I crashed once in 1910 and didn't continue that game but do you think it could be the reason ?

If nobody joins on your side in that diplomatic play, then you will become part of the customs union.
If someone DOES join your side, a new diplomatic play is created where its you + your customs union overlord against the objector.
It's mostly a multiplayer feature.
I'm considering making a pre-game checkmark thing to disable it in singleplayer games, because the AI doesn't handle the feature very well...
- Mod Customs Union doesn't seem to work currently. It still treats you as a subject of your market leader.
- War is screwed. If an attacker/defender demands to let go of a claim you'll instantly get -2 war enthusiasm every week because "They control 100% of the war goals". Effectivly making it impossible to win a war if you're not completly steamrolling them to take the wargoals.
- If you're in a Customs Union and your union leader is at war if you don't have a direct land route to your leader all your states will become isolated immediatly without a need for the enemy to raid your convois.
That's all I found during my 5 hours of playtime. While the mod seems really fun and combines a whole lot of cool submods I wouldn't recommend it to anyone in this state.
