Bog is too cramped for them, and if they were intended to spawn there, they would already in vanilla- A cool location for promotional art is not indicative of intent. You can always make your own spawn INI to add them there if you want, though

Since the free DLC dinos are a much smaller scale, I'll likely do one for all of those. But the larger DLCs are an obscene amount of work for effectively nothing, so that's unlikely..

*unless* this terribly hacky idea that exploits a devkit bug can work. maybe there's a way to do it without needing manual input fighting the laggy jank of enormous structs. maybe.

Just to put in perspective how this would look from the modding end; merging the PGDs would be days upon days of crawling up and down- Currently 5, but with all planned mods (CI, griffins and deinons, Scorched, Ab, Ext and Island), 11 separate sets- totalling hundreds of entries. Across 100+ containers, i'd need to make sure each is entered only once in the resulting mod, and there is no easy way to check that, i have to scan them all by eye. Which is especially painful because i have to collapse and open them all to do so every time i add an entry, or scroll down a gargantuan list and try not to miss any text boxes in amongst the thousands of other text boxes

Having multiple mods compared to one doesn't change anything, load time, mod size etc is still practically the same- Especially in the case of these mods, which are already only a fraction of a MB, even combined; so at worst, there's really no difference. In fact, better for users, since having it modular vastly reduces the amount of creatures people would need to remove otherwise if they only care about, say, LI's creatures and not the 30 or so in Gen2

Hey, would it be possible to create ONE single mod that would add all DLC dinos to all the maps?
I know this is a big ask, but that would be awesome. Maybe including the R and X variants as well. I would prefer to have 1 mod than 5+ mods on my server :)

that's a vanilla spawn, so yes, that's unaffected
though I do have a suspicion that their vanilla spawns don't work if singleplayer settings are enabled. Not related to this mod, though- a vanilla bug

Use https://ark.wiki.gg/wiki/Carcharodontosaurus#The_Center-0 for vanilla spawns

Deinonychus are more timely and complex to set up since I need to choose and test multiple nests locations on every map

If you're in SP and don't want to have to search your load order for the mod each time, you could try configsubtractnpc (i've heard mixed reports of it working on mod dinos or not). if it doesn't work, i could probably look at configs but they wouldn't be able to work until a kit update due to some things that carchar's release broke with spawns

Wait for them to respawn. that's what the command does, it removes the wild dinos so that the game can spawn new ones
Corrupted variants are cool but also would be far more complicated (especially getting into whether they should be tameable), so while I like the idea it'd be *very* far down an already long list of planned variants
