@DarthBrawn As mentioned at the top of the description, they need to have the trade tag animalfarm.

Based on the description, we should be able to breed and harvest thrumbos and elephants at the ranch, right? It's not possible currently; would it be a big effort to add that in?

do the animals actually reproduce in the outpost? id like to make warg breeding centers that i could pull from whenever i need to reinforce.

Thanks for the answer, I verified it.
1. only one type of animal can be raised in one place
2. can collect eggs or milk products, but animals will not increase their numbers to obtain slaughter products

2. probably not, seems strange to ranch non breeding animals
3. as mentioned in the description, animals just need the animalfarm trade tag

Does it work with multiple type animals in one location at the same time?
Does it work with asexual animals?
Does it work with animals from other mods (like Alpha Animal)

@[JdG] Pejman Looked into it and the issue is caused by Vanilla Outposts Expanded: Additional Outposts since it patches in the chooseFromlayouts-property without checking if it already exists. If they add a conditional patch there instead and add it only if chooseFromlayouts does not exist it will not cause issues.

huh, did the basegame change thrumbos? I know I had thrumbo ranches before, and I don't seem to be able to make them now (and yes I have a breeding pair in the caravan). I don't *think* any mods I had or have change thrumbos...

@dergrossadmiral There has been no change to the mod regarding what animals you can farm. That is defined by the base-game

I wonder, is there a way to have the outpost request a small stipend of silver to be maintained? Maybe something like a very small fraction of the total value of pawns at the site or whatever. Having it be a completely autonomous free input of sources does feel like a tough add. Thanks for updating though!

I sent out a caravan with Musk Oxen from VE: Animals and established an outpost, and while I can select most other animals, I can't actually ranch the musk ox at my outpost. Is that normal behavior?

I'd say at least have the Animal skills perhaps high enough to tame the animal in normal cases, but otherwise, I believe it's generally slow in the first place.

thx but I do. Create a caravan with 5 trumbos (2male, 3 feamle) and 3 pawn with animal skill > 15. Maybe i need only 2 trumbo (male&female)?
