You may have other mods that edit the same table. Or this mod is just drastically outdated with all the new game updates in the past 2 years.
Finlay 19 Oct, 2024 @ 9:35pm
can you PLEASE make a mod similar that doesnt affect unit models ? itrs anoying having rebels ally with chaos beastmens so stupid.
Finlay 19 Oct, 2024 @ 9:28pm
this affects unit models btw, disappearing chaos warrior limbs etc. dont download. sad
Vurcingetorix 15 Sep, 2024 @ 10:13pm
Thank you, thumbs up and award sent! (A separate mod where 3 way ffa battles can happen ect would be sick!)
AwDiddums 25 Aug, 2024 @ 3:57pm
I've spent days trying to figure out which graphical mod was deleting the textures from the shield and spear of High Elf Silverin Guard and... it was this one.

I'd recommend emboldening the compatibility issue at the beginning of the description. It's not immediately clear that a mod like this would affect unit models. It's a great mod... it's just disappointing about the faction colour table.

One of those hidden gems that you stumble on accidentally.
VanDerHuuy 3 May, 2024 @ 12:59pm
Thanks for the mod. I've already encountered strange alliances in battle several times, like dwarves with Skaven or Orcs.

Bug: Patch 5.0 Karl Franz Campaign, new electoral machinations is incorrectly showing as Gelt's colleges of magic, otherwise fine
Guts 15 Oct, 2023 @ 6:46am

HoGu 20 Jun, 2023 @ 7:39am

fartsballs 17 Apr, 2023 @ 6:03pm
please update when you can!
Flying Fox  [author] 4 Mar, 2023 @ 3:03pm
Not sure about the campaign map, but definitely the faction specific colors of the units in battle.
Obelus 4 Mar, 2023 @ 2:59pm
Gotcha so you just mean if a mod changed that faction's literal colors on the campaign map?
Flying Fox  [author] 4 Mar, 2023 @ 4:13am
I haven't touched this game in months, so I don't know if an update is required.
Reskins, faction traits and banners shouldn't be a problem. Mods that change faction colors are a problem.

If you use Prop Joe's mod manager, you can check for compatibility problems between mods.
Obelus 4 Mar, 2023 @ 12:22am
Also I don't know much about modding so when you anything that changes the "factions table" what sort of things does that include? Reskins, changes to the faction's banner, changes to the faction traits, etc? Because I'm using a lot of mods that changes all of the above.
Obelus 2 Mar, 2023 @ 2:50pm
Does this need an update?
Candyman 10 Oct, 2022 @ 8:14am
Imagine if we could have FFA in campaign would be funny af
Flying Fox  [author] 2 Oct, 2022 @ 2:24am
It's compatible with Mixu's legendary lords, which is as far as I know the only mod that uses new factions from Mixer. So, yes, they are compatible.
Jabel 1 Oct, 2022 @ 9:08pm
Is this compatible with Mixu's Unlocker? The mod manager finds a table conflict.
Zero 26 Sep, 2022 @ 8:35pm
Ya just going to have to deal with it. Thanks
Flying Fox  [author] 26 Sep, 2022 @ 2:15pm
Odd. In that case, adding a '!' in front of my table should give it priority.
But you don't want to do that anyway, because then you overwrite Radious's changes. I don't know what those are, but they might be important.
Zero 26 Sep, 2022 @ 1:39pm
If this is correct, data_ui

Flying Fox  [author] 24 Sep, 2022 @ 11:22am
Just open all four of them and look at the factions tables.
Zero 24 Sep, 2022 @ 11:05am
Well Radious has 4 parts so not sure where to even look :|
Flying Fox  [author] 24 Sep, 2022 @ 2:09am
@Zero
That's odd, it should definitely work. What's the table called in Radious?
Zero 23 Sep, 2022 @ 5:30pm
Ya that is what I wanted to do, have yours override, but it didn't work :|
Flying Fox  [author] 23 Sep, 2022 @ 1:50pm
Small update, noticed a couple of mistakes in my tables.
Flying Fox  [author] 23 Sep, 2022 @ 1:59am
@Zero
If Radious makes changes to the factions table, simply adding a ! in front of my table name will only serve to overwrite Radious's changes, which isn't what you'd want. It would require a separate patch mod.
As for multiplayer, I don't have a clue what is required.

@Jabel
Yes, that would work just fine.
Zero 22 Sep, 2022 @ 11:08pm
Nevermind... I just got attacked by a Dark Elf and 4 skaven armies joined him in the attack. Doesn't work :(

Jabel - not sure, that looks neat though. Will look into it
Zero 22 Sep, 2022 @ 9:52pm
Yep that did it. Not sure why some of these mods I like to use are being overwritten but this ! trick fixed it.

