https://youtu.be/ipwWXY-ig08 A brief look at the ancient origins, history, and myths of the region of modern day Afghanistan. The region is extremely complex and with a very eventful history so this is very generalized. It also doesn't necessarily reflect the origins of all ethnic groups in modern Afghanistan, but primarily the Pashtuns, Tajiks and other Iranian peoples in the region.

Achaemenid soldier, 510 BC, Louvre Museum: https://youtu.be/6S3v_ytPcGU?t=89 — Persia was multiethnic, and possessed some Saka (Scythians) in their empire. It is known they combated the Scythians and Cimmerians, the 5th century Scythian campaign ended in a draw.

While not exactly Scythians, the Tocharians did possess European genes that showed up in their physical appearances. Later they intermixed with more Asiatic populations. https://thuletide.wordpress.com/?s=china

@Jack Interesting care to share your sources? Agreed and the units are not Saka anyway so has relevance or bearing.
Jack 8 Oct, 2022 @ 9:17am
@Jake The archaeological evidence and sources beg to differ. But this is a mod for a video game so it does not matter.
jake0843  [author] 8 Oct, 2022 @ 7:07am
@Jack you might want to look at the differences between the eastern and western Scythian peoples.
Jack 8 Oct, 2022 @ 5:36am
The Saka (or Scythians) were red-heads, sometimes blonds. They were Nordic-like in their physique and skin tone.
