Haven't checked myself, but a compatibility idea would be: Biological Warfare https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3221550806

@ Lurmey Thanks! Had a wonderful Christmas too!
Lurmey 27 Dec, 2023 @ 10:43am
Hi Oganesson, Thanks very much for your response. I had actually spoken with some guys on the Rimworld discord who said essentially the same thing. That it would need its own C# code to trigger the hediff at maximum severity without the yellow letter.

I meant to come here and retract my comment. Sorry about that! I hope my words didn't come across as too accusatory. Thanks very much for your mods and I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. :)
OganessonG  [author] 24 Dec, 2023 @ 1:12am
@ Lurmey I use the syndrome system to give pawn immunity, so the yellow letter can't be changed. sorry about that.
Lurmey 22 Dec, 2023 @ 4:55pm
I'm with moo below regarding yellow letters. Why was this chosen as the letter type in the first place?? Yellow is for non-emergency bad events, not the GOOD event that is gaining immunity to a disease. It can't be the only option when adding a hediff, as Common Ailments triggers plenty of hediffs on pawns at random times and all it triggers is a notification at the top-left.
moo 10 Jul, 2023 @ 8:02pm
This mod needs to NOT have a yellow letter for gaining an immunity for guests. It's a problem evident with https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2992224079
Po_Polsku 7 Jul, 2023 @ 12:14pm
make this mod more "painfull" and craftable Plissss
Zhenginator 29 Apr, 2023 @ 8:41am
adiciona mods de vacina, ai vai ficar incrível com a implementação desse mod
Agbahizzal 25 Apr, 2023 @ 9:30pm
vaccines dont need a perfect immunity. that can account for mutation and super bacteria.
OganessonG  [author] 2 Apr, 2023 @ 10:05pm
@Morcalvin Sorry, but that will break the balance, because disease is a important part of the game.
Morcalvin 2 Apr, 2023 @ 11:41am
Could you add a way to craft vaccines?
Tec 9 Mar, 2023 @ 3:31am
i see, just has an issue with Diseases Overhauled atm as it also adds a hediff giver, so you get an error as there are now 2 hediffGivers in one <li>
OganessonG  [author] 8 Mar, 2023 @ 8:56pm
@Tec It's possible, but also unstable. If that mod has been changed, it will cause a serious problem.
Tec 8 Mar, 2023 @ 12:11pm
and then add to the existing hediffgiver
Tec 8 Mar, 2023 @ 12:10pm
would it be possible to change the hediff patches, to check if there is already a hediffGiver from another mod?
Inquisition 25 Feb, 2023 @ 1:35pm
This is great, thanks so much!
ELLIOTTCABLE on Discord 23 Feb, 2023 @ 9:46am
And yeah - it might be a lot of work to detour, I don't know, but the "emergency letter" for every single immunity has really, really gotta go. Just had ~60 animals get the plague, and the game has been pausing every couple seconds to yell at me about someone new getting immunity ... haha. )=
ELLIOTTCABLE on Discord 23 Feb, 2023 @ 9:46am
I really like the 'harvest disease from sick person' idea from @SAUCE__GODD - great way to balance out the power of a craftable vaccine, and adds some fun micro. Would be especially fun with the Communicable Diseases mod.

Ditto re: configurability; I also don't want life-long, but I do want "long enough that it feels likely that the vaccine will actually block one occurence" - especially with lots of mods, there's enough 'other events' that 1. disease events specifically are more rare and 2. that particular sickness is even rarer .

