It took me much longuer than I expected but I finally managed to make my own version of the mod. Here is the link:

I noticed Cerb had the great idea to change the mod structure to make it more compatible with other unit mods, so I did the same, big thanks to him!
Overall I think my version is closer to the original mod as it is much more restrictive, even T1-T2 level units have caps. Feel free to pick-up the version you prefer!

@bh2469 sorry I wasn't much available these last weeks, but this week is more quiet so it's only a matter of days before I complete the update. It's not as easy as I thought but once I get used to it it should be faster to update in the future.

furoba if you want any help let me know - I have just reinstalled wh3 and will use this mod so if you weren't uploading I would just update it for my own use. Happy to help with any tedious stuff (ie calculating caps / adding them), but don't know anything about scripting.

Seconded. This no longer functions as of 5.0, it crashes my game as soon as I select "Immortal Empires" for my campaign choice.

They edit the same tables. Last time I checked, SFO has a unit cap option. I prefer the UCfA system, but maybe you should just use SFO's.

Thanks for the thanks generally, and best wishes to Furoba in future development. I do hope you get help with submods: I never really had very much luck getting help with that except for yourself doing the French translation. Good on you!

@True Narrative: Thanks! I think I can handle updating the main mod by myself, however any help to create/update submods is welcome.
If you are interested I would suggest you first have a look at the submods already released, most of them will probably need an update.

@alcibiades Due to my limited time I will focus on the main mod and I might only do one or two submods for mods addings new lords such as Mixu's.

Mods adding completely new factions such as OVN require a lot more work and testing that I won't have time to do. However, I will be glad to assist if someone wants to make submods for these.

Vacuity, Thanks for the hundreds of hours of enjoyment your mod allowed me to extract from the game. I too found it a necessary part of every campaign. Despite the fact that it limited the selection of mods I could use, it was always the centre piece that I built my mod collections around. I wish you all the best.

I'm kind of surprised they never implemented a campaign toggle with a feature like this. This really helps make the unit choices and infrastructure feel more dynamic and impactful without needing some kind of massive rework.

@Vacuity. Thank you for all that you did for us. I have found this mod completely necessary to enjoy the game. Now, strangely sadly, there is a new update and DLC for us. Who will save us now? For anyone looking to use or hopefully update this mod. Skaven warpfire throwers, jezzails and rattling guns get something like 40k+ hitpoints. Makes them very hard to kill and annoying to fight.

I cant see neither the Vortex Monster or other SOC units in the gifted units pool for WC, anyone else has this bug.

Just wanted to give some appreciation again for this mod. It's #1 in my list and I can't really play the game w/o it. Other caps mods aren't too shabby but this one feels more immersive since the rare units you can field are directly tied to the size of your empire, and ditto for the AI.

If there's some way to help automate updates via scripting, perhaps I could contribute in that way. But regardless, thanks again for this mod.

Update: Updated for 4.2 with the new units added, and balance changes made to accomodate them.
Also fixed a variety of duplicated lines that were probably left over from the various times RPFM has crashed mid-work

I personally also not interested in the game, especially after CA keep putting lords in random places. However, I really love your mod and I would like to know how to continue support it. I already used wydm to change caps, but I don't know to add new units and make submods.

They're not full mods, they're compatibility patches for mods that add units or otherwise wouldn't be compatible.

I haven't meaningfully played this game since last July.
CA has basically killed my interest in the game. There are so many amazing, wonderful, and well-supported games out there by teams that genuinely care about their games, and not just how much cash they can extract from the players.
If somebody else wants to take over and do things like find proper fixes for Hellcannon caps, talk to me.
