Is anyone experiencing that the AI is all mighty and so powerful around difficulty hard and very hard?
It would had been cool to add India from Alexander the Great DLC at least making them start with 2-3 regions.
It lacks factions.
A little list:
-India (starting in northern India and having to conquer their way south)
--Vascones (Tributary stae of WRE like in real life)
-Mahoza (Persian-Jewish city state, either a vassal or at war)
-Free city of Sparta (you know, the touristic Sparta the Romans loved so much? yes it was a free city, so an ally of the ERE)
-Hephtalites, *unlike their name, they were Scythian people and not hunnic)
-Bosphoran/Bosporan Kingdom, (the last independant Greek state, a vassal of ERE)

growth should be reduced, you spend more time worrying about that than paying attention to the rest of the game
Aristoxenus 6 Nov, 2024 @ 3:37pm
It says something about britannia inferior crash, when after clicking "start campaign"
Texian45 8 Oct, 2024 @ 11:21am
man i was hoping to take the huns to mid india :/
Lyrecryer  [author] 7 Aug, 2024 @ 8:07am
@S1NGHA I'm not sure how it's not showing up for you as it is for me?
S1NGHA 6 Aug, 2024 @ 11:29am
So are the ERE and WRE not playable in this mod? They are not on the list of playable factions. I checked the box in their UI and even went as far as to mod the descr file.
Aristoxenus 22 Jun, 2024 @ 7:10pm
Could some units or factions be added? I can help for the information research
jam.izm 23 Mar, 2024 @ 1:20pm
add factions more
Aristoxenus 27 Jan, 2024 @ 2:05pm
I agree with @Carthago Delenda Est, and il add to maybe add the Vascones as they were active in the late Roman Empire. To make them start as a Tributary state with limited but strong units, have you heard about the Cohort II Vasconum? Or the fact that Mercenary Balearic Slingers were still used in the 5th century?
(Yes, I know a lot about Hispanian History during the Roman times, I could help you)
Aristoxenus 27 Jan, 2024 @ 2:01pm
Wow, seems a lifetime campaign, haha.
Carthago Delenda Est 6 Mar, 2023 @ 12:46pm
Will you be adding new factions like Axum, an indian faction, or the White Huns? the map is so expansive and detailed that it would add a great deal to your already very good mod.
qgmo2009 8 Feb, 2023 @ 4:49pm
it gets hillarious, the two romes become crazy since they have so many cities and the ai spams thousands of units. i once saw about 10 full stacks besieging one sasanid town. if youre someone who wants to have 20 to 30 battles per turn late campaign, this is the mod.
Olive Malteser 27 Jan, 2023 @ 8:41am
Are you able to change the distance to capital modifier 40% unrest from Denmark to Scotland is a bit much
Riekopo 10 Jan, 2023 @ 4:46pm
Is there anyone who can update the Mundus Magnus map mod and also port it to Barbarian Invasion? Really like this map mod but it's a bit too big for my free time.
Tom 9 Jan, 2023 @ 7:04pm
This map is awesome well done Lyrecryer take me a long time too build up a faction any plans for some more factions in the east ?
Lyrecryer  [author] 15 Dec, 2022 @ 10:23am
Nope. it's a lot larger then Mundus Magnus.
Riekopo 15 Dec, 2022 @ 7:43am
Lyrecryer is this Imperator Mundi map the same as the Mundus Magnus map?
Frost 13 Dec, 2022 @ 4:01pm
@johnwhitesell I agree it'd be nice to get more factions, particularly in the east. However, after playing a few turns as the ERE it seems hard to get steamrolled. The economy for the Eastern Romans is great from the jump (might be too overpowered), and you don't have many religion issues surprisingly. The main issue I see from the Sassanids is retraining/recruiting troops enough troops to fight them. It will probably be repetitive fighting off large army after large army.
Lyrecryer  [author] 13 Dec, 2022 @ 10:48am
yes
Riekopo 13 Dec, 2022 @ 4:01am
So this is the vanilla Barbarian Invasion with a new map?
AacornSoup 12 Dec, 2022 @ 10:45am
With the Sassanids as the only playable faction in the eastern half of the map, there's nothing preventing them from expanding east and then steamrolling the Byzantine Empire. I'd like to see the Hephthalites added to Central Asia, and the Gupta Empire and Chola Kingdom added to the Indian subcontinent, as a counterbalance to Sassanid expansion.
Ragnar 25 Nov, 2022 @ 5:03am
any news?
Lyrecryer  [author] 5 Nov, 2022 @ 6:10am
@Moïra Kadhan Now fixed! Sorry for the long wait. was busy working on other projects.
jgoodman53stj 26 Oct, 2022 @ 9:49am
Can I make a humble suggestion?
Add multiple Hunnic Hoardes, multiple Vandal Hoardes, multiple Visigoth Hoardes, and an emergent Gassanids.

