having a weird error when i load the Scrap SMG it says something along the lines of gunfighter can't get the mag type. Does anyone here know what that is because Brita's Weapon Pack and Gunfighter Arsenal have their comments disabled

Can you add a patch for melee weapons like knifes and axes to be able to scrap them?

Trying to use this mod for the CEC version of The Workshop, but the mod require the old version enabled to be used. Any advice?

@14:47: No it didnt. you have another mod causing a problem.
@Goose: Not yet, it seems like zomboid itself has the issue of it breaking equipped weapons down but don't know why

Question: Maybe I am blind but.....is it skill based to be able to break down the guns? I ask cause I am able to use the mod just fine but a friend who is on the same server is NOT able to break them down. Does not even have the option show up.

is it compatible with The Workshop Collection (CEC)? or needs a diferent patch for brita? if its only the gun break should be the same but better is asking

hi .. hope u are doing well i get an error when i read the ... magazines ... its shows an error ... i check mods it shows has been read ... its cats read mod ... and the patch ... any idea why ... should i change my mod load order

It does not affect any spawn rates. it just allows you to dissasemble them.

My gut feeling is its not compatible as that mod seems to remove the workbench item according to the description, which is needed to dismantle brita guns. but i havent tested it to see

Hey i was wandering if you could let me use your mod as a base to make a patch between The Workshop and Madax Weapons Reworked, giving you full credit for the base and putting a link to it of course.

Also i found that the magazine for your mod has a bugged tooltip, thats because the "lua" folder is inside "scripts", if you take it out of there and have them both the "media" folder it fixes it

Yes i did, still cant disassemble them. Im running the REMOD (but not trying to disassemble those), the britas mod, which are the ones im trying to dismantle and the "Advanced trajectory" mod as well.

Those are all gun related mods im using.

@David Hogins - Have you read the appropriate skill magazine from The Workshop to dismantle guns? this uses the same recipe unlock.

@Boss - Im unsure, As far as the documention for zomboid goes, thats how the game works anyway, yet i do know that somehow The Workshop mod indeed eats items. not sure how.

also if you care, i'm pretty sure if you import the script module from the workshops recipes, you can overwrite them as long as you require any of their files that contain the module that you are trying to make edits to.

@Ohai Gaming: it can be added mid save yes, if you want to break down attachment slike optics etc you'll need to find a new skill magazine for it, found in the usual places. regarding M2A1 refills my mod doesnt touch that at all, but I can add it to the list

Hey can this be added mid save? Also, me and some friends are playing without the patch (we did not know this existed at the time) and we are trying to refill the M2A1 canisters(not the tank) and the propane from this mods dosen't seem to work. Does this patch fix that problem?

yeah, i was trying to add them to the magazine from the base Workshop mod, which i wouldn't be able to edit. in the end I went with adding my own new magazine that teaches the recipe instead. slightly less elegant but 100% easier to accomplish :D

you can add extra recipes to magazine also just by adding a semicolon between each recipe name
no need for itemtweaker, unless you figured that out.

I *was* trying to alter the readable magazines to add extra recipes, but I didn't do that in the end. I forgot that when i set the dependencies clearly
