Thanks jandlml and Mattchew! Regarding getting the cube behind the bars, I'm glad you liked that! I was pretty happy when I realized I could add it. Those are very fair gripes. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by flinging into the portal sideways but I remember there being some janky things that I'm not too happy about. I actually started remaking this once, but mapping is hard and I'm lazy :P Maybe one day!

Been meaning to check this out for a while! Besides the sick ghost cube move, my favorite bit was putting the exit cube behind the jailbar floor surface. it was a very funny, counter-intuitive subtlety I really liked and was a great way to end the map.

I do have my gripes, and its mostly I wish the two main moves (ghost cube and the big cube fling) had its easier to execute version enforced completely, as I found their jankier cousins before the clean paths for both times. I wouldn't normally comment on that but I do think completely enforcing the clean paths would be possible by simply making the map larger (more specifically so you cant fling into the lightbridge portal sideways.)
Overall however, this was a really cool map, and had one of the most unique concepts i've seen. Super solid!

Very nice one!

Many thanks! I'm very glad to hear it wasn't Dog-Watery :lunar2019grinningpig:

Nice puzzle! Certainly far from Dog-Watery. I enjoyed the emphasis on multiple auto-respawning cubes with no dropper inputs, which seem to be rare. The comical knock-off move was also very much appreciated, haha. I had a little trouble getting my cubes around comfortably due to the limited portal surfaces, though by watching one of the playthroughs I've realized that I juggled much more than necessary.

ShiYun: Nice playthrough! it's almost exactly what I intended, though you don't have to grab the cube under the bridge. Thanks a lot for the kind words and the favorite!

yelloo: Thank you, glad you liked it!

This is a detailed and interesting map, and traveling with CC,I like it!

Really good puzzle, it contains many aspects in a compact area and few, clean connections, Favorited !

Thank you very much! Watching your playthrough was a lot of fun. Sorry about the portal orientation issues at ~24 minutes. I should have been more careful placing the triggers for that! Getting the cube to land on the light bridge is also more painful than I would like it to be, but I couldn't figure out how to make it easier without messing other things up. I do think it's easier to do if you first catch it with the other portal surface, though. Checking the height was a great idea, by the way! I'm glad you still enjoyed the puzzle in spite of the rough spots. Thanks for playing and I hope to catch you live on twitch sometime soon!

Good puzzle with few elements to it, the logic was good and hard !
It took me some time to beat it because I got the cube to the top by using the hard way
Congrats on winning the contest, you earned it  Favorited !

Ohh yeah, more clean than my wacky way, very good portal arrangement.
horse  [author] 27 Nov, 2022 @ 3:17pm
Thank you very much! Yes, there are easier (to execute, at least) ways to do both of those things. You can see the intended way to do #1 on Mike's stream: https://youtu.be/Po8_MbWUOEw?t=6705 . For #2 you don't need to mentally count. You can just shoot your portal somewhere else.

Excellent work!I agree with nobody about this surprisingly complicated solution.I really enjoyed the flow of logic. But there are some teeny tiny things I'm not sure..
1. I had two successful ways to bring the CC to the second floor.
a) One was I hold the cc when the dropper opened, then went through the portal and release it in the air and shot the bridge portal.
b) Another was like in the video, you need to adjust the position after the CC's dropping, but it was not involved in the video, because it was exactly where I wanted it to be, and then the shooting was the same as before.
Although these two methods seem to be the same, I don't think they are the correct solution(tough shooting)...

2. Need a mentally count down to the last moments?(4:24 killed the portal)
Congratulations on your first, you deserve it!!!I haven't finished playing other works, but this one tastes fresh and new.:steamhappy:

Great map, the biggest surprise from all those contest maps. Congrats on first place. You released a lot cool maps lately. Thank you.
horse  [author] 13 Nov, 2022 @ 10:14am
That all looks good to me! Are you talking about catching the cube on the light bridge? I use the other surface for that. It's still not ideal but I think it's a little easier. Nice job, thanks for playing!
lapicidas 13 Nov, 2022 @ 12:31am
Very interesting map  I'm not quite sure if everything is as intended in my solution, I did not tossing cubes or used crazy speedrun techniques, but one situation requires a tight timing :steammocking:

Yeap that part of the solution was funny.
horse  [author] 7 Nov, 2022 @ 10:47am
Nice! That's actually not far from what I had in mind. The cube tosses skip some logic of course. It's also possible to solve without having to time the cube oscillating in your head, but that barely changes anything. Sadly I overlooked the move where you pulled the cube through the fizzler and made it up the lift in time to catch the other one. I'll try to remember to fix that once the competition is over, but meanwhile If you want a little extra logic you could look for another way :P Thanks for playing!
Tomi 7 Nov, 2022 @ 10:13am
Now that I read the description, I may try to solve it properly later but that's my first succeded attempt.

Thank you!

asd417: Was it the little ghost cube bump?
Dolphiner 6 Nov, 2022 @ 2:58am
Very impressive map! A lot of complexity for such an unassuming setup. Big thumbs up!

Part of the solution made me laugh. Overall clever map
horse  [author] 3 Nov, 2022 @ 7:46pm
Thanks! Sorry about the cube juggling. I tried to make it so you don't have to look super far away from the cube to make the shots, but I can see how it might still be annoying.
E L Y T R O N 3 Nov, 2022 @ 6:47pm
very intricate! absolutely LOVED the ghost cube move here. Not a fan of timing portal shots as cubes oscillate between floor portals, but I couldn't think of alternatives. Cheers!
horse  [author] 2 Nov, 2022 @ 10:51am
Perfect and thank you! And what you did this time is what I meant by pop up. Maybe it's called a light bridge climb or something like that.
Frigga 2 Nov, 2022 @ 1:26am
i didnt go to the rescue area this time
https://youtu.be/_0W1Q1lBt1s
Frigga 1 Nov, 2022 @ 9:47pm
@horse yes i agree that the rescue area (or called reset area) should reset all the things like respawn all the cubes, to do that u may add a button to respawn all the cubes and add a timer to the faith plate . and that is the weird thing. I will try to prevent it and record a video again later.

and this is really good update to force people to think about ghost cube . it is fun to execute:)

i am not sure the meaning of pop myself[/sppoiler] i will try to figure out:)
horse  [author] 1 Nov, 2022 @ 8:50pm
...sorry for the wall of text and thanks for giving the map a second chance. I really appreciate it!
horse  [author] 1 Nov, 2022 @ 8:50pm
Awesome, that's very close to what I had in mind. I hoped the rescue area would only be useful for getting unstuck. Maybe it should respawn the cubes too. I think you only really miss out on some extra cube juggling, though. I'm glad to see you didn't skip the ghost cube , since that was one of the main ideas for the puzzle, and catching the cube on the upside down light bridge. To set that one up I intended for you to get the companion cube into position and pop yourself up on the lightbridge twice, once by getting rid of your blue portal in the center room and bringing it back, and then the second time like you did in your video , but what you ended up doing seems fine to me so I don't think I'll try to force it. It might look like the floor is too low for that to work. It's really only that low so you cant pick the cube up once you flip the light bridge. Anyway... (to be continued)

nice update, again i think i did something weird

Thanks for playing! Oops, looks like I need to tighten up that rescue area. :steamfacepalm:

cool map with cube swapping
i think i did some moves a bit weird and this is my blind run https://youtu.be/Q4fvQ0ac5P4
