@DickLouden Since I've recently pushed out the update and am now working on and prioritized an update for Total Warzone, non-bugfix updates might not happen for a bit. Would be good to consider though - I've heard of some of those forums but haven't really looked into them too much. I just don't want factions to get cluttered, which tends to happen on the mods I spend the most time on.

@Gorthar That was an intentional design choice to help differentiate the roles of Officers/Squad Leaders/etc. vs regular rifleman in the command structure. Also, for example when playing "scavenged equipment missions like Escape, to prevent the first poor sap you find from giving you a map of everything around, and to encourage target prioritization and such. I've tried to make sure units like Gunners, Drivers, Engineers, etc. who might need to use or mark maps have them, but I didn't exactly pick them on an exact science.

I've had a couple comments like that on other mods like my 2035 North Korea mod, but typically it's intended to be a feature, not a bug.

Re-watched the movie recently and was reading some of the red dawn+20 threads and it made me think up a couple of suggestions. Would there be any chance of a soft dependency for RHS in order to get the BMD in the combloc roster? I appears in the movie but does that go beyond the scope of your intent for this mod? If you don't want to use RHS I for sure understand, I normally don't use it either. The other suggestion was based on the Plus20 idea of foreign aid eventually arriving and this could be incorporated into a US "foreign assistance" or something like that squad that might have a mix of US and foreign small arms, like M16 and M14s mixed with FALs and panzerfaust 3s, just an idea, the mod is already really good!

Hi I'm not sure if it's intentional, but at least some of the Soviet infantry do not carry maps, which is a minor frustration. Nevertheless, I really like this mod as it seems to harmonise the various cold war cdlcs into something really cool :)

I'll be honest, I'm not sure where the Red Dawn camouflage comes from right now because I'm working on the next update at the moment (like, text editor up and all). Red Dawn camouflage in the next update will be from the Jamie's Basics mod dependency, which has no DLC requirement.

As always, if you don't own a particular DLC, you should load its corresponding compatibility data to ensure the mod works properly.

Haven't touched this mod in a while, but I plan to do some update in the future, not sure when yet. Jamie's Basics has lots of new stuff I can use, I can consolidate soft dependencies, and get the new CSLA assets in. I'm just getting used to my new job's schedule so I can't guarantee when I'll be working on it. Lots to do though.

I apologize, can someone give me a guide on how to make the MOD work? I have all the required DLC and have subscribed to the necessary MODs but when I open ARMA I either get the generic ARMA screen or Prairie Fire splash screen. Thank you

Hope you consider using s&s, the new jam basics us equipment or at least the default CSLA equipment to avoid de high amount of clipping in the US units, because i really love this mod. Keep the great work

Unfortunately, that is an issue on CSLA's end with the memory points used for ironsights, so I cannot fix that easily without manually going through recoil configs to pick a good one, which takes much more time than I have available right now.

The new recoil causes the iron sight hitting player's face in first person every time it is fired, which is the main issue, otherwise it's fine, and new sound for it is really good.

I set the CSLA FAL's recoil to match that of the Western Sahara SLR, IIRC.

@The Lemming I'm actually considering a JAM Basics dependency right now. While it's open source, directly integrating all the assets into this mod is simple too much work for what it's worth, so this should streamline the process.

On one major point - I will not be removing the requirement for GM and CSLA cDLC. GM is an integral part to the initial design and vision of the mod, and many CSLA internal configs are used or modified within this mod.

That being said, I am open to open-source models for some assets that are not already available. I have my fingers crossed on some images posted by the CSLA devs being teasers on what's to come.

I am currently working on an update to Aerodynamics Lab, and by extension, Red Dawn Air Aux, at the moment, and have a couple other tweaks and fixes for other mods of mine on the back burner as well.

I've actually taken a look at that since it's open source and assets could be integrated directly into the mod if needed. Unfortunately, I noticed a fair bit of clipping on some pieces of gear and put it on the back burner. I may look at it again in the future though to see if I can find any good workarounds.

about my last comment - I'm willing to help do the work to build the stuff needed without the CDLCs - it will have gaps to start, but there _are_ other mods that provide a number of the items in those DLCs. hit me up if you want that help or have a desire to decouple this from the CDLCs.

note: all of us play mike force in our community, so 99% of us have that CDLC, so while it would be nice to have CDLC-free version of this mod, we could live with SOGPF...

While I appreciate the update, the mod is still broken and useless for most players. The data compatibility mods are laggy as hell, don't work for all items, and you get dozens of pop-ups _even if you do have DLCs_. Please. Make this a faction mod and remove the GM and CSLA requirements as best you can. After 3 ops with this mod, I gave up on it and just did the work to build my own compositions for the uniforms -- using CUP and S + S; if you're like me and you don't want to force your players to download > 30GB of compatibility data or pay $$ for the DLCs, there's an option for you, it just won't have the fancy faction names.

sorry to the dev if this sounds like an attack on him, but it isn't. it's an attack on arma 3 and how sh*tty their CDLC system ended up being, despite looking like a good idea on paper. the work the dev put into this is GREATLY appreciated, it just will not work for our community (and apparently 3 others we work with).

Make sure you have the Western Sahara DLC or its corresponding compatibility data loaded. I used the black 20Rnd M14 magazines from that DLC to ensure compatibility with the widest variety of weapons.

I can unhide the legacy one, sure.
Currently the roundel is not visible because it will appear as two roundels next to each other in one spot.
In the meantime, you should be able to spawn the legacy Type 59 in the corresponding Tank Platoon composition.

hello! will the new T-54B from SOG PF in the chinese faction get the PLA roundel on the front of the turret eventually just like from the legacy T-55 from GM? also a shame it had to be hidden, would be nice to have both

No problem! I don't have the config know-how to determine what the cause could be, the only vague guess I have is that because of how they're set up, they *might* be a turret class instead of a weapon pylon? But even then, I'm afraid guesses are all I got- I'm sure you'll crack it tho!

Howdy! Excellent mod, love how you've integrated all the CDLC assets together for this, works great to fill out some cold war factions we've desperately needed!

Do want to report an error, however- namely, on the UH-1C gunship with M134 flex mounts, neither the pilot nor copilot can access the miniguns, making the weapon unusable. Doesn't happen with the base SOG model, and I've tested it with only the CDLCs, uniform pack, and this mod loaded
