Actually forgot to reply, but anyway I wouldn't decrease variance - looking out of place may be a positive thing sometimes.
Ah, and the second pic in the gallery should provide all info you need on the Immortal Catas.
Maybe, just try. You can see at a glance in campaign if buildings mention his units too.
Of course I can't say no to that offer, as from what I recall we actually seemed to agree on a lot of general features and units.
Btw, I hope you didn't mind the revival of your Bosporus and Scourges or the mention in my Bithynian pack.
My regards!
I made a mod for the Eastern Empires (deleted off the steam workshop now though) way back before the Empire edition came out and recently found a backup i made of it (I thought I deleted all my Rome II mod files when i uninstalled it years ago). There's not much in it that you haven't covered in this mod (and others) already but i can share it with you if you're interested in picking out some stuff to use.
@ByzantineBasileus: I understand, but I opted for a balance choice. They are only recruitable for Atropatene.
I could however consider a solution working around the indian aor and the assumption that if your Arachosia/Bactria is powerful enough in the right side of the river, it will have acquired lands on the left bank of the Indus.
MY problem is that, since I mainly work with vanilla assets, making those new units visually correct or even interesting would be challenging.
Also a few rebalances here and there, details in the patch notes.
Still, I think at least one more higher-level spear unit will make Persia remain competitive when the AI factions are spamming Oathsworn and Praetorians.
