refuses to load for me!
krz.ole 16 Jun @ 3:36pm
After going into a submenu like farmer workshops or furnaces with you keyboard all the tabs become smaller (without the names), so it's possible to click what you want. Otherwise you can delete some lines from the entity injection file in the mod folder after you download, so that you leave the few you like (worked best for me, didn't cause errors when loading the save later on). Aside from that after some update lately I stopped seeing the workshop sprites - anybody also having this issue?
Itoshi Sae 5 May @ 12:49am
To fix the issue where it UI overflows off the screen this is what I did:

Set "scale interface to fit grid height/width" to No

During the process of fixing it I also set the game to windowed, not sure if it affected the outcome or not.
Whole Grain Milk Prime 24 Feb @ 4:05pm
cool concept but basically doesn't work
^-^ 3 Feb @ 11:33am
I believe it is not possible to create new tabs for workshops as those are hard-coded.

Game always adds custom workshops to the UI.

Hiding them and implementing another way to select them would be only possible with DFHack, yet modtools/change-build-menu is broken since Steam release :(
Sputnik 16 Jan @ 5:21am
seems abandoned, would be great if someone adopt over, fix and balance it

But not me, i'm too stupid
Theneoseraphim 4 Jan @ 5:42pm
Wow this is unplayable right now.
Kraken 30 Nov, 2024 @ 8:42pm
Yes please put these workshops in a sub-list
glassprismstudios 17 Nov, 2024 @ 5:02pm
You should absolutely put these in their own sub-list in the workshop menu. I installed it and it overflows off the edge of the screen and I cant read half of the selections now.

Would love to try it out in a fort but the first one I made is practically unplayable because of this.:steamsalty:
Kituneki 9 Nov, 2024 @ 1:43pm
something like this would actually be perfect for guild halls
ArchTerran 30 Sep, 2024 @ 2:00am
@Xsnowmagex
Thanks for figuring it out. :praisesun:
kwheeler 22 Sep, 2024 @ 4:41am
Any word yet as to progress on giving the new buildings their own construction tab in the UI? I'm really interested in trying this one out, but I've been waiting in hopes of an interface that lets the user see all the options without some being scooted off screen.
niemst 26 Aug, 2024 @ 9:44am
@Nomad
I would like to create a pure decorative mod allowing to place items to add some content to the rooms and halls. May I use the assets from this mod in it? (ofc I will refer your mod in the description)
Ash vs. Himself 24 Aug, 2024 @ 8:56am
Can you stop children from taking up all the training?
eugene__ku 13 Aug, 2024 @ 11:07pm
perfect as a prop:steamthumbsup:, put a meeting zone onto it to ad some flavor
birdlover74 11 May, 2024 @ 8:17am
The sprites are great, the functionality is great, but the experience gain is definitely a little bit cheaty.
zdc 8 Apr, 2024 @ 1:41pm

Secundox 7 Apr, 2024 @ 1:13pm
They were not lying. This is a lot of workshops. Same issue as everyone else, this would be way better with its own menu
Xsnowmagex 5 Apr, 2024 @ 12:48pm
I fixed there being too many workshops to see. go to video settings, change "scale interface to fit.." to off. Change "interface scaling percentage if not fitting width" to 100. Worked for me even with the magic crafts workshops.
BreadToaster 19 Mar, 2024 @ 3:40pm
Some of the placement vs. actual location placed are a little off.

For example: the OLD ENGINEERING STATION ends up 1 tile to the right and 2 tiles down from where I place it.
Growling Whispers 14 Mar, 2024 @ 2:40pm
I'm not sure if this is a mod conflict or what, but this mod seems to randomly not work for me, even when I load it after everything else. Is there some other mod that is known to interfere with this one? Sometimes the mod loads, but sometimes it doesn't, and it's a pain having to start a new game every time just to find out if it's going to load.
ReynaaFox 11 Feb, 2024 @ 11:19am
Oh, for anyone with the same issue as myself and others with there being too many workshops to see them all. If you go into the files for each building and change the [BUILDING_WORKSHOP] tag on some of them into [BUILDING_FURNACE], you can put some of them into the Furnace submenu. I did this to 8 at random, and voila! I can see all of the workshops now, even on my little laptop!
ReynaaFox 10 Feb, 2024 @ 11:20am
I love this mod, but like everyone else is saying, it REALLY needs a submenu. I often play on a laptop, and I have to remove this or I can't see all of the workshop menu, even setting my auto scaling off and down to %10 doesn't let me see it all. :'(

