( I use a biotech patch that can make mech priorise tasks, and its not the fault, just to be clear )
FripouilleSaharienne 15 Jun @ 6:33am
It says " can't do : will never do repairing "

It's alright, I just have to remember to disable autorepair on the Fabricors and they won't make my game crash... usually. :steammocking: I have so many mods I don't know what could cause it, and I am way too lazy to find one... Could Mech work priorities mod, or whatever it is called, cause it, possibly? That's the only one I can think of... But then again, I enabled it recently, yet the Fabs have been self-repairing way longer than that, so... I doubt it.

Yes, it's crashing when mechs are self-repairing. That's why it was disabled in the code. Maybe something changed and my check is not working or you have some mod conflict I don't know about. I will check it later.

Hi! @Witek, when you say "it cannot repair itself", do you mean it actually can't, or that when it does try to, it crashes the game? Because I have the latter of these happening... I like this mod, a lot, but that is one thing that has made me consider disabling it permanently. I almost always play as a solo mechanitor, so they won't have the time to repair all the mechs... Mostly.

Could you please patch this to work with the mod Ferret's Mechanitor Worktype?
Witek  [author] 9 Aug, 2024 @ 2:47am
Yes, the mod doesn't explicitly specify a type of mech allowed to get repair jobs, so any with fabrication skill should do. The only restrictions are that it cannot be damaged while getting repair job, and cannot repair itself.

Hello, can I understand that as long as the Mech has the same working ability as Fabricors, it can repair other Mechs?
Doc Cams 5 Jul, 2024 @ 6:55am
Tiered mech works, on the mech tab just click auto-repair and it should work. If it doesnt, move this mod near the top of the mod list

Up on not working with tiered mechs.
i will try loading this above tiered mechs and lets see what happens
Witek  [author] 7 Jun, 2024 @ 9:11am
Should be higher than crafting jobs. I tested it on clean 1.5, without other mods so maybe it's some kind of conflict. Try to put this mod on top of your list and check if it works then.

is repairing a lower priority than working? I haven't seen them trying to repair any of my mechs yet.

From what I can tell the author just added "repair mechs" in the smithing mechanoid work type. So it allows ANY mech that can smith to repair mechs now: which also means if you can give mechs this kind of skill (like using mech Modifications) it will also retroactively allow that mech to repair as well. Which is nice.

Interesting. I'll try and see, I am under the impression I started with tiered mechs, yes.
But I will test and let you know asap.
Witek  [author] 9 May, 2023 @ 11:28am
It could be conflicting with something else, not necessarily Tiered Mechs. On new save with only Harmony and Tiered Mechs it's working correctly. Are you playing on new save or have you added mods during gameplay?

I can second the not working with Tiered Mechs.
shiva chirr 22 Jan, 2023 @ 1:14pm
werid did not seem to be working wiuth tiered mechs higher level faberactors had to make the base game ones to work
Witek  [author] 22 Jan, 2023 @ 4:05am
@shiva chirr It's working with Tiered Mechs as far as i'm aware of. It should be compatible with all new mechs that are capable of "crafting" worktype.
shiva chirr 18 Jan, 2023 @ 10:18pm
any chance this can be patched for modded fabicators like the tierd mech mod

THANK YOU

I NEEDED THIS SO BADLY.

MY GOD

@Witek awesome, thanks for the fix. i dont mind that at all - better to have to manually repair one mech than all of them!
Witek  [author] 15 Nov, 2022 @ 3:45pm
@dog with afro thanks for pointing this out. I have found that those crashes occurs when repairing fabricor is damaged - it doesn't matter if it's self repairing or repairing other mech. For now I have disabled repairing feature for damaged fabricors - they will only try to repair other mechs if they have full HP themselves.
Nate 15 Nov, 2022 @ 2:11am
No harmony log because the game will crash, but if a fabricator is repairing itself and it runs out of energy the game goes kaput and crashes

Additionally, it might be caused when a mech is repairing itself and has run out of power (or is at the point in its energy level that it wants to go charge... but is repairing itself) and you select it via the mech list menu thing.

I was an unlucky man and it autosaved right as the mech was repairing itself and was almost out of charge, so I had to remove the mod for now.

Other than that bug, awesome mod! I'm glad you made it. Fabricators should be able to repair mechs lol
