Hey, would you mind porting Jersey? The non-glamour model?
Mr. Dude  [author] 4 Mar, 2015 @ 12:55pm
Yeah. I learned how to fix that long after I was done with her. I might fix it sometime.

I'd like to use this model, but the normals are all screwy.

Makes it impossible to light it properly.

How long do you want to bet until some horndog decides to come around and get a nude model set up for this that doesn't match her proportions at all?

Ah I got ya. I don't use WallWorm to export SMDs, they never work for me. I use Wunderboys SMD Exporter.

Sorry I'm obviously not explaining myself very well. I'm not importing your Snow model, I'm working on a new one. I used ttarchext to get the game files (d3dtx, d3dmesh and the skl files) and imported them into Max with RandomTBush's Telltale importer script

The materials/UV are fine and I can see the bones in Max as well as their weights on the mesh but when I export using Wall Worm Model Tools and open the model in HLMV/SFM the bones are missing aside from ones (which aren't in Max) at the base named after the meshes

Are you doing something to the bones (besides renaming) before exporting? I'm not very familiar with Max so I'm probably just doing something dumb
Mr. Dude  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 8:13pm
What are you using to decompile it and what are you using to import to Max?
unconscionable jelly 20 Jul, 2014 @ 7:43pm
i'm working in 3dsmax i just wish i could work in blender is all
Mr. Dude  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 7:42pm
If you're doing Blender stuff, I can't help. Blender is alien to me.
unconscionable jelly 20 Jul, 2014 @ 7:28pm
did you do something to the imported skeleton before exporting besides renaming the bones? when i export all i get is a bunch of unconnected bones at the base of the model named after the meshes

oh how i wish i could work in blender

Thats exactly what I used. Snow's UV was fine but everyone elses was fucked. UVW Xform > U Tile at 1.99 is usually fine. If that doesn't work V Tile at 1.99 should work. Its not perfect either way but its close enough.

Great model. Thanks for porting her over (hope to see more TWAU in time).

Question though: Did you use the tools recently released on Xentax? If so, how did you fix the UV mapping issue? Supposedly fiddling with UVW Xform can fix it but I apparently haven't fiddled the proper settings :(

Initially when I downloaded the model, the face had the same textures as the mouth. I went into the materials folder of the model and looked at the vmt of her head, and it looked like the vmt text for the mouth was on top of the vmt text for the head. Also the eyes seem to lack pupils.
Mr. Dude  [author] 20 Jul, 2014 @ 11:38am
I get the mouth thing, I just updated it to fix that (My dumb ass forgot to check their mouths) but I don't get what you mean about textures. Does it happen when you change skins? Either way I don't have this problem on my end.
Blue Rum 20 Jul, 2014 @ 2:15am
The textures on her face are swapped with the textures for her mouth which looks like a vmt problem. Also the bottom lip stretches and is attached to the top lip whenever you try to move the mouth bones (your Bluebeard and Bloody Mary does this as well). Other than that it's a fantastic looking model :D. I hope you're able to fix the mouths.