Please please please, add a parent menu in the construction tab!
Rohlik 10 Feb, 2024 @ 8:16am
would be great if you move all workshops under one parent option and not all into root workshop folder, it's really mess and I need to extend my game window to second monitor to be able to see whole expanded workshop tab :steamfacepalm: :praisesun:
defakto 3 Feb, 2024 @ 8:12am
I for the life of my cannot find this mysterious blue text.
KpecTHuk 6 Nov, 2023 @ 11:59pm
1) Mod started working when i put it on the bottom of the modlist
2) EXP Gain a little extreme, i agree. Maybe make it 1\4 or even lower
3) I vote for compability with floorless workshops, would be great
4) Submenu could be nice, but with shrinking by clicking blue text it is fairly playable
5) Maybe its only my problem or no, but positioning is misplased by 1 tile down. i can build it bottoms in wall and cant visualy align top right next to wall
moose 14 Oct, 2023 @ 9:54pm
For everyone talking about a submenu and this being unplayable, click the blue text on the left in the workshop menu and it will shrink the menu where you can see all the workshops without a problem.
gregolego gaming ඞ 9 Oct, 2023 @ 2:43pm
This mod SERIOUSLY needs a submenu in the workshops tab, the game is literally unplayable without it. This should be a top priority.
Querbius 30 Sep, 2023 @ 1:25pm
yeah, @Mrcalzon02 is right, and it really sucks. I like using stoneworking expanded and other similar mods, but due to the overwriting, it is just not possible.
Mrcalzon02 21 Sep, 2023 @ 12:22pm
also worth noting, other mods that modify the workshops list will overwrite and make this mod unusable.
weerribben 12 Sep, 2023 @ 1:09pm
Tried out wat @Latino30HB said. It also works on a good old 1080p screen. Personally I set my scaling percentage to 125%. But just mess around with the number to see what works best for you :)
Latino30HB 12 Sep, 2023 @ 11:24am
Personally to play I went to the game options tab game and I set the option "scale interface to fit grid" to NO. then, I set "interface scaling percentage" to 150% and it's perfect on a 32 inch 2k screen
Ole Hockey Thighs 7 Sep, 2023 @ 12:19pm
Great mod sir/madam. Literally the only thing it needs is the sub menu that others have mentioned. Aside from something like this should be implemented in vanilla even as something to help with poor mood as the game really doesn't have any recreational structures. 9.5/10
Tagaris 2 Sep, 2023 @ 8:44am
I'm having the same issue as the other commenters. The mod sounds great, but without a submenu the mod prevents regular gameplay (most workshop buttons are outside of the screen).
Zitrone 7 Aug, 2023 @ 4:28pm
Great mod, but I have problems with the menu, I just can't see all the workshops available, a sub menu would be appreciated
JuniferBerries 4 Aug, 2023 @ 11:12am
Following this mod. I also second the person on the second page of comments who requested a floorless version of the mod. That'd be amazing along with submenus. (I'm a big lover of the no floors for workshops mod, myself.)
Travisplo 10 Jul, 2023 @ 6:01pm
Submenu is desperately needed. Good lord so many workshops.
EtarnalAzure 8 Jul, 2023 @ 5:12am
A sub menu is needed to use this.. At least for a novice that doesnt mess around with mods for Dwarf Fortress. I cant see all the workshops due to this mod overloading the menu and I have no idea how to scroll back and forth.
Cytanger 2 Jul, 2023 @ 11:58am
While I must agree that a sub-menu is needed, this is very useful especially when archery training is normally quite finicky. A nerf is also probably needed for the exp gain which is extreme at the moment.
Huskey 2 Jul, 2023 @ 3:30am
Wow this sounds amazing, I must try
Gerydos 18 Jun, 2023 @ 1:01am
yes a submenu would be really usefull it would be amazing it you could add one
Draktanar 16 Jun, 2023 @ 6:23am
it's both usefull and beautiful, but without a submenu, the UI breaks a bit :/
[DF] Shi 11 Jun, 2023 @ 7:20am
This is a nice idea, but it's so big it breaks the workshop UI with how much it adds. Submenus would be great.
MangoCobra 7 Jun, 2023 @ 7:38pm
Can you please put them in a submenu? It's way way way too big.
Yeazzal 27 May, 2023 @ 1:07pm
Great mod for getting those hard to get skills!
Casino 25 May, 2023 @ 1:05pm
I have the same issue as @Star-Demon and it'd be nice if the list were more compact in one tab but I see that's planned already. Other than that it works as advertised, if not a bit op.
Saffer 14 May, 2023 @ 8:41am
@katphobia any luck since with getting this and other workshop mods to work? I'm having the same issue as yourself, can get them to show up for dwarves but not for Introdile's Kobold civ that I have installed. I also tried adding all the [PERMITTED_BUILDING:TRAINING_HALL1] and reactions entries etc to the kobold mods main entity file without success.
Dojando 12 May, 2023 @ 3:40pm
Hey there, what an amazing Mod! I love the design of the new workshops and I could just place them everywhere as decoration. But its even better that they have a use. Now my dwarfes can learn instead of staying aroundwith no jobs! :D
But 2 things I would like to say:

1. This mod needs a big BIG nerf. As it is right now its just too boring and OP. I have set the XP amount the dwarf gets to 60 insted of 600. That is twice as much as adwarf gets for doing the normal job task. Maybe that is a bit too low but 600XP is justway too much.

2. Can we get a floorless version of the workshops somehow ? :D
FrenchRobot 11 May, 2023 @ 5:56am
Honestly, i feel it somehow kill the fun of the game by making almost every dwarf a legendary dwarf in it's domain.
Star-Demon 8 May, 2023 @ 2:19pm
The way the game displays all these new buildings on laptop will cut off many buildings from the build menu that contains all the workshops. :(
