we can get a version that is A) just Lost Sons, B) Without the Men-At-Arms, or C) Has a compatibility with Lily's Overhaul that includes the Peasants Duty trait? I am keeping this mod, cuz Lost Sons, and I think the Serjeant idea is cool, but the fact the Maa sticks out with the modifications from Lily's is bugging me, lol.

Small and prolly not worht your time, but figure I'd ask.

I was just curious: how did you decide on using the word "Serjeant" for your concept of middle class soldiery?

Seems like the etymology of serjeant is that it originated as just another word for valet or house servant. So armed servants is what it would probably mean--which makes sense, I suppose. I imagine Bretonnian nobles would probably prefer it if there were a type of more professional, less grubby men at arms for protecting stuff like their personal holdings, family, etc. and not necessarily have to be someone who was eventually going to be knighted themselves.

So the reason why the peasants aren't truly effecting the peasant economy capacity isn't because you've done anything wrong with the data, you needed to add them to the list of units in the peasant economy script. However, doing so will likely make it incompatible with other mods that effect the peasant economy script such as my own. It is definitely worth doing though! :luv:

The Men-at-Arms and Mounted Yeoman don't seem to be counting against the peasantry count. Maybe it's a display bug, or just me.

Only the Men-at-Arms and th Mounted Yeoman should be peasantry. The rest are Knights or members of the middle classes.

They’re meant to be worse than Foot Squires in most matters except armour.

Hey, the Searjent Greatsword variant.... could we bump that MA to like 28 to be at least better than foot squire in MA instead of worse in Both MD and MA? at least based on the screenshot I can see on this page.
