Ansonsten gute Mod, danke
Thanks. Sounds great. If you need the files from SH3 I can send you a link
For the maker of this mod : I can provide you some sound of a real 20 mm flak if you're interested
Torpedoes are in a pretty good spot. (unless your camera is pretty much inside the detonation)
The game is miss handling some sounds and toning them down isn't necessarely the best option for everyone, some people don't have any issues with the 88 being too loud, have you tried the audio fix mentionned in the known issues section ? The game uses wrong audio settings each time you launch the game.
A must-have. Great work !
Keep the good work up and im glad this mod is maintained :) Have a good day and happy holidays sir.
Just a quick question, does this mod include the simulation of sound? Its destroying a little bit the immersion if i can hear the explosion at 2km away the same time it explodes :/
If not, is it something, someone could implement?
The game doesn't make the difference when underwater, sounds doesn't get muffled and i don't think i can add that feature to the game just yet.
I made the thunderstorms very loud on purpose because they are known to be much louder out on seas than on land because nothing is obstructing that sound wave, but maybe i made it a bit too loud, i take notes and will make changes in the future, thanks again !
There are some issues I have noticed though, for example explosions don't sound muffled enough under water. I also noticed that thunder during storms is far too loud, it pretty much sounds like above water. I don't have real world experience of being in a WW2 sub during a thunder storm of course but from scuba diving I know how little one hears and this seems way too loud and clear sounding.
Apart from that amazing mod! Perhaps a little bass boosting and low pass filtering would make it perfect! If there's also a way to shut up the officers in port when restocking or selecting crew... ;p getting really tired of their 3 voice lines :D
Same calibre, different ammunition type. Muzzle velocity flak - 840m/s, naval - 700m/s. Might as well say that an H&K 45 is no different than an FNX45 because they're the same calibre. Not to worry, I'm not going to argue over the sound of two different weapons. They both go bang, right?
so completely different that they use the same caliber and had similiar muzzle velocity
The YouTube link you posted goes to a video of the 8.8cm Flak gun which is not what was mounted on U-Boats during WW2. The naval deck gun was the 8.8 cm SK C/35, a completely different weapon.
