As far as I know, the majority of narrow gauge (1,067mm) trains in TpF are customized to standard gauge, not only in Japan, but also in Taiwan, Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia (Queensland) and etc...
Unlike many countries in Europe and America, narrow gauge trains in those countries and regions are de facto standard gauge trains.
However, if I can find an idea for simple switching between both physical standard and narrow gauge, I would like to try it with my mod someday.

@maya
Here's an example of a narrow gauge track mod:

Due to the convenience of the TPF's track system, only standard gauge is making for now. In some other games, such as TS Classic, it will be available in narrow gauge.

Can I make metre gauge versions of your Mods?

But as an option, you could place the sound mod somewhere other than steam, giving a download link.

But I hope that you will create a new sound for Japanese trains based on the sounds from the videos (well, at least YouTube). And I know about the inconsistency of the Japanese. I do not know what caused it, but there are individuals who simply do not accept the dialogue. Looks like hara-kiri is waiting)))

I try not to violate any conventions in my sound itself, and I am still very ambitious in my sound creation. However, I have decided that the peculiar way of thinking of Japanese modders is risky. Some of them emotionally delete or privatize their work when a dispute arises, or worse, block it and refuse to even have a dialogue. I know of several Japanese, though not all, who have acted in this manner.
Even if I were to re-release a sound mod, it is unlikely that I would base it on a mod made by Japanese people (including those who understand this system), given the risk that my mod could cause that. I am very sorry.

I don't think you're violating rights by adding your own sounds. This can be applied to the user as it is he who will apply the sound, but this is unprovable, from the point of view of law. As such, there are no intellectual rights to the sound. this is the sound of the composition and it is processed by the program of a particular author. You posted your sound. Whether or not to use it with the model is the decision of the end user. But as an option, create a real sound of Japanese trains. And don't be afraid to record the sounds of the lineups. There are a lot of smart people here, but as it comes to a dispute, their evidence becomes insignificant, unless it is the author of the original music. The sound of the composition does not apply to those, it was not developed by the authors of the mod model. They only used it for their model in their processing (distorted sound)

My existing sound mods are dependent on mods from other authors, and it has become difficult to provide them long term due to difficulties in contacting many of the authors, etc. It is sad that you will no longer be able to hear the sounds, but for safety reasons we have had to remove all sound mods.
My own mods will continue to use custom sounds. I also plan to create a generic mod that replaces the vanilla sound set with a Japanese style and will be one of the means to hear sound again (like Jay_'s Train Sound Mod).

Your mods related to sound have disappeared in my game: passenger, JNR 101,103,115, 205, 213, 209,217,231,221,223, kiha 80, company HIM. 1. Why did you remove them 2. Should I wait for them or should I reconfigure the game?

@kasperhkj
Hello. I removed all my sound mods from the workshop on April 23 for various reasons. You can safely revert to the default sound by disabling and loading. However, some mods may be silent.

Sorry that I'm asking in the wrong place, but what happened to all your sound mods? They won't activate in the game and they're not in the workshop anymore.
