Pure art.

Surprisingly heavy in theme, though judging from the ARG for the regular game they may have been going for similar if non-nuclear ideas. I gotta say, making one of the engineers use the boop sound when they launched was... a bit odd considering the rest of it isn't that silly.

As for the maps themselves, I gotta say that last stretch in the plant was very tricky. I made it with maybe 3 seconds to spare, and I was kinda cheesing it with a mod that lets you moonjump anywhere. I really enjoyed it even if it's a bit more somber in tone than I usually like. Fine job, miro!

Also thank you for reminding me about Vinny's band. It's been years since I last listened to them.

Just a few moments ago, I was taking a look at songs I've listened to in the past, and I found Red Vox's "I'll Know" in the list. Naturally, it led me back here, as this is the first place I've heard it.

It's nice to see that you've responded to our comments, and hearing that there's a sequel planned is a pleasant surprise. And looking at Red Vox's catalog of music, I can't help but wonder if the song "Atom Bomb" will be used in the sequel. I probably don't have to explain my thought process there, haha. I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Thank you everyone for your feedback!! I am delighted that people are continuing to find this mod. I apologize for the confusing middle section with the heart pons; I should have made it more clear that they need to be collected to progress. And I also apologize for making the ending part too difficult for some players. There should be a way to bypass most of the balloons if you go to the immediate left, but that requires the time stop hat.

As this was my third level, I am pleased with my modding progress. This level took me over 120 hours and may be updated in the future.

And Mr. Man is right, Hat Kid has, indeed, locked the Ransans in a time loop of death. This is an important first point in the sequel to this mod. I have recently started writing the script for it, although I can make no promise of release date. I want to chill and take it easy so anticipate some much shorter maps in the Miro Modding Microcosm.

Again, thank you everyone!

Couldnt finish it ,
the last part was just terribly designed for a new player like me. Would have been better without the Time Limit. Sadly i have to Unsubscribe. Seemed like a funny map first , became promissing but the for me unfinishable map ruined it for me. 5/10

It was cool, confusing at the middle parts, but then got it through the ending in around an a hour but enjoyed. Nice story too! :pon:

Not sorry, if they say [NO CO-OP PLS PLS PLS PLS PLS NO CO-OP] I'm gonna play Co-op.

I didn't notice I was supposed to be collecting heart pons so I also got stuck on the part where you have to reach bow kid inside the electro pon. There was a message in the game about health pons being useful, but I thought that was just a tip for health and not part of the puzzle. But other than that I enjoyed it!

Hmm, where to start...? (Read comments from top to bottom, like with my comments on Psychiatry Depot.)

This mod was really well put together, and the storytelling definitely has a kind of flair to it that I've come to expect from you.
In the comments of Psychiatry Depot, your previous work, you mentioned the possibility of Hat Kid's backstory involving some sort of nuclear war. I loved getting to see those ideas fully fleshed out here. And that's not even mentioning the actual contents inside of the mods connecting together, something I wouldn't have noticed without a previous comment here pointing it out. You clearly put a lot of thought into these- the vocal tracks caught me off guard when I first heard them, too.

Y'know, the choice Hat Kid had to make is actually not too unrealistic. If you're not sure what I'm talking about, look up the Petrov incident of 1983. It's eerily similar. Both the choice and the aftermath are quite horrifying to think about, especially when put into a real life context. It's also quite disturbing to think about the lives everyone has to live- particularly those who work in the factories. Radiation is not to be taken lightly at all, even in this universe.
Mr. Man 17 Mar, 2023 @ 8:24pm
Though, I'd be lying if I said I fully understood the ending. Hat Kid is in a time loop, correct? She tosses the Time Piece into the reactor, reversing time for the whole universe, only for it all to play out the same way once more. The dialogue spells it out as a sacrifice, with Hat Kid trapping herself in a loop so others could live, but the reactor was said to reverse time for the whole universe, so would that not just trap everyone else as well? And if that's right, then the true correct answer to the final choice would be to break the cycle, finally letting go of the past and your mistakes. Yet, the dialogue seems to look down on this option... I'm not sure if I'm reading too much into it or not, so I'd like to hear what your intention was, or at least your opinion.

Overall, I liked this mod very much! Platforming was solid, and while I'm not too much of an emotional person, I still enjoyed the story. Good work, and if you have any future projects in store, I'm sure it'll turn out great.
DrawtoonzStudio 28 Feb, 2023 @ 11:36pm
That was really good! Considering the game itself is fairly vague on backstory, it was neat to see a fan-made interpretation of it. Some powerful stuff here.

I also like the gag with the gears at the beginning. :P

woah, that was a hella level, I like story

I'm glad to see more story-based mods of this kind.

Nice work! I was invested in the story from start to finish. The "choice" in particular made me whisper "holy sh*t" out loud lmao
The gameplay is nothing too crazy but it works perfectly for a story-based level.

The only issue I had was that it took me a good 15 minutes to realize you actually had to pick up the heart pons to disable that one forcefield since I didn't think the game would actually keep track of how many pons I've picked up, but since the game hints that picking up the heart pons could be useful, that's kind of my fault for getting stuck on that lol.

Definetly gonna have to check your other mods. Great job on this.

I dont know why but after being told not to now i wanna do it even more
mirohalia  [author] 27 Jan, 2023 @ 4:30pm
EXACTLY! The Miro Modding Microcosm is all connected (just don't look into it too far or it doesn't make any sense, lol)

I'm afraid there's no way home at this point... the only way out is the Time Piece.
Boiledteabag 27 Jan, 2023 @ 4:05pm
So this explains the hat kids in cages who caused nuclear war.
mirohalia  [author] 27 Jan, 2023 @ 9:27am
Thank you so much for playing my mod! I am glad you enjoyed it, and I am very sorry about the issue you had. The way that section is supposed to work is when the player passes through a large space after going down the zipline, the counter for collecting health pons starts and then the forcefield slides out of view when 65 are collected. It's working fine on my end but I will create a workaround and update it shortly. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!
Ms. Switch 27 Jan, 2023 @ 6:44am
Over all I really enjoyed this and it's narrative, though unfortunately I had to cheat to finish it because I couldn't figure out how to get to Bow Kid inside the Electro Pon force field. I wandered around aimlessly for a bit but could only interact with a few dialogue boxes and broke all the crates to no avail. But otherwise again I thought it was very good minus that one road block. :HatHealth:
