game is crashing when I try to move a unit of storm-bringers in the pre-battle phase. Just clicking on them crashed the game. Also I noticed that when you upgrade the runesmith building (the one that lets you recruit storm and wardbearers) at higher tiers you lose the capability to recruit them. It may be a mod conflict but I am not sure.

@Darkwolf Did you figure out which mod was causing the crash, having the same issue but can't seem to figure out which mod it is. I have a bunch installed but none that affect the dwarves

I kinda get the feeling that they poked something in the area. I'll check when I can.

as for the rest, no promises. Like I said, I have pretty much no interest in the new dwarf mechanics.

I've been having a blast playing the Kraka Drak campaign but as the prior commenter said Malakai's start was weird. It didn't look like he was at war with the Norscans so he sorta just stood there for a few turns. The deeps worked well with the playstyle but one of the buildings, the brew hall requires some technologies that obviously can't be researched. I would also love to know your stance on potentially allowing some normie dwarf units to be recruited once Malaki is confederated through his ship. Irondrake+Frostdrake armies have been so fun to play with.

Malakai was originally born at sea, and in the first round, he couldn't even attack the settlement, wasting the turn.

Understandable Cataph. I’ve been playing KD for years and it worked much better but with settler units, it’s hard to RP northern dwarves when have OP units you can easily recruit with half the upkeep. Still enjoy the mod
I was really pissed when they replaced my bois with Malakai. Glad your mod, as it was a decade ago, did right to our northern fellas. Thanks for everything

I don't have plans to tweak frostdrakes at the moment. The whole grudge update pushed me away from playing dwarfs as a whole and most of those settler units are OP.

if you don't want to use Braves or unlock Orgi's Blades that's your choice.

as much as i love this mod. there is zero incentive to use the KD units early game because they are much more expensive than longbeards. you dont end up using the KD units until mid/late game. needs to have price balance.

Do you have any plans to eventually give some TLC to this mod? Such as updating the tech tree and adding in some of formations? or going over the age reckoning units?

I'm getting a CTD with just this and mixer running.
I'm guessing it's to do with the latest patch.

unless it's some super obscure hardware thing, I'll still call it a false positive. Obviously I always play with it on, and so do others, without crashing. It's not like it does anything weird under the hood, or anything non-vanilla with audio especially (related to that specific suspicion).

either way I would have no idea how to repro or fix it if it was even actually this mod.

Thanks for updating your mods, Cataph! Side note...HazardHawk may be on to something, as I finally had to remove this mod I've used for years from my load order because I noticed a link between it and crashes. Pulled it (still use your other mods), and no more crashes. :Monokuma2_DGR::critical:

Cataph, before you take offense, I only noted there is a conflict. Out of pure curiosity after going through everything yesterday just to make sure nothing had slipped through just before when I was digging and tracing, dropped in a fresh primary drive, loaded fresh, loaded my mod list, same results.

I am more tech than gamer so an error at that depth is a fresh "game" to puzzle through from my perspective. Even already created a manual mod backup set that will not get updated to keep tracing it even if the mod combination changes it effect when something updates.

Only got as far as narrowing to an audio connection worth following. It is only information sir

I add a lot of faction mods no matter which race/faction I am playing. Here is a new one for you, with this mod loaded, when it comes this factions turn somewhere between half a dozen turns and a few dozen, I get a system ntdll.dll crash in windows freezing WH3. Considering I get random dual voices talking (especially with Skaven Clans) while this mod is loaded, thinking it has to do with audio especially as my second screen playing a movie loses sound as well when this mod freezes. Remove it and no more issues.

the cost of 1 should be only visual (and like 0.1 in actuality) unless they changed it again. I need that to make the new runes show up on the right dock, cause CA used some hardcoded kludge for theirs.

Some of the Deeps buildings effects are also linked to certain dwarf techs, which don't seem to be available to the Norse Dwarfs.

Is it intended that the two unique rune magic abilities that the Wardlord has cost 1 wind of magic each? Both the Rune of Fire II and the Rune of the Watching Dark have a cost of 1 wind of magic associated with them, and the Rune of Fire II seems to also not benefit from the rune cooldown reductions, maybe because it's unlocked as if it was a Master Rune and those have different skills affecting them.
