So yup, it works and 100% will work for ahlvarza's dungeon (which im gonna enjoying using), 100% this should work for other fights.
Exact same tactic i used back when i did dos 2, cast your dude's pet to start combat, have your guys buff the pet so he has full buffs, then move 1 team mate at a time into combat and you get full buffs. Nice to see the same tactic can work here.
And nope, when i used it for the first time, reeves just had regen and gaurd, axe dmg was default 9 dmg, and with blessed strike, was also only 9 dmg, and when i used it, it did 9 dmg.
Also, since i got you so early as well, im not sure if your mods are interfearing with spells when you have the enchanter ability that restore's mana when you got 1. My main dude has 22 mana (on purpose) and i figured i could just infinitely cast any 7 cost spell and after the first cast, it seems each spell costs 1 less mana, almost as if the game is like "NO! ITS NOT THAT EASE TO CHEESE THIS ABILITY!" /cry lol
It did not effect either the default weapon attack (im using an augmented axe on reeve) and its not effecting the augment or enchant dmg either. /cry
If I wasn't already a busy modder elsewhere, you'd have made me consider doing Horizon Gate mods (lol).
It's fine though, I picked up the Aspis mod shield for him and that's arguably even better.
I didn't get around to doing the repeatable section since I was already massively overflowing with XP by that point and was just gathering optimal gear (which the ironice chests helped with, notably with the +2 Flail/Shield gloves for Dyme and Auto-Enchant Ring for my Ranger/Spell Archon cat archer).
It's a pretty awesome combo that allows you to mostly go without the usual Sage/Warden setup (since you start with Ward, Guard, and Regen with the passives from both these classes and then apply them to the entire team with Covenant on the first turn).
As my Reeve had about 13 Life skill by the endgame and had the hammer from the Bastion that uses Life skill for damage, he was pretty great support and decent DPS all in one. My only problem was that I had a Silver Tower, threw it, and somehow lost it in the dark in Betwixt (lol).
Probably unintended: Shield Throw allows you to throw any melee weapon whether a shield is equipped or not.
