@opuntia As far as I can tell, Ahn-Zelezy is still working.

If anybody is having trouble, I would recommend disabling other mods to see if you're running into a conflict. And if that's not the case, then comment with a description of the problem you're you're running into.

After some testing, i believe this mod now CTD's on start up after patch 5.2.0!

The best hero, works with an infantry captain equipped with mortars behind. top for atritp battles with artillery support. placing a wizard from the sky to weaken the enemy's lines and with at least two or three healing bastiodons without engaging in combat with the bastiodons keep them safe

Outstanding character. He looks geared up for sustained offensive and counter-offensive operations, with all the buffs to damage, durability, and movement he gets and gives out. One can outfit him as a cheapskate crapstack army of javelin skink cohort, or as a more high-class heavy infantry legion, ideal for sieging and grinding down the enemy in melee. Hand him some artillery, a wizard and a few fast-movers for flanking and he is golden. Looking forward to this mod being updated.

hey love the mod but on my most recent campaign i have run into a issue that after getting his skills related to skink javelins if i mouse over the unit card in his army then my game crashes

ADD to previous comment: just tried a game with only this mod running, can confirm that this guy doesn't have a WoM bar, and using the console to add winds of magic to him has no effect.

Just wanted to add a little bug report: In Kroq-Gar's faction, this guy doesn't benefit from the 15% upkeep reduction like the other Old Blood lords. Just a little thing, but it has an impact.

Hope you keep updating this mod, because it's become one of my absolute favorites heh

Hey man, love this character and plan on keeping this mod installed like, forever; I almost always hire an Old-Blood and fill his army with javelin skinks and saurus for a cheap secondary force, and this guy is absolutely perfect for that role (and the model is gorgeous). Love the way he plays, rushing the enemy and enveloping them with aggressive infantry, while melting monsters with poisoned javelins.

I like that he's such a powerful foot lord, but are there any plans to give him some kind of mount option? A carnosaur might be too same-y with Kroq-Gar, but perhaps at least Horned One just to give him some variety on the battlefield would be cool (great for hunting down faster monsters etc.). Either way, great mod and thank you for sharing. Very well designed character and fun to play.

There might be a conflict with the Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords mod. I had Ahn-Zelezy in my pool, took on the Legendary Lord of a defeated faction and when I was ready to raise a second army he was gone. I guess you gotta recruit him at the start before Recruit Defeated Legendary Lords kicks in.

@Darkwolf So, questions. Is this in a new game, or were you adding the mod into an existing save? Because if it's the later, that's my mistake. The script I'm using only adds Ahn-Zelezy to the recruitment pool at the start of a new game, so adding the mod into an existing save won't work. I'm going to add a note regarding that to the description.

If it WAS a new game, then I'm not really sure what the problem might be. My best guess would be a conflict with another mod, but I don't know of any offhand that would cause that. I would recommend turning all other mods off and then slowly adding them back until you find the one causing the issue.

Neat little balancing Factor.

"Catch them!" toggleable ability drains vigor even of saurus and skinks with perfect vigor. Dont know if its intended, but im ok with it either remaining or being patched. Great hero, works great in early-game with his heavy saurus and skink spec

@Fenrir4life You know, after spending way too many hours playing this game, I somehow never noticed that tooltip. I'll have to investigate more to see how that cap works and what it effects.

@Gambler He currently doesn't give a defeat trait as there is no way to get it. The only way Ahn-Zelezy gets into the game currently is by spawning into the player's recruit pool for whatever lizardmen faction they play on turn 1. So there's not really any circumstance you could beat him and get it. If I get around to expanding this into a separate faction, I'll give him one then.

@Ginger So currently, Ahn-Zelezy doesn't have his own faction, he is able to be recruited by the base game lizardmen factions. However, I also made him recruitable by the Tlaxtlan and Xlanhuapec NPC factions because if you use Mixu's Unlocker and Lord Pack, those two factions become proper factions with their own lords and faction traits and whatnot.

just to clarify for my very intoxicated self, This is a legendary lord that can be recruited by lizardmen? However if you use mixus hes playable? If so how does he play compared to just playing a vanilla faction?

I'm admittedly going from the tooltips in the game re: campaign movement, which state it rather authoritatively... but may certainly be misleading or simply downright wrong.

@Fenrir4life Also, are you sure about the movement cap? I just did a test where I made note of how far he could move with his trait+route marcher+his stance at which point he should have been more than maxed out (155%). And then I added run them down and switched to forced march, after which he could move significantly further than before.

That said, making the range bonus from the stance a bit smaller and the fatigue penalty a bit less isn't necessary a bad idea regardless.

@Fenrir4life So I don't intend to make any balance changes for the next few days at least, give anyone who might have thoughts a chance to chime in. As it stands, I'm probably going to axe level 2 of both Monster Hunter and Continue the hunt, at least until I can figure out something else to do with them. I might end up reworking the later completely, we'll see.

Regarding adding BvL to ranged attacks, I couldn't find a way to apply it that allowed you to limit it to a single unit. When you want to do that rather than just applying it to everything, you have to go through different database pages that don't give you the same options that applying broader bonuses do. I'm sure it's possible, but I would need to figure out how. A similar problem is why I had to make the dodge passive, rather than just adding block chance.

For the rest of his factionwide stuff, I'll likely end up just restricting it to his army instead.

A note on campaign movement: nothing can bring it to more than 150% baseline, so he actually overcaps in his stance even without something like a Skink Oracle, ancillary, or trait boosting his range. Maybe cut the bonus to 30% and the fatigue to Winded?
