Description
Western Clothes: Redux
Westernize your nation!

Coming from Adopt Western Clothes?
This mod is the new home for Snori's Adopt Western Clothes mod, as they have handed the torch off to me for future maintenance. There has been some minor overhauling/touching up of the mechanics, complete with game rules to preserve old behavior where applicable. Thanks for supporting an amazing mod, and I hope for your continued support for this one!

Quick Overview
Western Clothes: Redux (WCR) adds functionality for nations that start off unwesternized to westernize their characters and pops and have them wear European-style clothing.

Westernization is done primarily by taking a decision that unlocks once its requirements are met. Upon taking the decision, your country begins the westernization process, and all your characters and pops will wear western outfits.

Mod Compatibility
For users of blue0china's East Asian Clothes, please use East Asian Clothes Patch for compatibility.

WCR also comes in with built-in compatibility for Universal Names for tooltips and flavor text that include character names. No patch mods are required.

WCR also has special logic if the Community Outfit Mod is detected. If COM is installed and game rules don't prevent it, then westernized Korea and Japan will use the monarch uniforms provided by COM if they select their domestic designs when westernizing.

-----

WCR is designed to be compatible with other mods which make adjustments to pop and character clothing. However, due to Vic3 mod loading behaviors, mods that make changes to the following may or may not be incompatible:
• Accessories
• Clothes
• Hair
• Headgear
for characters and pops.

All other mods should work.

Loading Order
This mod works alone and may be placed anywhere.

If you're having troubles with getting the mod to work correctly with other mods, try placing this mod lower in (towards the bottom of) your mod playset.

For users of Universal Names, the placement of UN relative to WCR does not matter.

DLC Requirements
This mod does not rely on any DLC features for a majority of its functionality, so you should not need any DLCs.

Users with Sphere of Influence will gain the following additional features:
• Certain politicians will wear greatcoats during winter months, matching the behavior of greatcoats from the DLC
• The domestic style option for Persia will be available
• Uniforms transitioning to late era styles upon researching Bolt-Action Rifles. Countries with domestic styles will get fictional or vaguely historical late era styles as well if the appropriate game rule is enabled (except for Persia, who will always use them, as provided by the DLC).

After checking, I've confirmed the issue is caused by the [1.8] [Hiatus] East Asian Clothes Patch, not this mod. My apologies for the confusion

@Killer Queen
Can you tell me which country you are seeing this happen in?

What other mods do you have? Neither COM nor the Korea Uniform Pack mods add traditional Korean hats for the king or non-military pops.

Just reporting an issue: Company managers are now wearing beggar outfits. Is this intentional or a bug?

Hello! Thank you for the great mod.
However, in my case, both old-style and new-style outfits appear overlapping, as shown in the link.
I am currently using both the Community Outfit Mod and the Korea Uniform Mod.
I tried disabling both and running only the WCR mod, but the same issue still occurred.

That was a bug with the mod that got fixed with the update an hour ago. If it's still not working for you, try unsubscribing and then resubscribing to the mod to force Steam to download the latest version since Steam tends to be pretty bad with keeping workshop downloads up to date sometimes.

Yes but when i click begin westernize the progress has disappear and my pops dont change their clothes, its bug?

@letnanlight
With WCR installed & with the default settings, completing the Honorable Restoration as Japan will no longer automatically westernize your country.

Instead, you must start westernizing using the "Begin Westernizing" decision. With the default settings for WCR, you will be able to bypass the normal restrictions because you've completed the Honorable Restoration. You get to start westernizing for free because you completed the journal, essentially.

This behavior can be changed in the game rules to either exclude Japan (and Korea since they have a similar thing) from WCR, letting them instantly westernize as soon as the Honorable Restoration is complete, or remove the free pass from completing the Honorable Restoration and forcing you to do it the normal way.

Update pushed - the issue with the journal closing immediately should be resolved now. Sorry for the wait.

I just complete honorable restoration but why my pops dont change their outfit or why japan didnt westernize after honorable restoration?
