Ohhh I'll download this as soon as it's compatible with 1.4. Do you have any plans to update?

@narlindir correct , it passively spawns corpses just for pawns to go and fetch.
Narlindir 17 Sep, 2022 @ 5:38am
are the mods that add snare type traps that catch and or kill small game for pawns to fetch?
Narlindir 17 Sep, 2022 @ 4:37am
so this is just a passive food trickle, correct?

Reduced wood cost to 25 for trap, increased build exclusion radius to 20 tiles, reduced spawn chance to 4% and 3% for the trap and cage respectively, this can still be user-configurable in mod settings menu.

Remember also that the construction quality of the trap and extreme map temperatures can change the final chance too.

( Awful = chance / 2, poor = chance / 1.5, excellent = chance * 1.2, masterwork = chance * 1.5, legendary = chance *2.0) (temperature over 40 or under -8 (celsius ) = chance / 2)

great idea for a mod! it seems a bit unbalanced tho, I'll subscribe for future runs when it gets updated

Posted a thread up in Discussions since my overly wordy comment was too big for this comment field.

My thoughts...
If DESTROYED per CATCH, 15 wood (is it rebuilt under REARM or BUILD?)
Or keep current amount, but have it decay over time like fish traps and require a repair... lose 3% per day and 20% per CATCH?

Either way, I like it. I'm playing a COLD biome that gens few animals...so I have a HUNTING outpost, and I also haul back big game from any EVENT map, it's a fun challenge...but I could see advantage of a few of these traps, especially with "hot meals" and "variety matters" constantly depressing my colonists, heh.

@Large Moron fair point. Seeing as I set destroyed as default "on" I should probably lower that a bit.

60 wood is a bit much, isn't it? That's more than a single bed, more than a regular spike trap. Especially since they are fully destroyed each time they catch an animal by default. 60 wood isn't worth 12 rat meat.
