Malakai bug persists, its funny because it worked fine some updates ago, but anyway its the only thing missing , the rest works fine and awesome, even in the recent update

There's a Malakai bug that still persists with this mod. Also all the special weapons as mounts appear as "PLACE HOLDER". Thank you.

Hey! Really cool mod but as mentioned, kind of an issue where malakai can only equip his default gun or a marksman rifle. Would be cool to have him with a crank gun or something.

Bump, Any update for Malakai? As a Fledgling modder I attempted to fix it for myself, got him to fire but the animations are still all messed up and out of sync, should leave it to the professionals.

Same issue as Gecko, the Marksman rifle and Malakai's default gun work, but all the other added weapons have him spawning without any weapons, melee or ranged.

Anyone know how to fix Malakai specifically not loading into the battles with his equipped weapon? Master Engineers spawn in with their weapons, but Malakai loads in without any ranged weapon.

Do you think you could do something similar for the Empire and add Engineers with different weapons like Hochland Longrifles, Blunderbuss, Bündel-Musketen, or similar? :D

Yeah it was on unit_sets as far as I know. A lot of unit mods broke for that reason and need updating >.<

- Malakai is now back at being solo


- there's a bug in custom battles where they can turn into empire swordman portraits or goblin portraits

No errors or warnings in RPFM even though it's CTD, hopefully it's not an unholy mess of a treasure hunt to find out what the issue is if you happen to return to update the mod. Even if not I appreciate all the fun this mod gave!

hey I have 24 appereance variants but theres only 2 different models, does anyone know which mod could cause this conflict? playins as malak in IEE

ok so there is another issue with this mod. Ive had it before the assets thing was a requirement but if you dont have it all the characters from the last DLC dont appear on the map. I'm unsure if this is still a thing with the assets mod or not I havent checked

It seems the small pictures for the heroes (in the levelup screen in the top left), the master engineers from this mod have pictures of ulrika magdova instead of engineers.

Malakai also seems really easy to kill when you give him one of the weapons with crew in this mod. Doesn't seem worth it for him. (The unit had two entities left, but the one e ntity that died after losing 2000 health was malakai...)

I think this mod makes Malakai a bit bugged. For some reason when I equip him with one of these mounts, he gets 2 added units (they look like ironbreakers without shields). This by itself is whatever, but the main issue I ran into was that this new entity doesn't seem to be properly recognized by the game as "Malakai". The reason for this was that during the Skaven legendary battle (where you have to defuse the bomb), it would not recognize that I had Malakai on the spot to defuse. I had to forfeit the battle, unmount him, then do it again and it properly recognized him.

But it could be the base asset pack one instead technically. I don't have any other mods that interact with dwarf units, so whatever mod is adding the two attache characters to Malakai is probably what's causing the issue.

Idea: Make the Heavy Crank Gun a better Light Crank Gun but reduce speed to, like, 10, and melee stats too, but increase the range etc. Between the Trollhammer and Riffle, and even the Rocket Barrage (which murders Characters), we could use a better longer range anti infantry machine gun

Submod idea: Add Land Ship from High King Landship mod. I hit a brick wall getting Malakai's head to poke out of the tank but it works in concept! This mod is great and has turned my Malakai campaign into one of the most fun I've played. Thank you!

You should swap the skill nodes to a different indent than 0, any mod that adds a skill point dump conflicts with this one, but I fixed it by setting all skill nodes to indent 4. Malakai needs the skills in indent 3 to not extend beyond the UI as well.

Awesome mod, makes armies with 5 engineers really unique! The only complain I have is that with mods that double unit sizes as well as lord and hero health, equipping weapons halves the health back to it's original value. Any chance you could fix that or is that a nay?

@_D3rpyN3wb_ Oh alright, I didn't expect the removal of the other entities to cut chunks of his own healthbar. Well, thanks for the answer, looking forward to see your changes. Too bad if the ammo carriers are removed though, that was quite fun to see on the battlefield, two guys with bags full of munitions for this one crazy Slayer-Engineer :)
And thanks again for the mod, it's guys like you who keep this game being fresh and fun ;)

@Fepixx42, this is happening because Malakai have ammo carriers on some equipement and not others, I think I'll have to remove the ammo carriers in the next update and revert it to a singular entity

Hello ! First of all, very cool mod, thanks for that. I have vermintide flashbacks now when mowing skavens with a crank gun :D
However I have noticed something in my playthrough with Malakai. When I change his equipement over to see the stats, his health starts to fall. But it doesn't get back up when I retake the previous "mount". It just keeps falling. So after 5 consecutives health, my poor leader is at 240 health when starting at 900 (post-battle of course).
Has anyone experienced that ?
I play with other mods but none that affect dwarves, engineers or Malakai.
