There's a section in the description that talks about this, but basically it will work everywhere except for the focuses that effects vehicle designer vehicles (boats, planes, tanks)
You have an option event at the start of the game to disable all the "weird stuff", which includes the fleshtech and stuff
thank you so much man
I'd like to have some more details, but one of the things to keep in mind is that the mod/game checks cirka every month if you fulfill the requirements. Might be a different issue tho
It's been a while since last I tested it, but it might have some incompatibilities with newer DLCs. Might. I don't know, as I don't have those DLCs (and I'm not in a position where I can buy more)
are there things not working?
if it's related to the newer DLCs, I'm not sure if I'll be able to fix that, as I don't have those
that's weird. I thought there was nothing wrong with it. The event ID is "ogf_event.2", and the corresponding text below varies depending on what relationship you have to the state that deployed it (or if you were the one to deploy the bear)
also in the focus tree, the popup event will appear 1-3 days after you complete the focus
probably yes but i just don't remember
is there something not working with the focus tree that needs to be fixed? I haven't really seen any issues myself, but, I also don't have the latest dlc either
Apologies, but I don't have the DLC and don't have the money to spare, so, I can't really do anything about it currently.
I don't know what that is. Has it been added in a recent dlc I don't have?
The text you have to put into the console to re-fire the event is: "event ogf_event.1"
I'll put this in the FAQ as well
As long as you credit me, by all means, go for it :)
Thank you again for the great mod!
alright, so I've checked things here and there, and can now explain what's going on. It appears that the "mechanized rocket artillery" equipment doesn't actually have it's own unit, but rather, it too is included in motorized rocket artillery units automatically (check the 'equipment' button in the division designer when a motorised rocket artillery unit is present).
The reasoning for this (I assume) is because otherwise the new equipment won't benefit from the rocket-related buffs in the tech three.
There *is* also a little hiccup here. I think the game doesn't automatically render motorised rocket art. obsolete, which might have added to the confusion.
Apologies for the confusion
In the "major projects" branch, there is a focus about getting new equipment technology. You will get an event with different options. The options available to you depend on which technologies you have. The mechanized rocket equipment is part of this. To have it available as an option, I'm pretty sure you just need to have motorised rocket equipment researched first
How do I get the 'mechanized rocket equipment' to show up in the division designer? I don't see it in "Mobile Combat Support Battalions" nor in the "Armored Battalions"
but yea, generally, technologies can't be previewed through focuses, sadly. I think I'm able to add a custom tooltip though, which could help explain things.
On top of the technologies I explained below, there are a few more scattered about, specifically 4 in the major projects branch. The one about new equipment. The focus gives you an event where you can choose between up to four options, but the options are not available if you don't have the required techs:
- infantry equipment 4 (needs infantry eq. 3)
too expensive to mass-produce for the entire army, but could benefit elite troops.
- mechanized equipment 3 (needs mechanized eq. 2)
just an upgraded version, basically
- mechanized rocket equipment (needs motorised rocket equipment)
basically an armored version
- transport plane 2 (always available)
double the range, higher speed, defense, and has air attack. Cheaper too
there are more technologies as well, but they're kinda secret
comment character limit is hindering me from giving you a full explanation, but I'm happy to inform you of the technologies you were curious about:
The 'wonder weapons' focus gives you either a tech boost, or late-game technologies. One of those technologies are modded in (the others are the super heavy tank and modern tank chassis). The modded in tech is called "big bertha", and it's basically a very powerful (yet expensive) artillery equipment.
The army branch has a few technologies. Most of them are just small bonuses. The conscript branch gives you techs that reduce infantry combat width, the anti-tank+anti-air branch gives a tech that reduces their combat width, and one of the tank branches has a tech that reduces tank supply consumption by a whopping 25%!
No problem at all. Finishing the branch in the bottom left allows you to create a faction
Thank you, and good luck with your future games!
