Updated the mod to be compatible with 4.0
i also scaled down the Tzaangors to be the same as Normal Beastmen Gors stat wise (as they were a bit overtuned in vanilla and were, in lore, just normal Gors marked by Tzeentch).
Is there any other melee infantry unit you would like me rebalance ?
I had, in fact, a few ideas for edits, but none concerning the Chaos Dwarfs so far.
I usually don't try to touch the stats of the units too much when they already fulfill their expected role from the tabletop game and from my tests the Chaos Dwarf Warriors already perform really well for their price (both variants are essentially Dwarfen Longbeards with the armour of a normal Dwarf Warrior, but it doesn't prevent from being just as nigh unkillable).
Personally I think they are doing fine as is (I even find the Chaos Dwarf Warriors regiment of renown to be OP, As I saw them reduce pretty much every elite infantry unit of the game to smitherins with their bombs, including Ironbreakers and their Regiment of renown).
Still, thanks for sharing your experience, if you have any suggestion I'll be happy to hear them.
The changes to the Chaos Dwarfs infantry will not be released until I have a way to properly test them.
Thanks for your understanding.
They are not armour-piercing in vanilla, but they have a better base/ap damage ratio than archers if my memory serves me well, I also remember that they have better range than handgunners.
When I said "other units to be rebalanced" I meant "other melee infantry units" which is the focus of this mod. Sorry for the Confusion.
But that might be ground for a new mod in the same vein as this one.
Keep in mind that i'm a beginner, and ranged stats are completely alien to me at the moment, it might take a while for me to even figure out how they work, let alone plan how to properly change them. If i get into it will take a long time.
Thanks for the feedback anyway, I hope you have a good day.
While "Closer to army Books" is now considered complete it remains a beginner project from an awfully inexperienced modder and as such your feedback is more than welcome to help improve your experience with it : if any changes I made seem too much, not enough or if you want other units to be rebalanced as well, feel free to leave a comment.
Thank you.
Only other thing I can think of is the quality of training that would have an effect on battle vs untrained, undisciplined troops. Then again, slight tweaks to stats per level of training should reflect that.... Will be good to see how this mod performs!
