Still a lot of placeholder textures and geometry but hopefully people will enjoy!
Yeah that's a MCC bug where it shows the wrong keybinds. I can't fix it unfortunately, it was reported but as support has mostly ended it will probably never be patched. Very frustrating.
Repaired in what sense? It works?
I did look at the map when it came out, but I feel it would need a lot of reworking. The spaces are very open and there are no real structures on the map, which means the player would be under a lot of fire, and also mean short range weapons aren't really viable.
I do still want to add new maps, but I do not have time at present to look further into this.
Because there is no engine support for this. Single player has a hacky workaround which will not work in co-op.
The game engine does not want to do ANY of this stuff.
Ultimately there are limits in what any modder can do unless the engine is changed.
It's yet another 343i bug where it shows the wrong keybinds. Default controls for PC:
E - next menu entry
1 - previous menu entry
LMB/F - Opens selected menu or adjusts chosen option
RMB - Goes back one menu level, or completes game setup if you are in the parent gametype customisation menu.
knowing 343i i kinda doubt they'll even fix it, they'd rather add more overpriced items to infinite
Ask 343i to fix, it's their bug introduced after I released this. If I could fix this, I would.
This is kinda bullshit to navigate and i can't see anything.
@SR388 - I'll look into that when I have time. Part of the problem is that really for co-op stuff I'd need 2 machines to be able to debug, so a way of running in split screen would be ideal.
I have some ideas on what I can do to improve this.
I've also added a new game mode Pink Mist, which Needler fans may enjoy, as well as 2 custom weapons in the Energy Sword and Sentinel Beam. These are completely optional if players prefer a more vanilla experience.
I would also like to thank Ruby of Blue for making the Energy Sword, Sentinel Beam, and Wraith assets available. Ruby has advised that both Mynameislol and Markel contributed significantly to these assets. A big thank you to all three for making their work available to the community.
Are you using custom keybinds? Due to (another) bug in MCC, the keybinds shown are incorrect, so if you try to use the keys the game engine shows they won't work. Default keys are in the documentation.
Again, both of these are 343i bugs which I cannot fix.
This is literally discussed right below your first comment.
This cannot be fixed until 343i fix the bug they introduced.
343i broke this. It has been reported to them. I cannot make them patch the game to fix this.
Fix for what?
No way to fix this until 343i fix the bug they introduced unfortunately. The documentation can give you the menu options and layout though, and it should be possible to read which option is currently highlighted even if part of the text is cut off.
Define fixing? If there's something broken and it is possible for me to fix, I will fix it. The biggest problems people have are due to 343i bugs which I can't do anything about.
If you mean improving co-op, I would like to try but I don't have time at the moment.
This mod is perfectly playable in single player.
Unfortunately this is the result of 343i introducing a bug causing line breaks to not work last summer. It was reported but will need them to fix.
There are several other bugs such as the game displaying the wrong keybind for these strings, these have again been reported, but with the lack of development this may take a long time, if it ever does get fixed.
Very annoying bugs, but I can't do anything about it. I even tried looking to see why the normal campaign is not affected, and the answer seems to be that it processes built in MCC strings differently, compared to taking the data from the map file like the game does here.
