Not included in resin mods. Load order between this mod and my other mods doesn’t need chnaging.

Don't have attila though - but I'm hoping all the textures are already in your mod right? Just yeah hence why I was asking if I should be able to have an add on mod that randomises existing textures, as otherwise I'd need to pull textures from your mod, recreate it from scratch, and then add variation (which would probably be neater way to do it, but I'm not practiced enough with modding to know what I"m doing so less is more - also why asking for advice as to how you would go about doing it in my position)

Would it be possible to add a mod that adds the unit variation on top of your current mod, or would I need to re-build your one from scratch with inserting new textures? I'm assuming I have to find the unit file which pulls the texture files to set to specific units themselves, and add a line to pull from elite melee cavalry textures?

You are seeing half horse armour like screenshots on mod page. Vanilla game don’t mix armour, to represent unit stats.

Are the models that you used previously combination of stock textures, or from somewhere else? I noticed that the old models still persist in some slave and rebel cavalry but no clue if that came with your mod or defaults as I've pretty much only played with your mod and don't recall what vanilla slave cavalry used to look like.

Yeah I get that - I just don't get why you'd make something unique, historically accurate and realistically immersive, something that isn't done by any other re-skin mod, and then just turn your work into the same as every other mod. Or why not just leave the old version up for people to enjoy along with the new, instead of completely altering the whole thing. Just hurts man from the perspective of someone who really appreciated the mod.

I am trying to follow in-game unit stats. I don’t really get angry about other people’s different preference, but also not really interested to make beyond my taste.

Apologies if I sound crass or angry - I'm just going through all the stages of grief here. Will eventually reach acceptance but still pretty sad as I really enjoyed your mod. As I mentioned, this was the only texture / reskin mod I've had installed for the game.

I just don't see how I'd be able to replicate the old mod with the mod tools, as my modding knowledge doesn't extend past removing artillery from troop roster. Plus don't have the original skins that you used (unless I can figure out where they are located in your mod). Genuinely still don't understand why you would take a gem that you created which was the only armor mod in the workshop that made the unit feel alive, realistic and an eye candy to behold, and just turned it into a regular re-skin like every single other reskin out there...

It was an awesome mistake though, one that made the unit truly unique. Is it an easy modification, and are you at all able to upload an "alternate" or the "mistake" version of the past? :)

Your mod is the only armor mod I've installed, so don't think there can be any conflict. Yeah it's all full barbing, no mix of full and half anymore like it used to be.

check if what you see is different from the screenshots newly uploaded in this mod page. because maybe what you are currently seeing could be collision with other mod. I thought that there are already enough variation like former version. ex) eastern royal cataphract get 6 type of armour.

The variation is what made it fun, unique and gave it life though. Zooming in with slow mo was the one few joys left, and now doing so is just no longer entertaining or enjoyable. It's just no longer as immersive and feels like a more shiny vanilla.

Is there any possible chance you will re-release the old version as a separate mod? Or any way we can force old pre-updated one via steam? I know it's only a small graphical mod and shouldn't really matter but your mod was the sole reason I was using cataphracts as I normally would have always went for faster lighter cavalry. It's like you created perfection, tempted us with it, and then snatched it away once we've had a taste :(

the background of recent change is to make armour sets rearranged, like half armour is with other half armour and full armour is with other full armour, not mixed each other. current version make cataphract have 3~4 variation. I updated noraml and elite cataphract with 1 variation added each, which I deleted once for makeing difference with each other.

Is there a way to revert back to the old version of the mod? Or would you possibly consider releasing the old version of this mod as a separate one? The new 25th patch just removed all unit variety, and all armour is now the same - full chain barbing with double crupper. Previously you had a variety of barbing, three different cruppers, and with variation of how horses were tacked up. The update completely killed immersion and the point of this mod for me from what I considered to be a "must have" mod in the past.

Really don't understand why you'd change your a masterpiece that added to the game like it used to. I'm sure you had your reasons, but please can we have the old mod back in some way shape or form? Pretty please?

I guess cataphract aromur will be reskined following this mod, but non-cataphract horse will keep their look according to Magnar’s.
