to work in the config.
class BombSmk3 in the config.
Which means only those bombs dropped and those bombs that
inherit those classnames will see the smoke effect.
So what i need to add smoke dust like the dropped bombs for placed
explosives i would need the classnames for those as well, i will locate one
of them and add it to the config and
see if i can get it to work, if it does, i will try more and if they work then i will
update the mod accordingly.
So i will post again to let you know the results.
need to be tested.
There are two questions:
1. Does this only occur when air bombs explode? Or always - during explosions of charges, hits by a rocket and missiles, mortar hits, etc
2. Will it work if the player is using Blast Core Standalone (not Blastcore Murr edition)? Is there compatibility or not?
vanilla dust and smoke, intensity refers to its thickness.
If you dont like it use the mod Blastcore Murr edition where the color is actually reflective
of the terrain its used on.
Again as i said below and in the description, the mod was just ported, i didn't
build it nor adjust, or change anything, all i did is some research which allowed me to
locate the correct file that would enable the mod to work in Arma 3.
So all im showing here is what was from Arma 2 is now in Arma 3, and only
one feature of many from the SLX mod by Solus.
https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/119935-coslx-an-updated-version-of-the-original-slx-mod/
The original mod just recompiled without the bugs with some files updated because of errors, and to adjust some things like bandaging ect,.
But i sorted all the features into their own categories based on what they do, so what i want to do for more of the features of that mod is port those features to Arma 3, i tried two others already without any success, so i need to put a little more focus on research.
The SLX mod did have this feature:
SLX_Impacts: Bullet impact effects based on real life footage and personal experience.
But again all these need to be researched to port them.
Sorry no script version, the feature is originally a feature of a larger mod.
This is the original release thread by the author Solus
https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/82698-slx-mod-wip/
theres about 90 of these little features, probably a few less as some are meant for compatibility.
Then there is my recompiled version of the same mod which back in the day i had reviewed the entire thread spent about 4 months on and created a post listing all the bug files of the mod seen here https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/82698-slx-mod-wip/?do=findComment&comment=1924823
Just so everyone understands, i did not create this mod Solus did
back in 2010 if not earlier, all i did was update the cfg.patches config
to require Arma 3 file to enable it to run in Arma 3.
Plus this little mod is 1 feature of 90 in the SLX mod for Arma 2.
I plan to do more but some are more trickier then others to determine
how to get them to work in Arma 3.
