Wyvern, as for the loadouts and upgrades, restore stats has been updated and works again that saves a lot of time and Money.
Personally i have my 40 full and will pound through 3-4 of those 3-4 multimission missions and the others on some of the really busy planes, and i got the more
missions per location mod and i like to see ifni can clear all without needing to pause for repairs.
Im trying in my cold storage to collect one of everything, either a repaired mech i ran that is not retired or if it is salvage i never fielded, im weird and i know it hut im trying to collect beheaded mechs as i usually just head hint with gauss, i think i am 3/4 the way there.
But the restore stats mod makes that so much easier for those times i want to bust out a specific mech i dont normally use.and not have to rebuild it. Its on nexus and iirc its by BobbertModdert.

@LT.Dan Our playing style will be different in most of points. You aren't even able to understand it. It makes you even more stupid than anything else.
Theres a reason to everything, dig the question before jumping to the conclusion that "im stupid".

Dumb is missing the point and then calling someone stupid, mate just wants to collect stuff, it's not in any way related to your ability to engage in multiple mission contracts, besides it just being a chore with no actual impact on gameplay, putting and taking out of cold storage or just having the mechs fully operational only changes a few minutes of time wasted re-doing loadouts and upgrades and maybe a few C-Bills, it doesen't really add anything to the game.

Sounds like a you problem. you keep it in the Cold Storage when not needed than when you know you'll be on a Multiple contract mission then you take them out of cold storage the one's you think are going to be needed.
God are gamers today bad at gaming or just stupid???
First dedicated run through of the game right now and I have 20 mechs in cold storage and when I start off with single contracts knowing Im going to a Mulitple contract I take out the mechs in preparation and Rig them accordingly. Once I'm done with the contracts I place them back into the cold storage and I dont PAY A SINGLE UPKEEP.
Ya'll are just dumb seriously.

I don't think even 80 or 100 slots will be enough for my mech collection and build versatility... the problem is even if im finding a mod one day that remove the mech limit... im scared of the maintenance cost. Even if the storage cost is vanished with this nice mod, the maintenance cost of moch will be high with time. But i think its a risk i would be ready to take. I love collecting mechs and creating various builds :D:
But if the maintenance cost could be Adjusted, Capped, or even removed... that would be awesome

I am doing a lot of various missions. When missions with 80 diff are creating a routing, im going back to lower sectors and completing some missions with lower tonnage, with a lot of small mech combinaisons. I am also collecting Heroes and Starleague relics. i have created a lot of various builds from all heroes and relics that i have found. i would like to get the one im in mood to get when i want. But i can't because i have to put a lot of them in cold storage

From all 40 slots, im saving 8 slots for the salvaged mechs, im taking all good parts and im selling the remain of the mech. it takes time, and space. Even if YAML has a setting to prevent mechs to lose their loadouts in cold storage, it doesn't prevent them to lose their Upgrades... and it takes a lot of time and money to restore it everytime.

Extended, past 40? Sure why not, while i wouldnt mind i have really felt the need in my game even doing long mulimission stints in coop.
Nit criticizing, but what are you doing in your game to make you want more than 40 mechs on hand at a time?

PGI painted themselves into a corner then found the most awkward way to “resolve” that, and didnt explain their decision.

It's because you are effectively paying for other dropships. A Leopard only has 4 mech-bays and only has the space to cold store another light-medium mech if the ASF storage bay isn't used. PGI really screwed the pooch by not providing at least the option to buy/use a Union dropship.

I'm sure there's a way to remove all upkeep costs, but I won't toss it into this mod to prevent it from breaking too many files Right now, this is just changing one table, so basically 0 risk of breaking any other mods.

The upkeep bit is more complex and also gets touched by YAML and others.

Is there any way to make it so that mechs in your active slots don't affect your monthy upkeep and maintenance on top of this?

@necro55 I overrode a storage cost table with everything set to 0. There's a way to do it so it's adjustable, but that's not as compatible with other mods.

@mouse did you enable it in the mods menu and reboot?

There's still normal mech upkeep, just not the storage costs for additional mech bays.

I went from around 100mil to 0 zipping around the map looking for hero mechs to collect. 4.7mil every upkeep..... just so I can have proper loadouts for missions with arbitrary tonnage penalties.