That would really make this one shine.
Red Moira 16 Oct, 2022 @ 10:33am
Sughdian warriors aren't recruitable for the sassanids anymore, as they depended on a settlement ressource that hasn't been added to this mod.
Lyrecryer  [author] 10 Oct, 2022 @ 10:43am
@wkalbe it's both.
wkalbe 10 Oct, 2022 @ 9:57am
Is this a stand alone mod or a base for other mods?
LEGION 10 Oct, 2022 @ 2:02am
Probably best RTW base map ever seen. Could be used for a late antiquity campaign, for example the last Roman-Persian war that bled both empires and made them vulnerable to the following arab expansion. It would be nice to see more factions on the outer reaches of the map, such as Slavs, Axumites, Indians, Arabs.
swrigh35 5 Oct, 2022 @ 8:44pm
This mod is EXCELLENT! Looking forward to playing with Indian factions as well (I hope).
Tav 4 Oct, 2022 @ 6:01pm
'I will be making a clone of this mod with my own stuff added into it.'
Looking forward to it. I think all we're asking for is more factions, perhaps it's as simple as porting over Indian units from Alexander total war etc.
Allen 29 Sep, 2022 @ 10:34am
@crazyroman I agree with the mod author, I noticed that when playing as a smaller nation, I almost always had to rely on the three major factions being at war with each other to even attempt to fight them.
Lyrecryer  [author] 29 Sep, 2022 @ 7:59am
@crazyroman They have over 100 regions under their control and they can train a lot of troops per turn. I found myself being overwhelmed under a sea of troops when I left them alone.
Veni Vidi Vici 28 Sep, 2022 @ 11:57pm
How overpowered are the ERE/WRE and the Sassanid Empire, in the map? Thank you and good job.
Ragnar 20 Sep, 2022 @ 12:22pm
Great mod i waintig for more 10/10
Allen 16 Sep, 2022 @ 8:46am
~Continued~ I did a minor game as the Berbers and attempted to consolidate the western areas of north Africa to Carthage. While I was doing this, I also noticed little things which were just great, such as the Sassanids also subtly expanding deeper into India while fighting the Romans, & the Celts in the British Isles beating back the Roman presence there. Overall, if this was all we got, I am totally satisfied and eternally grateful.
Allen 16 Sep, 2022 @ 8:46am
While I agree with some of the other comments pertaining to how the mod could be spiced up a little bit, I just have to say WOW. I was already taken back when the first form of this mod came out and now this? Talk about breathing so much more life into Barbarian Invasion! After testing some spectator games, the way the AI behaves is great and seems realistic. Never did I ever expect to see such huge empires going at it back when I first played RTW & M2TW. The way in which the ERE & the Sassanids immediately start going at it is just an awesome spectacle, in addition to watching the WRE try to resist all of the internal conflicts and barbarians/ nomads at its doorstep was also amazing.
etiwanda18196 15 Sep, 2022 @ 9:46am
@Lyrecryer Thanks man this is really cool. If you are gonna add some additional content i do have some suggestions.

More Factions (copy Rome Attila lol)
Factions such as Saxons and ect can form hordes
More playable factions
More unstable Roman Empires
Less developed Roman Empires
Historical Western Roman Empire Rebels events such as the rebellion in Gaul during 406 AD
Maybe move the timeline up to 395
Less revenue across every faction
Non Roman rebel factions can build more units, city upgrades, attack other cities, ect
Historical adoptable characters

Thanks again, I understand how difficult modding is and good luck on your project.
jam.izm 15 Sep, 2022 @ 4:42am
Can u add new factions? In RTWR it is possible? Or you can not?
Lyrecryer  [author] 12 Sep, 2022 @ 4:23am
@Athaeus The name is intentional ;)
Athaeus 11 Sep, 2022 @ 10:22am
The world's barbarian (singular). Ah yes. Gotta love Rome-themed mod names LOL! That said, it's a neat map!
ὝπατοςτῶνΦιλοσό 9 Sep, 2022 @ 1:19pm
Ah! Beat me too it! Looks awesome, can't wait to try
fisto the robo 5 Sep, 2022 @ 2:45pm

Lyrecryer  [author] 5 Sep, 2022 @ 1:42am
I will be making a clone of this mod with my own stuff added into it. This was designed for peeps who wanted to play this map mod with BI.
Sergio 4 Sep, 2022 @ 6:56pm
Thank you very much for adding the Spanish translation... the mod is excellent, do you have plans to add more things in the next updates?

PS: my english is very bad
Lyrecryer  [author] 4 Sep, 2022 @ 1:42pm
You will need to add your own factions for that. This is a simple port using the vanilla factions.
Mister Fantastic 4 Sep, 2022 @ 8:49am
Indian, Ethiopian and other factions?
Lyrecryer  [author] 4 Sep, 2022 @ 7:28am
Done!
Sergio 4 Sep, 2022 @ 4:19am