Is there any way you could update this on this mod so I can use this with friends in MP? If not, can I upload a version with this change?
Zero 22 Sep, 2022 @ 9:44pm
For some reason it doesn't work with Radious. It loads just fine and can play with it, but the changes aren't working. I looked up some info and was able to fix a different mod by adding a ! before the name of the edited field on the left hand side. So for this mod it would be everything you had modified in the db folder:

"!ff_nr_mixu_patch" under the db folder.

Is there any way you could update this on this mod so I can use this with friends in MP?

I haven't tested this but I can actually do a test right now. I know it's not working because I just got attacked by a dwarf and a orc army is reinforcing the attack.
TheLostArchangel 22 Sep, 2022 @ 7:20am
She /should/ be able to reinforce Durthu, I think, but not the other wood elf factions - vise versa, too.
Flying Fox  [author] 22 Sep, 2022 @ 1:47am
Yes, I had forgotten about Drycha. I'll have a look at how she should deviate from the other Woodelf factions.
DracoMcGee 21 Sep, 2022 @ 7:55pm
Seconded that, I dont think drycha should reinforce human/wood elf factions without an alliance.

Also this mod is pretty wicked. A much needed change, good job!
TheLostArchangel 18 Sep, 2022 @ 11:00pm
Make it so that Drycha can reinforce vampires, too? It kind of /makes sense/, in my eyes. Spooky scary haunted trees and vampires can get along well enough, and Drycha does have options to ally with the vamps.
Flying Fox  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 7:04am
That's correct
Xzaven 17 Sep, 2022 @ 6:57am
Seems like a nice change!
This only affects neutral reinforcements and not allied/vassal faction, right?
Meuhoua 17 Sep, 2022 @ 5:34am
My bad, mistranslation of the word "despite" in my brain. ^^

Anyway, i think of a thing that i guess could be interesting but impossible to set but (or maybe using some complex scripting) : as in Storm of Chaos or Endtimes, greenskin not really fight alongside order but more "join the party" against forces Chaos, not because Chaos is evil but more they was the "apex" force te beat, thats would be cool to allow neutral reinforment by greenskins if the opponant is in the actual top tier of factions.
Flying Fox  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 5:17am
Yes, they only proc when the target is a common enemy. Why?
Meuhoua 17 Sep, 2022 @ 5:11am
But neutral reinforcement do not alone proc only if the target is a common enemy ?
Flying Fox  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 4:43am
No, I think I can make it go one way, not sure. I did it both ways for simplicity's sake.
But still, I don't see Dwarfs, High Elves of Empire accepting help from Greenskins either. Not do I think Greenskins would bother, despite there being a common enemy.
Meuhoua 17 Sep, 2022 @ 4:40am
About greenskins, both point of view are right, in fact the better could be GRN can reinforce anyone (if there a fight, they go in - could be even better if the game was able to handle 3 sides battle) but most of factions will never help them. But i guess the setting only go with "both ways alliance".
Flying Fox  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 2:47am
There, Wood Elves and Dark Elves can reinforce.
Flying Fox  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 2:01am
I'm not so sure about Greenskins, especially not just anyone. There no way a Dwarf would be seen fighting alongside a Greenskins. And I don't think the Greenskins themselves care enough about which side is which and would just attack both.

In fact, I was considering not even allowing the Greenskins to neutrally reinforce other Greenskins.

But I'll keep it under consideration.
Neil 17 Sep, 2022 @ 1:53am
Great idea for a mod, and yeah WE/DE get along enough to fight a common enemy together.

I also think the greenskins should reinforce anyone - as long as there's a fight they'll be there wherever the krumpin is!
Flying Fox  [author] 17 Sep, 2022 @ 1:50am
@a.henkler
While I'm not too keen on using the End Times as justification, you do have a point about there being a tech for better relation with the Delves. So the game already establishes more neutral relations with them. Also, I think the wood elf emergence in Athel loren predates the whole betrayal of Malekith to the High Elves.

So yeah, I'll put those two in green again. Thanks for the feedback!
a.henkler 16 Sep, 2022 @ 11:04pm
I don't see why wood elves and dark elves shouldn't be abe to reinforce each other. I don't know much about the lore, except that both dark elves and high elves seek refuge among the wood elves in the end times, which reinforces my point. Gameplaywise though wood elves get two technologies that improve relations with the dark elves, plus a skill from the Sisters of Twilight. I find it pretty easy to be friends with both high end dark eleves in the mid- and end-game (as long as alliances don'f force you to take a side).
So the wood elves are more neutral to dark elves.
Meuhoua 16 Sep, 2022 @ 2:43pm
Nice rework, really needed for more lorefriendly set. A suggestion, may be Tomb Kings should reinforce no one (even Tomb Kings) as they are all proud and ambition, and all persuated to be rightfull ruler and any others consider as usurpators (except of course for arkhan who should have vampires and may be dark elves proximity).
ZhangJao 16 Sep, 2022 @ 1:51pm
Thank you for the mod, really useful with this new mechanic
