I'll keep it in mind though, your use case. I can see how some would want this to be more finely controlled. I wish we could do polls or something as mod authors to get direct feedback like this. If a lot of people comment and want this mod to change like you've described I'd be open to making some time to change it. But at this time I will only update when the game updates break it.
If it does work, then I'll see about updating the versioning to make the error go away in the mod list, but if it doesn't work I'll need more time to update.
Not abandoned, should still work despite the warning. I tried after 1.2 dropped and it worked just fine. I can update the versioning sometime when I get a chance. However, if it is not working now after a recent patch I will look into it as well. Are you having issues running it now?
For the record this mod still works in the beta and current version of the game despite the error it gives. Will update when 1.2 drops!
I am thinking though this might cause some side effects with split states / colonies in that once a nation incorporates they get a claim on that state. So if there is a split state colony then you will see more wars to retake claimed states from either side.
Just for clarification would you want AI to have a chance to make the same decision as what is currently possible? Or would you want a second decision added where it is still only player triggered but does it for all other AI nations?
I think the second option above would be more in line with my current modding capabilities and it gives the player control of when and if it happens in their game. What do you think?
@zeem12 Yeah its def possible but I don't think I'd cover that in the scope of this mod. I'm thinking about adding a new state action that does the same thing, but on a state by state basis instead of all provinces at once. Maybe I could add a small chance the AI uses it during that, but for the most part this mod is so you have an advantage in the construction and recruiting modifiers over the ai. Thanks for the input though its greatly appreciated! I am having a lot of fun modding.
But in reality this is quite unrealistic since it takes "some" time for a nation to absorb a province from a different state, especially if there is a big political, cultural or economic gap between both.
Just remind how many years were necessary for Federal Republic of Germany to absorb the former DDR...
