I remember there was a mod that allowed pawns to wear multiple different headgear that used to conflict. Does anyone remember which mod that was?

Dude? Why change the interface? The old one was simple and easy. The only upgrade it need is drag select.

Somehow I don't see any options except 'only apply to colonist' and 'Use "don't shave your hair" hairs'. no drop down or anything.

nvm I fixed it by lower UI scale to 1.5.

@Drej in the apparel column on the right, click allow all and set the middle option to hide hat

So, this mod is not working for me and I can't figure out if it's because of the new interface or a conflict with something.

I created a new Setting entry in the mod options. In that setting, I have all Apparel checked green on the right panel.

On the left panel the settings are as follows:
Bed ✔
Drafted ✔
Indoors ✔
Home Area: ✔
Meditating ✔
Vacuum ✔

Nothing is happening and everyone still has their helmets displaying. Literally all I want to do for right now is just have NO helmets showing at all, at any time. Does anyone have a setting just for that?

The "any" and "all" settings are a bit confusing but the rest is pretty easy to figure out

Listen, everyone, I know this new interface is not intuitive and hard to initially figure out, however, here are some things you can do to figure it out.

Start a new standard colony 3 people and get a hat.. Once you have a hat try this

Create a new Setting Entry in the mod options (in the escape menu) and simply select Apparel check box on the right. This alone will enable hats. Now lets create a condition Leave the mod menu and draft your colonist From here, lets go back to the mod menu and edit our Entry by clicking details. To the left on the details screen, make sure anyany is marked, toggle drafted condition with a check mark, and the hat appears Continue toggling, and you will see how the hat is removed under the other 2 conditions

I have set these options, and am going to try them out for possible required tweaking as I play

Bed X
Drafted ✔
Indoors X
Home Area: ~
Meditating X
Vacuum ✔

Show Hair options is just blank I only have 2 options "apply to colonist" and "dont shave hair"

I had some issues with some hair styles being drawn over the faces. Disabling "Don't shave your hair" fixed the problem.

PS: I'm using [NL] Facial Animation

There is an issue right now where pawns become invisible and errors spam the console if the config is not set up correctly, possibly due to the config containing clothing from mods that were removed OR adding new clothing?

I can't figure this interface out or get it to work with the new changes. Unfortunately, cause I really liked this mod, but now If I use it, they either have no hats at all or the whole pawn is invisible.

Wish this didn't change : /

So there's a problem with this new change. Before, when using "Show Shave Your Hair" hairs, the pawn's hair become the smaller verson while wearing a helmet but while it is off, they use the full version. However now the pawns always use the smaller version when the setting is switched on.

Warcaskets no longer work with this mod, the helmets are always invisible and there is no way to enable them in the new option menu. I think they're just excluded from the way the mod filters what is/isn't a headgear item? Certain helmets also have issues with showing hair, at least on my end. The marine helmet is a prime example, many hair sprites are "backwards" or otherwise cover the entire face as if the pawn was facing north when facing south.

although it does work very very well, i think some people just need to get accustomed to the changes, and a tutorial on the steam page would help with that

It was not extensible, and I've had people asking how to do stuff that the mod couldn't before, which it now can.

Yep. Played with the new... very interesting UI for longer than I care to admit. All hats invisible no matter what I do.

Oops, under "Add setting entry" the center column is a button saying "Hide hat" I thought was a label, but it is a button! To other users you must click "hide hat" and select "Show Hair" or other options. Sorry to waste your time Cat2002, and this is truly my favorite necessary mod!

I'm so sorry, no matter how many settings I pick no hats are showing. The best I can do is get people to turn invisible temporarily with vac helmets then they reappear still not wearing any hat/helmet.

I check all hairs to be hidden under hat.
I create setting entry. Selected all hats. I check only "Drafted" box. Both settings to "Any" and nothing happens when drafted. I selected all on both settings, nothing happens. Checked any on one and all on the other, nothing happens. I checked all status boxes. Selected any on both, nothing happens.

I'm so confused. I've clicked all buttons and compared all settings I think and it doesn't seem to be working?

When using this mod and the Odyssey DLC, I get an error "Could not find a type named ShowHair.HatConditionWorkerCachedInVacumm." I'm guessing Odyssey added a new hat condition for space travel that you haven't accounted for yet.

This is an FYI, not a complaint. I get that the DLC only released, like, an hour ago.

To the author: Please add more in-game hints about what "All" and "Any" mean above the list of conditions and what "~" means next to each condition.

To everyone else: The mod is working, you just need to add the display conditions in the mod settings. How to do it? Read the comment from the author below, or
randomly poke all the buttons in the mod settings until you get the desired result (as I did...)

To use the new version create a new entry on the left side of the settings, go in, select conditions that it needs to match and not match, select hats it will target and select what it will do if that entry matches

Whatever you changed in the update has made the mod stop doing anything other than hiding all hats
