@Clousu remove default entities. I just tried that and i can make multiple human forts but also appears that humans are now the only playable race. Gonna do some testing and see if it causes bugs.

It is an interesting bug that you can only make one human town per world. Once you retire or abandon a town, you don't get the option to make a new human one. All available civs are dwarven again.

Mod does not work with adventure mode beta branch
Teirdalin 28 Oct, 2024 @ 6:36am
I like the idea of this mod but why make minecarts impossible to craft?
Obsidious 19 Oct, 2024 @ 10:40am
@8 you click the up arrow next to it in the mod menu, after putting it in your loaded list on the right using the right arrow. You could also lower vanilla entities, or presumably remove vanilla entities and re-add it using the left and right arrows on the screen.

im having trouble getting this mod to work, how do i get it above vanilla entities?
mdk31 4 Mar, 2024 @ 3:32pm
@Mercury - I read the raws, the nobles and recipes have been added to the humans.
Mercury 27 Feb, 2024 @ 3:17pm
Does nobility work? cuz if you just make humans playable they still have no nobility and are missing several recipes
A Calm Dragon 21 Feb, 2024 @ 6:21pm
Can you reduce the negative thought for being caught in the rain?

Why does this mod completely redefine the dwarven, elves, and humans civilisation?
pugmugdug 30 Jul, 2023 @ 10:19pm
I can't make pig iron, and this is, I assume, the only mod that would conflict with that?
^-^ 11 May, 2023 @ 2:23am
Human civ is missing [TOOL:ITEM_TOOL_MINECART] so cannot build minecarts, if you want them have to add that Steam\steamapps\common\Dwarf Fortress\data\installed_mods\Human_town (1)\objects\entity_default.txt for [ENTITY:PLAINS]

Seems this needs to be done before world gen.
PlatypusOfDoom 18 Feb, 2023 @ 6:58pm
(cont. from below) I'm assuming that some people probably picked a human civ that generated from the "vanilla" parameters without realizing it, and therefore couldn't assign nobility.

In the classic version, playing a Human fort was as easy as adding SITE_CONTROLLABLE to the entities text file under the human entry, so I'm not sure if the removal of the vanilla nobility titles was a bug or an oversight for the Steam release. You could probably just remove vanilla_entities from the load order completely to prevent the issue. Alternatively, just make sure you're playing as one of the human civs that has a "Padeshah" listed as their ruler and the nobility titles seem to function as intended.
PlatypusOfDoom 18 Feb, 2023 @ 6:57pm
I just figured out why some people are having issues with not being able to assign nobles. I noticed that about half the human civs in my worlds are ruled by a Padeshah (which is a position that was created by this mod), and the other half of them are ruled by a Law-Giver (which is the name of the human's ruler position in the vanilla game). I realized that when I play a civ with a Law Giver, I can't assign nobles. I'm assuming the issue lies with including vanilla_entities at all, even when it is included AFTER this mod.

It looks like the game is treating the Humans from this mod and the Humans from vanilla as two separate types of civs when you include both files, and is generating both types in the same world. Since the vanilla entities file doesn't include the regular human nobility positions for whatever reason (they're literally just missing), it would make sense that you can't assign nobility when playing as a one of those civs.

@r4d6 This must be a problem with the world creation: make sure the mod is on top the vanilla entities.
Aether 1 Feb, 2023 @ 4:14pm
The fact that you can't assign Nobles to humans mean that a human fortress is essentially impossible.
Aether 26 Jan, 2023 @ 9:28am
@Author.txt I have the same issue too.
Sorunily 20 Jan, 2023 @ 12:54pm
Anyone else having the issue where everyone has the same hair? I've tried reinstalling and even using a different human fort mod and they still remain with the exact same hair.
PersephonesPoms 11 Jan, 2023 @ 9:43am
I'm having an issue where the nobles & administrators tab is entirely empty. Has anyone encountered this before & know how to fix it?

allso for work orders stuff in same world go to data installed mods and update that pacage. only thing you need a new world for is if your addidn mods to the world not updateing or tweaking old ones
Lizy_Sticks 19 Dec, 2022 @ 6:41pm
@mich i had to mod in the stoneminecart mod and make humans make them 2 its someing form defult df all the humans/elf+mods have this ishue
Pama  [author] 19 Dec, 2022 @ 5:38pm
@Michiko I'm sorry but nope. Once you create a world, the entity_default stays. The only way is to create a new world
ari 19 Dec, 2022 @ 2:09pm
i can't seem to choose a human civilization anymore after retiring the first fort in a world. bug?
Michiko 19 Dec, 2022 @ 7:50am
I was about to report the same thing. Also stepladders apparently. :o
Lizy_Sticks 18 Dec, 2022 @ 5:50pm
humans cant make mine carts ?
Michiko 17 Dec, 2022 @ 10:46am
I figured out a bandaid fix for my situation. I overwrote the vanilla file with the file from this mod heheh. Not ideal and I'll need to restore a backup when I generate a new world but it'll work for me for now.

Really enjoying the mod and didn't want to have to start over just for coke production.
Michiko 17 Dec, 2022 @ 6:53am
Ah yeah maybe. I must've missed that step in the description. Is there a way to do that with an ongoing world, or do I need to start over?
Pama  [author] 17 Dec, 2022 @ 6:39am
@Michiko Have you tried removing the "vanilla entities" from the mod list? That may be what causes the problem
Michiko 17 Dec, 2022 @ 5:12am
Tried out the latest update, but unfortunately it didn't seem to work. I tried unsubscribing and resubscribing too. Coke processing doesn't even show up from work orders. D:
Pama  [author] 17 Dec, 2022 @ 4:28am
@michiko Had some problems to get it working, but I thought it would be fixed at this point.
I'll check it out again.

P.D: Thanks!
Michiko 17 Dec, 2022 @ 1:19am
@Leonardo d20
Yeah you need to do that when you add pretty much every mod except for a few types. You add mods at world generation (for some reason) with a mods button down there as you generate the world.
Leonardo d20 16 Dec, 2022 @ 2:09pm
Will I need to generate a new world to use this?
Michiko 16 Dec, 2022 @ 12:50pm
I can't seem to make coke with bituminous coal at all for some reason.

Great mod btw!
Pama  [author] 11 Dec, 2022 @ 2:35am
@SilverBullet Basically reverse cave adaptation: Humans start to puke and moving real slow if they don't see the sun for a week or two.
SilverBullet 10 Dec, 2022 @ 11:40pm
is there any negative effect for living in underground too long?
Sunshine 9 Dec, 2022 @ 3:59pm
@ Miga

you should be able to go into edit file upload and find a banner upload.
Pama  [author] 9 Dec, 2022 @ 10:10am
@Stokelings9701 Yes, they do.
Stokeling9701 9 Dec, 2022 @ 9:10am
do they have working nobles?
Pama  [author] 9 Dec, 2022 @ 12:21am
@'Durins Bane I don't know how to add a thumbnail. First time uploading a mod and the Workshop is still a bit confusing to me haha.
Sunshine 8 Dec, 2022 @ 5:29pm
Works just as well as you'd expect. Human Nobility mirrors Dwarven Nobility so you're capable of running a fortress like usual but now you get some tall boys & exotic weapons in the mix. Hope you like Surface farming boys. Lmao

@ OP (Miga)

You should give this mod a thumbnail btw. You'll get more interest that way.
Pama  [author] 8 Dec, 2022 @ 4:49am
yes, humans are able to make steel.
Wasabi Cracker 8 Dec, 2022 @ 4:47am
is steel a thing?