Perhaps another tweak that might slightly break immersion or whatever - could you perhaps 'up' the chance of disease-events specifically when a player has had the opportunity to obtain the immunity? Maybe that's out-of-scope idk.
OganessonG  [author] 18 Feb, 2023 @ 9:36pm
@Timou I use Vanilla HediffGiver to make it work and Tynan didn't make it quite configurable, which means the immunity will treated as complication. I can do nothing about it.
Timou 18 Feb, 2023 @ 6:11pm
Please change the sound when Colonists and animals will gain immunity to a disease for a certain amount of time once they are infected and the disease has progressed to a certain point.
hottt3 9 Feb, 2023 @ 8:42pm
The duration is still too short IMHO. Could you please add an option for the player to change the duration as they like. Thanks)
OganessonG  [author] 9 Feb, 2023 @ 6:54pm
@hottt3: Because of balance. I don't want to colonists have a life-long immunity because disease is a part of the game.
hottt3 9 Feb, 2023 @ 7:12am
Great mod and great idea! But is there a reason why the duration of immunity is so short? A vaccine is something that usually gives immunity for the whole life, or at least for very many years, not to mention a real disease.
Nycthos 8 Feb, 2023 @ 11:45pm
The amount of antivax in the comments is impressive. Go lick some door handles please and fuck off.
SAUCE__GODD 30 Jan, 2023 @ 8:05pm
Fair enough, what if vaccines required lots of time, resources, and specialized research and equipment like in real life? Maybe in addition to that, you needed samples of the disease in order to make a vaccine and maybe that could require a sick person in order to harvest
OganessonG  [author] 30 Jan, 2023 @ 7:32pm
@SAUCE__GODD
A. Blood rot only appears as part of quests in Royalty, so you don't need a vaccine to avoid it.
B. Maybe? But it will be really difficult to keep the balance.
SAUCE__GODD 30 Jan, 2023 @ 11:11am
Can we get
A. Blood rot vaccine
B. Craftable vaccines so that we can vaccinate our beggars and refugees
KemonoAmigo 29 Jan, 2023 @ 7:29pm
I'm glad we don't have to 3, 4, 5 extra shots in order for the vaccine to maybe work. Imagine how incredibly annoying that would be in game and in real life.
BreadandYeast 27 Jan, 2023 @ 3:32pm
giving vaccine on foreign pawns should recruit them instantly (mind control nanomachines from pfzier)
engineer gaming 25 Jan, 2023 @ 4:23pm
I feel like vaccines should be craftable.
OganessonG  [author] 25 Jan, 2023 @ 4:17am
@Morcalvin no, only several ten days.
Morcalvin 25 Jan, 2023 @ 3:04am
Do the vaccines give permanent immunity?
OganessonG  [author] 24 Jan, 2023 @ 8:07pm
@ThothHermes No
@Zeyther You mean Tynan's 1%? It's 100%.
Zeyther 24 Jan, 2023 @ 2:14pm
Perhaps trauma savant on 1% would be funny
Tydarius 24 Jan, 2023 @ 7:47am
is there a chance for pawns to die suddenly after taking these injections?
OganessonG  [author] 24 Jan, 2023 @ 2:38am
@profuse duck no
FOOTBALL IS ALMOST BACK!!!! 24 Jan, 2023 @ 1:13am
Is myocarditis one of the side effects?
Sea's 23 Jan, 2023 @ 5:29am
Really cool!
OganessonG  [author] 23 Jan, 2023 @ 2:26am
@Lord-Bird: I tried all the vaccines a moment ago and everything is OK. Do you have any mod that add "autism"?
Mactaverum 23 Jan, 2023 @ 1:14am
This is a great idea, thank you!
hottt3 22 Jan, 2023 @ 12:39pm
This is the mod I was thinking about. Thank you!
Rio 22 Jan, 2023 @ 4:36am

nothing to see here 21 Jan, 2023 @ 8:02pm
just tynan things. dang, oh well.
OganessonG  [author] 21 Jan, 2023 @ 7:13pm
@Large Moron I use Vanilla HediffGiver to make it work and Tynan didn't make it quite configurable, which means the immunity will treated as complication. I can do nothing about it.

@Varthian Actually, vaccines DO have side effects.
"Like any medicine, vaccines can cause mild side effects, such as a low-grade fever, or pain or redness at the injection site. Mild reactions go away within a few days on their own." It's from WHO.

@bilibili落形 如果两边都装应该是兼容的。
bilbil落形 21 Jan, 2023 @ 4:32pm
联机mod会不会兼容?
Varthian 21 Jan, 2023 @ 10:24am
Vaccine side effects? You Conspiracy theorist!
nothing to see here 21 Jan, 2023 @ 10:02am
When pawns gain an immunity there's a yellow letter with the nasty warning sound. Maybe a blue letter with the nice ding, or no letter at all, would be more appropriate?
Ariadne 20 Jan, 2023 @ 4:57am
Good to know, I'll try it in my modpack and let you know if there's an issue. Thank you so much for the help.
OganessonG  [author] 20 Jan, 2023 @ 2:56am
@Ariadne I think it would, because the effect is similar to Penoxycyline.
Ariadne 20 Jan, 2023 @ 1:29am
Would this be compatible with the Diseases Overhauled mod?
