There is a problem. When I upgraded the skill in the "Blade Master" branch, this skill is 3 in number, and it's called something like "Blade Jerk or something like that." Roughly speaking, the first skill out of the 3 suggested ones. The bottom line is that, as the description says, I need to sit down and go to the side where I want to attack, while I have to attack the enemy, then I will make a dash back and forth to the original place, underwater and on land just does not work, the character just squats and that's it

i think it would be cool if it was unique recruit only, like artie dolittle, you got 1 blades man, if he dies it is over, no more swords man.

the event might be fixed with updating the outpostevents and specialnpcs files, or remove thos files to use the vanilla ones will fix the events most likely.

Is there a problem with this mod and pirate missions? A error message always shows up in the console whenever an outpost manager tries giving me pirate mission

I just downloaded this mod, and it's a pity that It has been discontinued. I read the complaints of the other guy that stole your mod and I couldn't believe it, it's just a toxic crazy guy that rant about your mod just because he felt like it. The mod is great, and I hope you come back to modding barotrauma, it's a great game with great people, you just came across the biggest jerk I've ever seen. Either you come back or not, It's a great mod and I hope you are doing well.

I've taken some time to think about things at school, and cooled off.
Whoever creates Blade Job 2, or Blade Job Rehashed from here on, is free to do whatever they want with the mod.
I hope one of you guys will perfect this mod sometime in the future, and honor its legacy by making it truly great.

The balancing is pretty rough on this one. Blade goes out alone, swims 500 meters from ship, swings at abyss creatures 2ce, and kills them.

Not recommended in multiplayer if you plan on playing anything else, because the blade can and will do it all!

Thief made some kind of "Samurai Class" to ripoff this mod.
Legit showed up, insulted, then stole it.
If you ask me, though. I guess it saves me from future updates, and future mod breaking game updates.

Someone already stole this mod anyway.
I've decided to move on from modding for this community after encountering one of the most toxic mod thieves out there.
Gonna go mod some other game, or make a game.

As for you, bingbong, maybe try checking out my High Frequency Blade Item.
It has an effect when you put a battery inside of it. Maybe you could use that as an effect to change the cosmetic?
Or try checking out other mods' items for examples to make a sheathe that updates when a katana is inside. Like something that starts glowing.

Hey man, i been trying to make a local mod (not planning on releasing or anything) that adds a sheath to this mod, basically the sheath is a container like a toobox but shaped like a sheath (or saya) i can place the katana in it just fine, but what im having trouble with is updating the sheath sprite to include the katana handle when the katana is inside the sheath, any ideas? thanks

Blade dash works in water but sadly does not actually charge you forward on land. I have to admit that water movement is useful though.

The sound of unsheating katana only happens on the first time during session then no longer happens... you could also add some voice sounds like HACHAAA, YAAAA SHHHHHHH like samurai plus a normal samurai sword with sheath, aweomse mod btw

Old saves will still work, and some things will be rebalanced, but you will need a new save to access the full overhaul.

Balancing updates.
Wandering Stranger(Tree) -> Warrior Spirit(Tree)
Multiple new perks and talents added.
A lot of balancing tweaks were made, and many abilities were nerfed.
Some weapons were nerfed, and recipes for 4 items changes.

Added HF Muramasa. Same overall materials and skill as HF Blade, but gives 20% attack speed boost instead of MCFC Electrolytes, and also has slightly longer attack range.

Added a "High Frequency Blade" and Energy Cores for endgame, which is really expensive, and also requires Energy Cores or other Power Sources. Mechanics are based off of the "Sword Core" mod by another person, and the Blade itself is inspired by Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Rebalanced some talents, and redid talent tree layout.
Also removed Diving Knife related skills, and some other unrelated skills.
BountyHunter tree was removed since a 4th tree was unnecessary.
Regular Katana was added to starting kit.
Massacre was added to BladeMaster tree as one of the 3 possible Ultimate Katana skills.
Changed Mad Slasher to "Mad Swordsman" and the 30% Diving Knife damage buff to Katana.
Max Blades was changed from 4 to 2.

Seems to be working fine for me, maybe you have some incompatible mods, or need to put it higher in the load order.
Like Jetstream Sam said though, to equip the katana without having a belt on, just equip it to the belt slot then double click it from the belt slot.

Class mod works but the katanas only equip as a belt slot and I can't seem to actually use them to attack.

Equipping a belt seems to fix this.

got same issues as DragonWings and James Carter, tho in addition to all that i'd suggesting lowering the recruit event spawn rate, i got it twice after traveling to 3 different outposts (including the one i started on)

Got 2 bugs at my side: 1, encountering the NPC in outpost will not display the text, it instead just display the value :eventtype:xxxxxx something with that. No text is shown.

2, not sure if this belongs to this mod, but theres an affliction [status effect] that is unrecognized.
sword_block_charged and swordp_block_charged.

Both status effects are not recognized

I think I may have found a bug regarding this mod, I noticed that the stations that I went to, most of them were not offering any quests. I went and tried a new run and the beginning station also did not offer any quests. Its only when I turned the mod off was when they would start giving out quests again. This was all tested on Multiplayer btw, hopefully this could be fixed, I really want to try out this job.

Added an acid variant to physicorium. It also attacks slightly faster than hardened/normal.
