- WCR: Now that Siamese Domestic Influence check has been added to the main WCR mod, these overrides on this mod's side are thus no longer needed and thus removed, as well as other assorted changes as suggested by @1230james.
- Ruler Clothing: Add support for pre- and post- westernised Siamese Ruler Uniforms (the latter is based on Pridi Banomyong's Regent of Siam Uniform)
- Flavour renames for states and hubs (read: on-map cities) now work 100%, as well as other assorted naming fixes that I haven't noticed earlier.
This is savegame-compatible
Cheers - love your mod <3
Thanks for the notes - I'll get them patched soon
I've included the SIA tag into the list of countries with domestic uniforms combined with a check to see if this mod is active in order for the option to be selectable.
I've not changed the logic for `WCR_late_army_uniform_trigger`. I don't think you should be relying on it for anything since it's only really meant to drive the fake late game uniforms. You could set up your own late-game uniform trigger for your own use, and if there's any portrait modifier conflicts/overlaps with the WCR late-game uniforms, I would prefer you just set up some sort of override in the portrait modifiers on your end instead of having WCR try to account for it.
I'll be pushing the update for WCR in a bit. Cheers!
- Companies: Add Louise T. Leonowens Ltd. (Yep, that Leonowens from "The King and I") as the new Teak prestige good logging & tobacco company.
- Companies: Jucker, Sigg & Co will now specialise in "Jasmine Rice" prestige good instead.
- Companies: Tanin now has their own special "Tanin Radio" prestige good.
Likely savegame-compatible (tested earlier with my own saves).
MR-specific companies are next, as well as Siamese artists/scientists/...
- Military Clothing: Late-Game Royal Siamese Army (Tier 5-6) Soldiers, Officers, and Commanders will now wear Adrian helmet alongside their Service Cap.
- Military Clothing: Late-Game Royal Siamese Army (Tier 4-6) now wears their Battle Dress Uniform instead of Service Dress Uniform when mobilized/at-war.
- Military Clothing: Add Royal Siamese Navy clothing for westernised (WCR) / recognised (vanilla) Siam - prior to this they will use the same uniform as the Royal Siamese Army.
- General Mod File refactor across the board
- WCR: This mod is now 100% fully compatibles with WCR - you can now pick non-Siamese Ruler/Army/Navy uniform options as provided by WCR as well should that mod be enabled.
This is savegame-compatible.
Can you upload the savegame from that playthrough somewhere and send them to me? I don't think there's any event/JE yet to affect late-game outside of uniform n company code - but probably wouldn't hurt checking out
Update: I've narrowed down the issue to `00_companies_mp1.txt` which ensures DLC goods override other custom prestige goods, will report this bug to PDX
Update 2: report filed [forum.paradoxplaza.com]
- Civilian Clothing: Fix Siamese Westernized Royal Clothing being applied to all monarchy (forgot to add a check whether if that character is from Siam lmao)
- Civilian Clothing: Revert custom Westernized Scientist Clothing for Morgenrote, at least until the trigger is working again without overlapping with MR's own files.
- Military Clothing: Update Mid Rattanakosin (Tier 2: OTL Haw Wars) Soldier Cap, Late Rattanakosin (Tier 3: OTL Paknam Incident) Soldier & Officer coat.
This is savegame-compatible.
(Is it because I'm Lanfang and I started the company using a treaty port but the HQ is on Borneo and most of my plantations are in Guangdong?)
- Civilian Clothing: Fix post-Westernised (WCR) / Recognised (Vanilla) Siamese pop clothing overlaps when using with Morgenröte
- Civilian Clothing: Upgrade Monarchy, Bureaucrats, & IG Leader clothings post-Westernised (WCR) / Recognised (Vanilla).
- Military Clothing: Add Tier 3 - 6 Royal Siamese Army clothing (see attached picture in mod description for more unlock conditions)
This is savegame-compatible.
- Add Pre- And Post- Westernized Thai clothing for Siamese POPs ( Western Clothes: Redux is recommended but not having that would just change our requirement to just recognised status), Royal Siamese Armed Forces Clothing will be expanded to cover all 6 uniform changes between 1836-1936 later.
- Buff Mongkut to "Moderniser" ideology, King Nangklao (Rama III) will get his own trait with the next upcoming patch.
This is savegame-compatible.
would u make a line in description
Here is my Chinese localization. https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2880069248
- Add Prestige Goods for Thai Company, 3 new companies (Thai Silk Co., Ltd., Cha Tra Mue, Thai Fisheries Co., Ltd.)
This is savegame-compatible
- Add in-game Burney Treaty of 1826 between GBR and SIA (AI won't instantly tear it down now thankfully), and USA AI will sign Roberts Treaty (Siamese–American Treaty of Amity and Commerce) of 1833 a few days into the game.
- To represents กรมพระคลังสินค้า (Siamese Ministry of Trade - Literally got Royal Monopoly on all assets) better, a LV.2 Trade Center and a LV.1 trading port has been added to Bangkok (historical estimate trade volume at the time was ~2x those of Saigon, which Paradox give them a LV.1 but not for Bangkok???)
- A few relationship inits aside from treaty-related ones mentioned above i.e. SIA-POR are now cordial to each other, and SIA is a bit wary of FRA's Catholic missions.
- Some AI adjustment for Siamese Flavour Companies we've add in the previous patches to better suites the 1.9 update.
Also, not to nitpick, but I don't see the point in renaming 'Armed Forces' to 'Krom Phra Kalahom.' It's just the Thai term written in English, which makes it harder to read and doesn't really add anything. Same goes for the 'Landowners' as well.
-It is not really historically accurate to not change a flag to the modern Thai flag when we have some form of voting whilst keeping the King. Although, when Siam becomes a republic, the middle blue strip may change since it represents the royalty.
-It would be great to railroad the historically accurate kings from Rama III to VIII just like Russia
-We should be able to change the name to Thailand after researching Nationalism and some journal entries.
-Having a journal entry to modernize your country like Russia would be cool. (With a unique name like "Khana Ratsadorn".
-Maybe if we are able to unite all Tai states, we should be able to form a new country with Pannationalism tech.
-Dealing with the French and the Brits should be more troublesome with an options to slice pieces of your country in order to maintain sovereignty.
-Phataya City still exists.
I hope my suggestions would help!
- Add in 7 new Siamese companies i.e. Chia Tai Chung (Charoen Pokkaphand), Jucker, Sigg & Co (BJC), Boon Rawd Brewery, ...
- Reworked all existing companies including B.Grimm to better reflects their role in development of Siam as a nation - note that company icon used are sometimes from their successor companies so the name might not 100% match here.
- Update the coding in general to the latest standard.
- Add additional starting techs for Siam, which are "Urban Planning", "Law Enforcement", and "Academia" (based on the status of Chatusadom system in early Rattanakosin era and the resurrection of Siamese Intellectual post-Ayutthaya collapse by Rama II & III era)
- As Religious School shouldn't have been assigned this early, Siamese literacy rate has instead been increased from baseline level to very low level (~11% at gamestart)
- Add in 4 additional historical Siamese Crown Princes from the 1890s-1920s period.
- Some clothing fixes for Siamese pop i.e. the Supreme Patriarch (Siamese Devout IG leader) now wears Maha Nikaya-coloured robes, Thai High female clothing for Middle and Upper Classes POPs.
- Update the coding in general to the latest standard.
- Bringing up the list of historical Siamese leaders and agitators up to 25, including Plaek Phibunsongkhram, Prince Damrong Rajanubhab, and more.
- Add 4 unique companies for Siam (Siam Cement, Bangkok Dock, Tanin, State Railway of Siam)
