Hoping this mod gets updated to 1.6, it's my favorite RimWorld mod. Tried using it and while it doesn't cause any errors, it doesn't work.

@Rowan Skye In my experience this only seems to happen with lights that are off-screen when the alert ends.

Sometimes the light is stuck on red alert even after all enemies are down, especially late-game.

Also, ever thought about making the alert toggle gizmo icon just transparent?

Getting a recurring error when Optimizing Textures in Rimsort: PNG Decoding error C:\Gaming\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2897048164\Textures\UI\alert_toggle.png -> Could not read header data of C:\Gaming\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2897048164\Textures\UI\alert_toggle.png: invalid signature

Doesn't seem to have any ingame effect that I've noticed so far, though.

Dark light? Simply resetting the color with the color menu works the same! 😮 Oh well thanks for the reply 😊

Known issue, though i dont really know what causes it for certain. for now can be pretty easily fixed by just toggling darklight mode on and off to reset them all to default color. its on the list of things for the next update, though given i am currently unemployed i cannot pay taranchuk to do that yet

Why is it that the red light doesn't change back after a threat sometimes? Is that just me or is it known and fixable? 😄

Great adding to combine with Combat AI 5000 (or another fog of war mod) and Block Unwanted Minutiae for a real spooky in the moment raid encounter. It can make things significantly harder though, so I'd recommend having a start of day save or something like that, unless you're down to lose everything like I am.

When i load my save every compatible light turned to respond turns red. It can be fixed fast by reenabling them.

Using this with all "threat big" letters disabled is far more immersive imo. Especially with fog of war and fire control computers.

Thanks for maintaining this over the years. It's an extraordinarily minor bug—it doesn't stop anything else from being optimized. No damage, it just tosses an error message into the mod manager log. Every. Single. Time.

Luckily OCD is not a thing amongst Rimworlders....... :)

I've got a silly bug for you!

It seems that the file "2897048164\Textures\UI\alert_toggle.png" is living a lie—it’s not a PNG at all. It’s actually a JPEG in disguise!

This causes Texture Optimization to fail in mod managers such as RimSort. Please fix it before it applies for witness protection as a TIFF next.

If I could make a suggestion, I would like control over what events trigger red alert, of if they are automatically triggered at all. Red alert seems like an over reaction to a single mad boomalope

The aforementioned error happens consistently ( like pretty much every raid ) when you have the LightsOut mod ( which has lights turn off when a pawn leaves the room ). Perhaps you could use that to help you reproduce the error.

yeah i think its time i start using one type of light. Its a bit annoying doing it all wall lights, and bedside lights, and standing lights

i think, and huge emphasis on think, tha its caused by enemies getting back up right after being downs, then being downed again too quickly. nobody has gotten me a conclusive error log from it happening, and i have found that extremely hard to intentionally reproduce

@KawwaK There's the mod Better Pawn Control that lets you set outfits, zones and schedules during alerts. Combined with the mod Run and Hide let's you make it so when a pawn is in danger or an alert happens they should all handle it safely with the non-combat pawns hiding and your combat ones gearing up.

Such a great mod idea!
I'd like to have the option to set the allowed area for all colonists to "Interior" when the alarm sounds. "Interior" would be a zone where you select the interior or safe areas of your base.
Also having the option to choose the sound between alarm/bells so it can be used in a medieval run.

Great mod. Found by accident but subbed because who doesn't love the red alert status from sci-fi films! Hopefully one day someone makes a patch for CAI-5000's fog of war.

I'm not sure if it's a mod conflict, but turning off the siren in the settings doesn't work. Same with some of the light settings. But I assume it's a mod conflict, idk.

For the love of god, add a volume slider. Love this mod and it's concept, but it is SO. FUCKING. ANNOYING. I shouldn't have to turn my volume down just to deal with raids.

Hey there, I don't have any error on the debug logs. Just issues with color change from the alert not always back to normal color. I try to only toggle alerts on lights that don't switch off auto (with the light out mod).
