Seems cool! But I can't play as proper Persia that starts in Persepolis. What mod do you recommend me to use as "unlock all factions" for playing as Persia with these new persian units?

Hello, I`ve found a bug. I can recruit Cataphracts, Sparabara, Takabara and other units when i`m playing as Media Athropatene, but when i play as Media, Persia, Arachosia or other Eastern factions, i cannot recruit them at all, I can`t even see these units able to recruit in building table. How can i solve this problem?

The PersoHellenic Pikes have clipping spots on their shoulders.

So i found a data pack manager for Rome II, and i am customizing unit stats, but i have no idea how to change exclusive persmissions to each faction yet.

Nope. What you can do is manually add those missing units via exclusive permissions to each faction that was supposed to have them.

Tis a sad day, after a lot of troubleshooting i figured out that i can use either your mod "C & D Persian Factions" or " Sand Empires" & " Kings of East". I am missing out on 20 infantry and cavalry units with your mod's control over recruitment. Is there any way you would ever release a mod with just the "Persian Cataphracts" and "Immortal Cataphracts"?

Thanks for the reply. wow, i went straight from testing out you units in custom battles, then to the campaign. i forgot to check out your pics :O. Combined with "Kings of East" and "Sand Empires" mods, my unit roster is approaching 70 units for Persia.

Actually forgot to reply, but anyway I wouldn't decrease variance - looking out of place may be a positive thing sometimes.

I understand if you don't want to touch the variety of armors for you'r units, they look great. Can i get the Technology required for Persian Immortal Cataphracts, and does this make them available for a General Bodyguard Unit?

Great Mod, the units look really good. Would it be possible to remove 1 of the 6 armors from Persian Light Horse. The one that looks like light brown padded leather, looks out of place, like Cretan Archer armor. I also think it would really cool if you used only the really shiny bronze Linothorax armor for PersoHellenic Pikemen. It is already one of the armors being used for the unit, and looks really good with Greek/Persian helmets.

Mauryan overhaul is up! . As per description, it will harmlessly override Arachosia and only it, the rest of the persian expansion will work.

Believe me, I'm honoured that you like this stuff. Dreamlore and I had been playing with your mods for months.
Of course I can't say no to that offer, as from what I recall we actually seemed to agree on a lot of general features and units.
Btw, I hope you didn't mind the revival of your Bosporus and Scourges or the mention in my Bithynian pack.

Hey Cataph i've been enjoying a lot of your mods for Rome II :)

I made a mod for the Eastern Empires (deleted off the steam workshop now though) way back before the Empire edition came out and recently found a backup i made of it (I thought I deleted all my Rome II mod files when i uninstalled it years ago). There's not much in it that you haven't covered in this mod (and others) already but i can share it with you if you're interested in picking out some stuff to use.

Actually, I've started the works on a Mauryan Empire overhaul of Arachosia as a separate mod. Stay tuned.

Eeeeh, it would definitely be nice to have such a thing. Of course, all depends on whether we consider Arachosia as the final frontier of the Mauryan Empire or the iranian satrapy we're accustomed to; or, finally, if we want an indian (mauryan) roster or an indogreek influenced one (depending on the bactrian expansion, a bit later, then). The first case would need a total overhaul of Arachosia. I also can't recall if it starts out as a satrapy or not, which would also make the indian option quite awkward.
I could however consider a solution working around the indian aor and the assumption that if your Arachosia/Bactria is powerful enough in the right side of the river, it will have acquired lands on the left bank of the Indus.
MY problem is that, since I mainly work with vanilla assets, making those new units visually correct or even interesting would be challenging.

It would also be interesting if new religions such as Buddhism were added and new buildings were created for the purpose of creating a unique playing experience for such a beautiful culture. While it would be quite anachronistic to create an Indo-Greek kingdom, as the first one was created in the early second century by Demetrius I, it would nevertheless be interesting. There is an abundance of material on the culture, religion, and military (such as uniforms, types of troops, and organization) of the Indo-Greek kingdoms on Wikipedia and other databases and books which could prove useful for the creation of such a kingdom. Therefore, an Indo-Greek kingdom should be created on one of the only games which could possibly allow one to do so. I would like to complement the creator of this mod, who has at least taken into consideration the existence of Indian troops around Arachosia and Bactria, and I hope he could recognize the value of having a decent Indo-Greek Kingdom.

Why doesn't someone make a mod for an Indo-Greek Kingdom? The closest thing right now to it is this mod which adds some Indian units to Arachosia, which was technically an Indo-Greek Kingdom. I have browsed the workshop many times and have been repeatedly disappointed at the lack of a decent mod which makes Arachosia into the true Indo-Greek Kingdom which it was. I have seen many creative mods which add some historical realism and new cultures, but why isn't there a flourishing Greco-Buddhist culture in the northern parts of India? Considering the fact that the only Indo-Greek Kingdom on the map is Arachosia, it would be amazing if one of you could create new Indo-Greek units such as chariots, war elephants, and decent light infantry and cavalry, as well as the usual hoplites and some Indo-Greek pikemen.

Still, I think at least one more higher-level spear unit will make Persia remain competitive when the AI factions are spamming Oathsworn and Praetorians.
