I've been waiting to test it until after I get that AI-boosting DLC. What exactly needs updating? Is it broken in base game? I do all my testing in EaW for the record...

uh, he hasn't said that, and actually has said it isn't, though I'll say it literally is last time I used it aside from not working for the nationalist ideology group, never caused a game crash but maybe md updated since then

I imagine it could be a change in load order logic, that was always something that was sketchy with this mod. I know for sure it's happy with EaW, but other mods are luck of the draw really.

I haven't tried out the new dlc yet. I'll definitely fix once I do.
What makes you say it broke? No war despite sustained 100% World Tension? The mod was meant to be quite resilient to updates

It's just a little complex. EaW works because supremacy and harmony are literally just reskins of fascism and democracy - I have no clue how I could work with a fifth ideology. It may be as simple as just copypasting a code block and putting "nationalism" where idk "democracy" is - or it could be far more complicated.

I think to work with md all you'd have to do is add the nationalist ideology to the mod because that was the only one that it didn't already work for when I tested it awhile back

Its okay, im just gonna stay sad x.x Hey at least it works for EaW which is my second favorite mod so thats something I can work with haha

but yeah I wish there would be a version for MD too since all the Chaos AI mods from the past all dont work anymore. I'd be fine if all it does it make the AI war each other when possible

There is some chaos mod but its just stupid sadly x.x also its fine no need to rename it, your description makes it clear its meant for EaW and base ideologies :)

I was considering doing that - but I decided against it. I mainly use this mod alongside EaW, and it - along with most other mods - contains a storyline that has to advance. This involves a long period of peace at the start.

If you initiate war too early, you break plotlines etc. So the 100% WT limit has to stay.
TBH, I don't see many other places to update the mod atm. Maybe smarter, earlier cross-continental warfare, or efforts to contain major rivals - but that feels like a lot of effort for relatively little gain.

Probably my favorite quality of life mod, def makes the world way more dynamic. I play alot with the Rise of Nations mod, it doesn't overhaul mechanics just adds eras to the game and keeps the main 4 ideologies. Starts off in 1900, and then progresses to the 2000s, and every 20 years or so the eras change and all the focus trees swap out. But some eras don't have unique focuses for majors so this mod helps the world progress with the down time. I know its a fairly simple mod but I was just wondering if you have any future plans with it? Something small I would suggest is rather then all nations being able to only declare at 100 tension, what if it was set differently with ideologies. For example Fascists can declare at 25%, Commies at 50%, Non at 75% and dems at 100% (or really whatever numbers), just so 20 wars aren't all declared at the same time. But food for thought, just rlly curious if there's any other plans.

Yeah @Brallerin - the name is mainly a homage to the code of that MD mod, since it's based on it. I did make it to be compatible with basically every modpack that uses the 4 standard gov types, though i'll admit I have seen relatively little chatter on the modpack I actually use it in.

I think the speak of Millennium Dawn might be a misunderstanding around the mods name? There is a similar mod that's built specifically for MD, but is currently not up to date.

Thanks for your effort, although the mod is currently not working with latest version of the game and MD mod.
If you can alter something or if you can make a video on youtube or thread explaining how to modify the AI behavior into more hostile or chaotic we'd be thankful.

Would be convenient if you could update it to be fully compatible with Millennium Dawn. I guess it doesn't work with any nationalist country (ironically). But it would be cool to have it modified to work with suicidologies too. But if not, at least just nationalist countries

@ozzarkka It's just vanilla console commands. If you type "threat 90", and then "threat 50" into the console, it should set WT to >100. If no wars trigger, either the mod has weirdly high opinion across all nations, there's a bunch of independence guarantees, or they aren't compatible.

@QwAzEr911 It fails with Iron Curtain Cold War? Just wanting to confirm. It's literally as simple as me typing it into the dependencies to make it compatible lol, from my experience.

Good luck with it, Raven! Let me know what you think. The WT modification was 100% balanced to EaW, so you'll get the best results there with the submod - but it should work with others. How it's balanced outside of EaW will be down to luck.

Just found a bug in the peace-code that may make you lose territory mid-war if a RARE set of circumstances occur.
The peace code is tbh going to need a total revamp, I know how to fix it - but it'll take some tweaks.

as far as I can remember from one time playing around with some ideology cheats, democracy is renamed western, communism is renamed emerging, non aligned is still non aligned I think, and fascism became the salafist ideology, which I remember as being odd because the 5th one is nationalist ideology which has fascism as a subideology but that's the only one that didn't work with the ideology cheats I was messing with

If there's a new colour, I would imagine probably not. I very specifically had to hardcode democracy/fascist/communist/non-aligned - it should still work for THOSE ideologies, but the fifth would be completely unaffected. Assuming it isn't just a recolour of the same ideology (e.g. a sub-ideology)

the reason I ask is because the description for this only has values for the vanilla 4 ideologies, and millennium dawn adds a 5th (the other 4 are just renamed recolored vanilla ideologies), so I guess the more correct question would be does this mod work with non-vanilla ideologies?

It SHOULD be compatible, but the load order may be screwy. My recommendation is try a game as normal, and if it fails to proc at 100 WT, alert me and i'll add MD as a dependency. That seems to work as a bruteforce measure, the mod is fine with a theoretically infinite number of dependencies..

Been really enjoying the mod! I tend to be much more passive than a lot of HoI4 players so this injects a lot of chaos into the world around me, forcing me to react and interact. Plus gives me a lot of targets for Zebrican Intervention.

There have been a couple of weird effects, like Chital declaring war on me when we don't share a border instead of helping out his ally Sambal against the Doelhi Confederation, and I think the sudden rash of wars right at 100% WT might be a bit too sudden and early, but that's pretty small potatoes compared to the overall value of your mod.
